Fujiwara Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 There was a patch? It's not listed on the main site at all as a 'version up'. I'm guessing this is it? A new patch to mess around with? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Big Ben Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 It's the Caligula zip. Just replace the contents of the char/caligula folder with those. Also a new .exe, haven't observed major changes. Mainly FATAL HIT was changed to FATAL SHIFT, dunno bout the rest.
OutlawVinegar Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 As Big Ben said. Judging by the dates and what's written in the readme file, the other files are: Es Laf ver0.x: Previous versions of E's Laf, going from versions 0.24 to 0.63 Sabun 20140102/20140106: System files/data/etc for the upcoming Es Laf 2 Sisca sabun131207: A Sisca patch from early last December. Probably worth installing that one too, as it looks to contain some various frame data tweaks?
Akiro Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 (edited) Looks like Forced Fatal Counters will now take one meter even if you whiff the attack. EDIT: Getting hit by Supers also disabled the both meters at the bottom. Edited January 12, 2014 by Akiro
Fujiwara Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Ill be getting more involved with es laf again soon. If anyone wants to get Tae'd lemme know.
Big Ben Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Yet another loop for your viewing pleasure. Airtight for 5 reps. Truly the most important thing you can learn from Puyo Saburo.
Zinac Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 It's probably not that interesting to anyone but people who are curious about how E's Laf is made, but I made a very (ruff) translation of the instructions of the sprite cleanup tool they created. I'm hoping to do more collaborations with the E's Laf team in the future. We'll probably be using it for Fearless Night to to speed up our sprite cleanup process. http://eslaf.main.jp/rakugaki/tool/tool.html
OutlawVinegar Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 So, I'm finally working on the Wiki for this again, after several months of absence. I'll attempt to provide updates once or twice a week and I'll be looking around for any videos, combos, and other information I can dig up. If anyone would be willing to help me with the Wiki by screencapping images, it would be incredibly helpful; I'm a total novice at image editing/video recording, so it would save a lot of time. I'll still do it if no one offers, but it'll be slow-going.
Fujiwara Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Do you remember the method I told you about in IRC?
OutlawVinegar Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Do you remember the method I told you about in IRC? I do. I'm pretty certain I still have the pastebin document as well. http://pastebin.com/dqgg70p1 As said, I'll do it if no one else with more experience will.

I'll still do it if no one offers, but it'll be slow-going. I'll contribute text data about Caligula. I don't think I have anything else not already said, just some Alcott basic move properties. I'll PM you what I have at some point if that's cool with you.
OutlawVinegar Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 By all means! I intend on finishing Reviel's basic page this weekend and moving on to Caligula and others, so anything you can contribute is appreciated.
caiooa Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Nobody posted it here yet? A update for E's Laf is in production https://twitter.com/yosimiduka/status/432998195497406464
SoWL Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Why do people post Twitter links that have nothing but a website link instead of posting the link itself? http://eslaf.main.jp/2/index.html
caiooa Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 because it was the oficial twitter of the producer, so people can follow him and pick info direct from the producer later on? Or because it's good to give the source?
Big Ben Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 (edited) I made a text dump on Caligula's normals. Feel free to use it on the wiki article. I'll post specials and some of my own stuff in separate pastas later. Does not include counterhit properties because I'm tired. http://pastebin.com/Rm43PqC5 EDIT: Now with specials breakdown. http://pastebin.com/4epP3R8M Also more stupid shit Caligula can do. Don't mind the quality, that's airtight. Edited February 23, 2014 by Big Ben
OutlawVinegar Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 (edited) https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B-OYnRTW_y7idkc4VjFkVE4wc3M&usp=drive_web Looks like there's a new Cecil patch in here now. Tweaks to his jumping normals in some fashion (j2B/j2C/j2D? Different normals, or just changes to his momentum or something?), and nerfs to meter gain, I believe? Edit: I'm being told that Cecil is now allowed to fastfall using j2B/C/D in exchange for half a bar of meter. It's cool, but kinda wondering why Cecil needs a buff like this... OutlawVinegar Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 http://eslaf.main.jp/index.html http://eslaf.blog136.fc2.com/ Main site/Version updated, with some of our translated work from the mizuumi wiki included in the new version 1.02! That's very cool and somewhat embarrassing, I feel the need to clean up some terminology into more proper English now. Also, I spoke to Freeさん, the developer, and I believe he's accepted my/our help in English translation for future versions! No pressure
feil Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Hi there I'm Japanese E's laf player. I created All Character's BnB movie,so I want you to watch. Since there is only Japanese Description Unfortunately, enjoy only combo if possible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nARFsnO5YI Since I'm using the translation site, it might be strange English.

Awesome! Now I have somewhere to start learning. Thanks man.
SoWL Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Seems like they're going for the 3D models in the second game: http://blog-imgs-70.fc2.com/e/s/l/eslaf/eslafkt0415.jpg
Akiro Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 If I remember correctly they are supposed to be like Xrd. 3D models, but they look like sprites.
caiooa Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 a test with it in motion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7v3FiGK0X0&feature=youtu.be
SolxBaiken Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 WTF did he do to Sisca? Now she has TOO much going on .v. Other than the questionable new design it looks all good. I wonder what prompted him to change cell shading since he already had a relatively good system with the sprite work and he already put in so much time into making those 4k Sisca sprites?
