Ottawa: Why have fundamentals when you have gimmicks?

I only really know of Essay's situation regarding UMAD. It all depends on numbers and how many we can confirm. I'm down and I'm assuming LiveWireX is down. Anyone else who can confirm ASAP?

The closer it gets, the less likely it's looking, mostly on the healing front. Unless my healing factor finally kicks it up (which it might...), it's looking like two weeks from now these surgical wounds will still need way too much attention to spend a whole day out.

Also, the thought of Baiken is slowly growing on me. Maybe after another 50 losses with Millia, I'll think harder.

I'll be there tonight. Give her a try and see how you like the feel, I say, even if it's just for a few matches to see how you like her neutral game and options.

Did you end up picking up +R on your Vita though? If so, you gotta let me test out Zappa's new sword on that shit. :D

Ouch, that sucks on the healing part.

I was playing with Baiken with Rigel yesterday. I like her normals way better than Millia's normals and her guard cancels are interesting. I love to roll as Millia and Baiken can effectively do the same thing while she's blocking (!). Obviously not the speed and pressure demon that Millia is but I could never properly set up as her, anyway. Still theory crafting but I'm liking her at first glance.

I almost got +R...except my fucking Vita didn't come with any memory so I can't even download it. Until it arrives, we're SOL. /firstworldproblems

Ooh, a team, eh? I always need to relearn SG every time I play but I'll see what shenanigans I can come up with.

One of the first GGAC combo vids I ever watched was a Baiken one. Here it is. Still pretty great. I'd forgotten about all the slashback stuff. Mostly it's flashy stuff, but you can get the basic idea of Baiken combos from it:

There have been new people but I don't think it's them. I tell everyone to go to the backdoor and basement and no one usually even sees what the main floor looks like. Also, I'd also like to think that if you're looking for a dedicated place to play, you probably don't want to piss off the people who live there (at least, I hope people think this far).

That said, bottles of liquor have gone missing as well. Judging from the items stolen, it just might be a high school punk looking for kicks or a crackhead looking for stuff to sell/barter with. None of any my electronic stuff was touched so it's not someone who knows the value of things.

Unfortunately, this does mean that I have to close HQ indefinitely. Again, I don't think anyone from HQ is behind it. That said, we just need people to stay away from the house for a bit.

Sorry for the bad news but it's gotta be done.

Y'know, the culprit might be someone local or frequents the Bronson-Clemow area enough to see people wander in on Thursdays and Fridays.

There's no other reason for anyone to circle around a house and try entering by a back door that's possibly unlocked. Unless they're completely stupid and willingly to risk unlawful trespassing.

I'd say take a stroll sometime and see if someone left the stolen bike outside their house or garage. The common criminal isn't a schemer with contingency plans but an idiot who acts on the spur of impulse.

Well that sucks, I wanted to try out the AverMedia Live Gamer Portable that I got this week at HQ, I hope it gets sorted out soon.

By the way what's the status update for UMAD? So far we have 4 people (5 if Scott can make it) who's down for the tournament next Saturday. I don't mind chipping more for the gas & parking fee.

So with these numbers, I think we can rent a van and make it there. If we have 4, we can rent a car. Any more and we upgrade to a van (fuck 5 people in a sedan). If we rent a car, I say we drive there in the morning then drive back at night.

The only thing annoying with this plan is that I can't drink if we go and that was like my game plan for UMAD. Unless someone else decides to not drink and drive back but I think that kinda goes against renting policies.

I'd just like to throw out that I can always DD considering I literally NEVER drink anyways, AND I can probably provide a GPS in case you'd need one. Damn shame to see HQ go, but we'll find ways to keep things going. I'll be moving into Kanata in less than a month so that's 45 km off my round trip to anywhere in the city. Xbox, Evo monitor, fight sticks... it'll soon be a whole lot easier to bring mine into the fold for whatever we end up doing.

Today they broke down the Xrd trailer and gave beginners an introduction to GGXXAC+. CC of course has almost 65k subscribers, so the exposure is nothing to scoff.
