Ichipoo Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 I knew that Kurushii got his mook today thanks to twitter, it's just that It'd be more believable if I heard about the negative news regarding Noel's frame data from him than DC due to obvious aforementioned reasons. So yeah, 5A being -3 and 2A being -1, sounds bad at first to the point where one may think that playing a stagger grab/CH game with our opponents sounds difficult but we've seen Noel players get inside our opponents' minds before with her pokes. I guess it's to compensate for her damage?
Kurushii Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Im busy scanning, editing, and uploading it all to the staff. The scans will not be available to public as it's a published book. You'll have to be nice to your mod to give you data until our translators are done with their work and compiling it into tables for the wiki.
DC Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 Aaaaaaanyway I'm gonna temporarily disregard stupidity. Let's discuss the new frame data, anyone not on topic may get a time out. Recap: 5a changed from -1 to -3 2a changed from +1 to -1 6c changed from -1 to -2 6b changed from -4 to -6 (now unsafe) only positive change is... 5c changed from -6 to -4 (now safe) Other normals are the same. Crush trigger is 23f startup, +2 on block. Ask me if you want anything specific, can't edit the wiki right now, stuck at work.
Ichipoo Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Because he shouldn't need to. The level of distrust is huge here... :sI think it should be safe to assume that not everybody goes to twitter? But then again there's a chance that Kurushii mentioned on Dustloop itself that he got the mook, which I'm guessing is true.

But then again there's a chance that Kurushii mentioned on Dustloop itself that he got the mook, which I'm guessing is true. But like, I don't even use twitter, one should just trust their mod's word. I'mma just hope it was a sad case of info falling onto April Fool's Day... Also, if I could work the wiki, I could add this stuff right now, DC. Got nothin' better to do.
Litherain-XIII Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 The only reason i thought it was false info was because the following: 1- he told use info regarding noel from a mook but didnt bother to actually post a link at all is rather odd considering everyone would like to see the frame data in general. 2- kurushii said he was scanning the mook to send it to the threads basically but if he technically isnt even finished (i assume this to be the case) then how the hell DC know what the mook says to begin with if the mook for noel wasnt even scanned or posted yet? unless they PM each other specifically then it beats me lol XD

Got nothin' better to do.It really is, this was all bad timing if you ask me. Anyway will this do for now? http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/index.php?title=Noel_Vermillion_(BBCP)#Move_Name EDIT: Not sure where Crush Trigger would exactly fall under though.
DC Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 (edited) More random stuff, my Japanese is really basic so... Assault Through is now -4 on block (0 while in overdrive!) Spring Raid is now -29 instead of -34 lol Bloom Trigger -14 instead of -13 The startup for drive attacks in OD seem to be the same but they are way better on block now. A Optic Barrel (old B Optic Barrel) is +3 (instead of -6) B Optic Barrel (old C Optic Barrel) is +5 (instead of -9) Not sure how useful either of those are. Edited April 1, 2013 by DC
Chaoschao222 Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 but they are way better on block now. Like "average of 22f more +" better
Ichipoo Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 I'm guessing it be better if we included start up/recovery/frame advantage data for moves affected by Overdrive in parenthesis in the same box right? For example the frame advantage box for Assault Through would read "-4 (0)"
DC Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 (edited) I think we're still trying to figure out how to label those since it differs per character but it seems like only drive attacks are her supers are affected for Noel. Chamber Shot is -15 on block Valkyrie Veil is 48 frames of startup RIP astral finishes Edited April 1, 2013 by DC
Ichipoo Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/index.php?title=Noel_Vermillion_(BBCP)#Move_List Added the new information based on what DC and Chao released. I didn't include the frame data for moves affected by OD though. What do you think guys?
DC Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 Thanks for the help bro I'm stuck at work all day and can only read stuff and post from my phone. '
Ichipoo Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 (edited) I was supposed to ask shtkn this before, especially since I see him every week now but is it possible to sign up for an account for the wiki? I kind of want to get credit for my contributions, especially the ones I made to the Naoto wiki. Also Optic Barrel having + frames is hilarious. "Oh hey, one of your moves now give you a nice amount of + frames, thing is, they're too far for you capitalize on it LOL!" I could see players RCing it to continue pressuring the opponent though, in fact, I think I have seen footage of this before, just can't remember where though. Edited April 1, 2013 by Ichipoo
DC Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 (edited) The mook is saying Noel's 5D has no invincibility. Edited April 1, 2013 by DC
Chaoschao222 Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Both normal and OD 5D. Not a damn frame of invincibility.
Setsuna Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 (edited) Ok i see it clearly says mook at the bottom of the book. welp! i still dont see how DC knows the content of the mook for noel if he hasnt read from it yet otherwise he still would have just posted a link to the frame data instead of relying on kurushii and others to say its true. sooooo im still not convienced until i see it set on stone on the mook until then... If it is true then ill probably pop a tear drop but on the side of that ill be happy to see the frame data nontheless ^_^ Added to what Kurushii said Its been scanned and public to the everyone in the staff (we can't make it public outside of that without taking a risk) so I can view everything myself, everything stated so far is set in stone (or ink). Edited April 1, 2013 by Setsuna
DC Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 6 frames of projectile guard point (11-17) on her 6c for no apparent reason. I just it's supposed to be like shooting down projectiles? That will probably make the mirror match interesting since 5c is a projectile itself, along with most of Noel's drives, her 3c and a bunch of other stuff.
DC Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 (edited) Missed this... 6b startup is now 26 frames instead of 24 (along with the previous change of being -6 instead of -4) Her 3c is now 20f startup instead of 19 Her j.B is now 7f startup instead of 8. j.2c startup is 12f. 5d 23f startup instead of 27. 2d 26f startup instead of 19. 6d 25f startup instead of 30. j.D 13f startup instead of 17. Note that I was mistaken, in Overdrive, her drive starters do actually startup faster. Edited April 1, 2013 by DC
InWithTheAshes Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Oh, wait, you weren't joking? ... So did I call that or would you give some - thing like this a different term? Well, my regrets still to you then.
DC Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 Let it be known that, once again, all of this information is from the Chorono Phantasma mook. To my knowledge, mook info has always generally been correct (again, TO MY KNOWLEDGE), so god forbid something is incorrect in the actual game, let it be known that the mook was the original source of this information. The information is 100% accurate from the book.
LunaKage Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 I was a bit disappointed how they nerfed her normals, but buffed her drives, but hell it's whatever. Like I said before, the fact that hitstop has been reduced is gonna make these moves still useful to stagger, plus remember that 5A still gatlings into itself. The frame advantage wasn't what made those moves good to mindfuck opponents, it just made it easier. We will have to be a bit more on our toes, but it's still gonna be scary when Noel is throwing buttons at point blank.
Litherain-XIII Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Well if it isnt a problem would it be ok if i can continue the update to the noel wiki for her frame data? Im always availiable to do some work regarding noel stuff.
Ichipoo Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Added more "placeholder boxes" for the rest of Noel's moves so that adding the data will be smooth sailing from here for you guys. Not sure how you'd like to handle the Overdrive stuff though so I left it alone.
DC Posted April 2, 2013 Author Posted April 2, 2013 Uhh I don't think she's nearly as scary in your face, can't frame trap with 2a anymore, if you get but with a 26 frame overhead then I dunno what to tell you really, if I see staggered 5a's I'm gonna mash the fuck out of my own 5a. It's whatever, Noel is just becoming the Labrys of this game. IMO there's nothing particularly redeeming about her at this point aside from being my waifu~
