Zouf Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 2/4 a-cho Ragna vs Ayato (TS) @1:03 Is that a legit safe jump? As anyone already tried this setup?
Kiba Posted February 10, 2014 Author Posted February 10, 2014 It's something I've been actually been doing for a long time without fully understanding the benefit. If I'm doing this correctly, then it is a safe jump setup, and it's another setup I can add to the strategy guide. What's more interesting is that is works against Mu's DP too. Most (if not all other) safe jump setups wouldn't work against Mu because the 1f guard point prevents it.
Zouf Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Pikuri have become so strong O_O And his win rate is impressive. Definitely in the top 3 of the Tsubaki players

Monarch Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Solid gameplay Kiba, I especially like your 22B cancel at 6:50.
Kiba Posted February 15, 2014 Author Posted February 15, 2014 Thanks Frost! Kiba (TS) vs Ixis (MU) | Part 2 | Part 3 Better I guess.
Zouf Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 @ 7:14, all the Tsubaki in the world felt sad for you. Even this move is broken, goddammit arcsys
Airk Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Thanks Frost! Kiba (TS) vs Ixis (MU) | Part 2 | Part 3 Better I guess. Wow, this matchup looks 117 times more painful now that 214D doesn't go through projectiles. =/

Daedron Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 (edited) Wow, this matchup looks 117 times more painful now that 214D doesn't go through projectiles. =/ Yeah, I'm not too sure if this matchup became worse or not now(how's this even possible...), 214D was THE tool in this matchup and they took it away. And the nerfs to Mu's stuff doesn't really matter outside of Habaya. [4]6D > 236D is hardly a good substitute for 214 because of it's cost and the fact that Mu tends to be in the air or too far away so you can't even hit her with it anyways unless she does something stupid. But, welcome to playing Tsubaki I guess. :V Tsubaki OD Combo Compilation Description in video. I'm never going to remember all of them but it sure helps to have a visual guide! Thanks Keebs! Airk Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Tsubaki Option Selects & Setups Good video, but wish you'd left the text on the screen longer - even if it meant having to pause. I literally did not see the "loses to delay techs" part the first time because I was too busy watching the 'action'.
Kiba Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 (edited) Yeah, I could have done so on some parts, especially where I explained the 5CC > 6C~B OS. I guess my ability to work within a time limit faltered. Lesson learned though! Anyway: Tsubaki and Izayoi Combo Movie Edited February 25, 2014 by Kiba
chzchan Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 (edited) Anyway: Tsubaki and Izayoi Combo Movie Oh man that 3CC into 5A. I thought it was impossible to combo out of 3CC without a rapid or CH. Scratch that. They look do-able in the video, but landing the 5A is near impossible for me. Actually, I have yet to land the 5A after trying out a bunch of different approaches. The frame window is incredibly small. Hell, if any of you can confirm that it works, that would be great because I have been at this for a couple hours and it is not working at all. Edited February 25, 2014 by chzchan
Daedron Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 You probably need to land the 3CC at a specific height/timing as well, all together it probably is a 1 frame link.
Zouf Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Yep. That's like when your 3CC hits your opponent airborne, you can follow up with 5C even if it's not Fatal
Errol Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 it's easy to do on jin, 22d max charge > 3cc > 5a midscreen, whatever. its not good though.
chzchan Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 So it isn't really practical unless you have godly timing. Also, I am guessing that it is heavily character specific. That's disappointing.

Kiba Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 ONLINE GODSGARDEN Kuresu (TS) vs Puromete (LI) - To 30:52. Kuresu started off a little strong using the safe jump setups (22:20 which caught Puromete's roll, and 27:10 where he baited the DP) which were quite cool, though near the end he seemed let Puromete get out for free by making charging a priority in the last set (from 29m) Matoi (TK) vs Kuresu (TS) - To 2:14:14 Not sure if Kuresu knows that 5D > 2B after corner air enders is very unreliable in catching rolls.
