Can't believe yoshivi's reuploaded(?) a Noel CMV today from CS2, that's beyond bizarre, two games old, man :lol:

e; at least it was a nice blast from the past ;w;

Damn, that's pretty nice. Just when everyone starts leaving her and I question whether I should let her go to 2nd character status for CP, Shino breaks out some other stuff I haven't seen before.

Contrarily, Noel looks way too boring to me now. Her combos themselves look cooler, but her playstyle got even more D-favored. Even this reset's more D's :(

CSX U. Noel will always be the bestest Noel for me; buffed normals (shoutouts to standing knockdown), give the gun-toting girl actual projectiles, and slow, but powerful Drive.

Her lack of this killed it for me. Whch is why I played her off and on. My other either was her horrible air ender. They remedied both problems in CP (even though j.2C ender still sucks somewhat) so it's a lot much better for me. Her 22B oki stuff looks amazing to me as well. I'll miss d.5C oki but Im ok with this.

CP Noel ended up fixing a lot of the problems I had with Noel but introduced some new ones. Ultimately I feel the exact same way I felt her in Extend.

I know for me personally, one of my problems with CP Noel is her damage output doesn't come across as being that great. It might be good overall, but it doesn't seem to translate to matches. Obviously, I'm not asking for CS2 Noel damage (as awesome as that was), but just to keep it around CSX damage since that seems to be serving me well so far.

Her damage in CP was alot more stable. In CS2 it was retarded and it's still retarded in EX. Along with her absurd meter gain. Even on the most basic confirms. Ironically she gets more damage off her overhead in CP than she does in EX because of the combo route in CP. Her max damage is still very high, its just her average damage has been lessened a bit.

I have a dream!.......that little scrubs and pros, semi-competitive players and little casuals can join hands together......and pick noel........and judge her not by the content of her damage and drives, but by the content of her design and her potential. I have a dream!......that we all may one day sing ol thee a song for NVG: Noel is legit, Noel is legit, Thank God she is a good character! and not just a dumb flat chest bitch......

Nah, her character is what drives people mad, and giving her legit tools would be too logical. She got tools she needed ages ago, but now no longer have need for them as much when she does have them. Such is the Noel way of life... :x

how are noel's normals bad

Poor air-to-air, less than stellar 6A, C moves combine strike and projectile where the losing property is the dominant one (ie something that only catches projectiles will catch her Cs and vice versa with strike catches), short range on nearly every normal other than 5B, can't combo standing normals into her sweep without CH, negative on the majority of them...

mmmm... I'm sure there's more to it, those are just what comes to mind for me.

Depends on how you use them. I guess Errol is asking because when he fought my Noel he viewed her normals as really good

Using them well doesn't change their faults, though. People won with CS1 Rachel, she still rolled her wheelchair into work everyday.

They seem better than Makoto's anyway. You say most of them are negative on block but that's true of every char in the game... also true is that she has more plus on block than most characters in the game.

and the only 5f jab that hits crouchers I believe...

Bad is relative to the other characters though.

If you had a jab that has 100 frame startup and everybody else's fastest move is 500 frames then your jab is great.

I guess this is actually a CP discussion thread. But in EX things are different. and well, frame advantage isn't just about + on block vs not. 2a and 2c are plus on block, 2b is even and as fast as a jab and hits low, 5b is only -2 (compared to many other chars having -5 and such)... etc.

Her 5A is pretty silly. I heard it was worse in earlier iteration. Took them until CP to really nerf bat it by lowering the attack level. Her normals have their faults but they all have a practical use. Her ground ones anyway. Her air normals are complete ass besides j.C. And even thats not too good.

5b is only -2 (compared to many other chars having -5 and such)... etc.

And yea 5B. People underestimate hers. Max or med range 5B staggers blow people up really really easily if they keep disrespecting. That and the combination of how it feels to use makes it my favorite normal in the game.
