In the sense of range/speed, Lancer is about the same but with bigger damage output in combos. And MAN, Gilgamesh is flexable. He's mostly close range, but he got options of going mid-range and far-range due to his projectiles, and his sickle-chain/chain summon attacks. He looks really solid char. And Rider/Rin looks good, although probably not top tier, more like med/high mid. Shirou is weak from what I'm seeing so far, and Archer.... hahaha... I wish they discover his gameplay strat...

4r5 Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 chip damage "seems" pretty huge in this game. but you also have to remember that the life bar is doubled over. Half a bar is 25% life; one full bar is 50%. The life bar just makes the chip look crazy. also I want to struggle that Archer player. One of the other players just need to walk over and set him straight. atleast tell him to stop trying to poke with that knee.

You have to consider that the Gil player was using up all his meter to keep that string going. And Gil won more because the Rider player wasn't paying attention to his lifebar. Rider could of atleast push-block him out.

(i.e. all of her special attacks are projectile based) And man, Caster got some interesting mix-ups after knockdown against her foe. (Her teleport/jump-in creates interesting cross-ups/mix-ups) And if Rin is a close-range projectile char, Caster is more like med/far range projectile char, along with Caster's seal trap projectile looks insanely broken good. (And also seems to be unblockable, although can be jumped/sidestepped avoided) I mean, good set-ups for the forced hit with the seal or creates knockdown combo ender for more projectile set-ups for wake-up games... That stupid seal and her wake-up game IMO makes her at least around high-mid tier. Saber seems med tier for now. Alot of her combos don't reach 2000HP damage. (Some do.) But she's quick and FAST of gaining her distance from med range to close range. (She was taking advantage of Lancer's whiffs and close in for the kill alot of times) Looks like a balanced solid char but with nothing special from what I'm seeing. Berserker is as expected, BIG damage with big swings, along with sluggish moves. But man, Berserker can easily go over 4000+HP which is scary. (A single combo with Berserker means death it seems) FINALLY A GOOD ARCHER! Wow, weak individual damage but DANG, ALOT of hits. (Around 2400~3000HP damage range of 25~30+ hits, of INDIVIDUAL strikes...) Didn't expect Archer to be a close-range combo speed char. Perfect for combo whores. But Archer does have weakness. I mean, he have to burn alot of bar for his insane long combo and it only does like2500HPish. (Although his long chain makes him a batteryman, charging his bar up like crazy) And it seems Rider's super looks spammable. (Super combo into another Super... eek) ONe last thing... I SOOO want to see Archer combo into UBW! (I'm sure it's possible, although the set-up is annoying as crap)

Some guy was playing on a cab behind me while I was playing gear and he eventually beat the game. While the credits roll you get to play around with a little illya sprite, so maybe she's unlockable(since she is sprited?)? Cross your fingers.

And man, Saber is REALLY good at picking off the enemy from the floor for extended combos. The fact that saber has that long range dash in, whatever it is, made my day. I also thought I'd have absolutely no interest in caster, but I was wrong, bitch got some nice moves. And jesus christ potemkin...err berserker hits hard, his 10 hit combos do more than most people 30 hits. I still gilgamesh is gonna be an annoying fucker.

WTF) Man, not even Berserker damage goes THAT high. I might declare Saber God Tier in this game. (But probably not.
