That is true, but people are already having trouble looking for relevant info in this thread, so I'm looking for a way of putting it all in a single place. Something like Google Docs might also work.

If 720 inputs weren't so difficult to input I believe I can actually learn this character without any problems. Keita has definitely revealed some interesting follow-ups with her, she's not as weak as the first impression I had of her.

Do you use a stick or a pad? Because I find it easier to input 720 on a pad, not to mention that it doesn't send your opponent a signal to jump with its rattle. And even then, there's nothing you can't learn after an hour of practice.

Speaking of 720, any interesting ways of buffering it you guys can think of? OD and jump-ins are obvious, but I'm not sure about anything beyond that. 5C may be good, as well as 5D. In fact, people tend to recover ASAP after eating a 5D, and if they don't, you can do 5D again to get another level of Heat-Up. It might not have GETB's damage and pull, but it's still pretty underrated.

I actually play on both but I find myself using the pad more often then anything. I don't like to use my stick for online matches since inputs feel like ass for the most part. If I had choose one of the two I'll say that stick is more towards my preference. Helping out the Bullet players wouldn't be too bad if I think about it.

Here's someone buffering 720 from 2B?

So I paid attention to more of Bullet combat to realize that she does a roll on the ground to cover some distance with her dash. Can we mid-roll go into a neutral with 2a/5a? Does the hitbox become so small that we can avoid most overheads? Doubt there's invincibility during the roll.

If you're talking about 3C, then I suppose that we can't cancel it in any way, unlike Makoto's. At least it does low-profile a lot of stuff. If you mean her dash, then I'd say the same: you can't cancel it, but it's hella fast, so it doesn't really matter.

On a second thought, this doesn't really work, since buffering 720 during their quick tech doesn't mean that you're guaranteed to grab them: it doesn't seem to be active for that long. So all the GETB traps won't work here, unless you time it perfectly on their wake-up.

Are you sure about that? I was looking for that sort of thing recently and I saw her cancel dash into 2a as well as barrier.(the latter makes me wonder if theres any barrierdash potential)

I'll ask Kurushii about it when I get an opportunity. I think most "Gameplay Info" material will go on the wiki when Bullet gets a page so it might be redundant for it to go here. Since at the end of the day, the "stated goal" is to have the wiki be the main resource for content with the forum being used to discuss that content.

I'd say go ahead and start compiling info in a thread if you want, then we can move it to the wiki when those pages get started.

No, actually, I'm not. Got a link?

not the exact stuff i remember but whatever

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwTsysM1xoM 31 seconds in, cancels dash into 2a. 34 seconds in, cancels dash into overhead.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Of9hkK01Its dash into 2b at 6:16 and several other points

i cant find where i saw dash into barrier though, sorry :x i have a lot of videos downloaded because i look at stuff closely and i remember thinking "is that dash into barrier?" and slowing it down and confirming.

Okay, that still looks pretty cool. I wonder if you can only do it in the early frames of the dash, since canceling it at any time would be a bit silly.

Cool, I'm on it.

What should we do with the video thread? I suppose we should look for the mirrors first, then remove all the dead links, then keep adding the mirrors as they arrive. I wish I started naming the links sooner, since that makes looking for the mirrors much easier.

Posted

We already have some mirror channels, such as these:

http://www.youtube.com/user/HardEdgeOfficial

http://www.youtube.com/user/chronophantasma

For now, I think that the best course of action here is wait for Jourdal himself to re-upload all the vids on his new channel. He's been going at a pretty good pace, so I hope we get them all back by the end of the week. Still, changing all the links and looking for the Bullet matches again will take a lot of time, and I don't really have that much right now. I'm trying to finish that write-up, so I may do it after it.

Speaking of which, congrats to 909 for becoming the official Bullet mod! We need you, so try to visit us more often!

Yeah sorry I've been lurking in the shadows while I sort out my next semester at University, I'll be sure to make an effort to edit out dead links that are likely scattered throughout the Bullet video thread today.

Hey guys. I came across this Bullet user from Japan named BunniesFromHell. I asked him some questions regarding how good/bad she is.

