It's implying top to bottom, not right to left. It's only right to left because Hazama is on the right....

I am beyond happy that Blazen has returned. This and Holy ZEN are without a doubt my favorite sprite comics of all time, and when Blazen ended too I was incredibly sad. It's made my past few weeks to see you back to making comics again, SD, and I hope that you enjoy making them now as much as we all love reading them. You are truly one of the funniest/cleverest men to walk this planet.

I wish I saved them, I'd have to rewrite them from scratch. The Makoto portrait was the best part of that page.
