Chaoschao222 Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Most of BBCP Noel's normals got nerfed, and Tao's always been kinda random. Not saying THAT was a good idea, but similarly, I'm not particularly surprised to see it.
LunaKage Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Noel player was just not good. If the drive spams and flubbed hitconfirms didn't tip you off, then the random Hitconfirm > Purple grab whiff should have.

It doesn't matter how good a character looks on paper, if the player has no idea what their doing, they'll get curb stomped like a mofo.
Raptor Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 So all our hopes and dreams at Arc Revo lie with Kurenai-Ya. Hopefully he at least gets past the first round.
Litherain-XIII Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I wouldn't say all our hopes and dreams since I know that its inevitable that 1 noel will lose eventually.... it always happens regardless of my prayers....
Chaoschao222 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Not that it matters, who wins this has no effect on us.
Litherain-XIII Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 does it strike anyone weird that noel gets significantly less heat in CP as opposed to ppl like hazama and jin? evenryone else virtually got hit in the heat department but those 2 still shit out heat it kinda bothers me. on average im seeing noel only getting around 17 - 24. I wonder if there's a way to increase that.
Chaoschao222 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Hazama is the balancer's husbando, so no, I'm not surprised by anything stupid about him. And due to Jin's nature, his high heat gain seems the most natural.
Dark Ranger88 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 And due to Jin's nature, his high heat gain seems the most natural. Uses a bunch of ice attacks. Gains a bunch of heat ... ... ... ... ... *Pretends to understand and exits thread*
Litherain-XIII Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 it doesn't makes sense to me tbh. I mean if we were going by how many hits in a combo to garner more heat then ok ill understand how hazama is getting it because he's atleast hitting you like 30 - 40 times per combo assuming its the ridiculous loop he does. but then again noel does that too maxing out 20 - 40 hits per combo but you don't see her getting anywhere near that heat they're banking in. this also applies to other characters like valk, litchi, nu-13, etc.
DC Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 I've always hated the amount of heat Hazama gets, always funny to see people get hit by overhead > hotenjin though. Americans, Japanese, that shit is unblockable.
Dark Ranger88 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 And due to Jin's nature, his high heat gain seems the most natural. *Kicks door in* I DO UNDERSTAND!!! The answer is that Jin's power doesn't actually freeze things, per say. To freeze things Yukianesa simply steals the energy or heat from the person's body or the environment. The effect looks like he's simply making ice, but he's actually stealing energy from them and using it later. BOOM!
Moy_X7 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 > Does 214B~C > Gains 10 Heat at the end of the combo from the follow-up alone Gotta build that meter for those TK Hizangekis :D

The answer is he's a shoto with EX attacks in a game where meter is not granted from whiffed moves and does not transfer between rounds.
Litherain-XIII Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 and everyone else has CTs in the game too....cost 25 heat so I don't see why he so special to gain that much heat as if he REALLY needs the EX moves outside of 214D to make certain combos connect together. Otherwise its not justifiable imo. for all I care his other EX moves is just icing on the cake of basic necessities to win a round in general.
Chaoschao222 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Everyone has CTs... including Jin, that still gives him things he has over the cast, he's still special. If anything Platinum's the special one there, having a meterless guard crush. Jin's EX moves and his heat gain seem perfectly acceptable to me. Noel's heat gain seems fine, too, it's "normal" now.
Demon Wind Bomb Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I was under the assumption that her heat gain was "normal" in extend.
Chaoschao222 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Iunno, it was better in Extend, but she still got it pretty free.
Litherain-XIII Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 her heat gain in EX was rather retarded if you did the combos right you technically got 30 ~ 70 heat per combo but it varies from the hit comfirm.
LunaKage Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Noel pissed heat in EX. Corner combos basically meant anywhere from 48-70 heat, meaning it was damn near impossible to do a full corner combo and not have the meter to Fenrir for the kill.
Putin Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Hazama doesn't build that much meter in CP. He gets about 30 points average from meterless combos, I don't even pay attention to it in Houtenjin ones since meter gain is practically non-existent there. Other than that, the only times he gets significant amounts of meter easily is raw 6A which nets 9 points, and OD chain combos. Also, even if he did have superior meter gain to the rest of the cast, he still relies heavily on Houtenjin so it would make sense. I’d definitely justify it if he couldn’t combo off Ressenga 2stronk Jin’s meter gain also seems normal to me, but then again I play both guys so character loyalty might blind me or something :8/:
Litherain-XIII Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 30 meter consistently while everyone else gets 18 to 24 seems pushy 4 me. idk but that's how I feel
Putin Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 It's not consistently, it's only in the corner and off really good starters at close range midscreen. He's got midscreen combos now, but they need specific spacing in order to work so you still see people often going for the usual normals > 3C > Jabaki/Ressenga.
Surf Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Shino appears alot in this archive. Bodies a ton of people