Here's his twitter if you want to ask him Bullet stuff yourself. https://twitter.com/BunniesFromHell

that'd be me. i used to go by necrosis from about 2006 to 2011, i'm originally from chicago and currently studying in japan. i've won smaller tournaments here and there so i can argue that i don't suck, but i'm not a top player by any means. i'm very willing to answer whatever questions people have, clear up stuff, whatever's fine. i'll be paying attention to the thread for a while as well.

Great, then I'll go ahead and ask.

- Do any moves change their properties with Heat-Up, beside the specials and Drive moves? For example, there were some rumors over jBBS that 5C gets better with higher levels of Heat-Up, but I haven't seen anything certain about that.

- Are (j)5D and 5C punishable on block? People seem to respect them a lot.

- Is Snaphance Fist (623C, the anti-air special) blockable?

- Have you ever seen Cutting Shear (623B, the reversal) getting used in combos?

I'll be posting the info compilation thread soon, so give it a look and tell your thoughts about it there.

no moves change property with heat up besides drives, specials don't actually change either, just that you get the followups. 5C is the same always as far as i can tell, but it's also always really good.

j.D and 5D gain advantage with more heat, with no heat they're punishable but otherwise very safe on block and tend to invuln through DPs for some reason. can't explain why that happens, but meaty 5D will actually cleanly beat reversal houtenjin sometimes. 5C is about neutral, never punishable on block, BUT does have a gap inbetween any normal that chains into it, so vs hazama/tager/etc characters with stupid reversals you need to be careful.

623C is unblockable. anti-air purposes are limited by wonky hitbox/startup/etc though, needs to be carefully aimed.

i used 623B as a burst read once and it didn't really work out, other than that no. the scaling is horrible, off of 623B RC you barely get 5B 6B j.CD. even off of the wallslam followup, even with H2, you get 5B then they tech.

(j)5D becomes invulnerable if you hold the button long enough for the crosshair on the opponent to become red.

Thanks for the answers, I remembered another question I had: have you seen Crush Trigger being used in combos?

I thought this character would get good feedback after her debut but it doesn't seem like anyone is going to learn her. Izayoi is just too strong when you think about it. .

oh. well that explains that, we're all learning here haha.

crush trigger in combos is good on most characters if they can stick it into the combo early, bullet's seemingly a little worse off for that since she does over half her combo damage on the most common hits that set it up. i'm thinking about using it as the first or second hit of a DP punish combo, not sure exactly what yet but should be good. i've been using it if i don't feel i need the meter for anything else, in combo starters like H2 5DD 6A 236[A] 6A A+B, but the damage gain is just alright.

Hello Bullet forum!

This seemed like a fairly reasonable place to post this, but if I'm wrong I sincerely apologize. I'm a complete Blazblue scrub coming from a SF background, and I decided to officially invest some time into this series after seeing Bullet's reveal. I can be incredibly stubborn when it comes to sticking with characters I like, and (despite things I've heard complaints about, like her possibly exaggerated bust and weirdly "feral" neutral stance) I'm really digging her design/playstyle/voice acting/blah blah you get it. Anyways, I suppose what I'm wondering is...what should I be doing to best prepare for the transition to playing Bullet in CP? I've been training a bit with Tsubaki in CSE because I think she's also pretty cool, but if knowledge of another character's playstyle/execution/whatever would better aid in my future endeavors, I'm all ears. I realize this is a pretty dumb question, but I can see myself really getting into these games and I wish to train in the most efficient manner possible. :)

Oh yeah, and Merry Christmas to any of you who celebrate it!

With personal knowledge on multiple characters you're best off learning Ragna to some degree since their fighting could be thought of similar between all out nothing. They utilize every tool in combat and for the mot part always within aggression, their attacks swap between punches, kicks, and drive making them strongly similar with absurdly good hit boxes. The main difference between the two would be that Ragna has freedom of movement compared to Bullet dash.

If you're not comfortable with 360, 720, or 1080 inputs I suggest going with Tager until after you're comfortable with the motions and buffering various circular inputs inbetween presssure. Ragna 5C, Hazama houtenjin, or anything for that matter of fact. Tsubaki is not the best choice if you want some ideas between her and Bullet, probably the only thing they would have in common would be the air to ground confirm into oki which her options are poor for the most part.

Not a dumb question if you ask me, I'll provide as much helpful knowledge as I get into the character but instead of misleading you I rather have my hands on the game and learn all that I could with her. Provide personal tactics and possibly footage of combat.
