Starlight777 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Well the affection towards Ragna was at least in the games, but I was more poking fun at the fact that she knew where medical supplies in a place she's never visited and was clearly lost before fighting Nu. Yeah, I was also wondering where she got a cabinet's worth of "Deus Ex Machina" painkillers in a massive building like that. Not to mention she came back awful fast for a place she shouldn't know the layout of.
mAc Chaos Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Clearly she has them in the same place she stores Bolverk.
Tokkan Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Considering Noel checked Ragna's temperature while still wearing a glove on her hand in episode 1, I'm surprised you guys are trying to make sense out of this.
mAc Chaos Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 The sad thing is I feel like Noel would actually do that.

Honestly that sounds exactly like something noel would do. Edited October 20, 2013 by Goldchampion200

The power of plot is extremely strong.
Narroo Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 The power of plot is extremely strong. It made her nod off last time in the game...which made more sense given how the game presented everything.
Kuraudo_V6 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I'm liking this so far. As someone who knows just about everything in the BlazBlue lore, this is eye candy and an abridging of events. I see the important points that push the story along, and because I know some of the background of it all, I don't feel any worse for it. You guys are just too overly critical, in my opinion. And let's face it, if we wanted a 100% faithful adaptation of a visual novel, we'd be here for like, 200+ episodes. And you have ANY idea how old that would get? It's not a weekly series like One Piece or Naruto is. Even Fate/Zero, while getting a lot of the important points, could have served to been longer and in essence relied on knowledge of Fate/Stay Night to obtain a better connection with some characters. Biggest example, if you didn't play Fate/Stay Night for Heaven's Feel route or any of them really, seeing the way Kotomine is in Fate/Zero doesn't seem as sad. Sad thing is that people just want everything and anything done like the original in all ways. That just can't work unless everything is drawn out. Could you imagine a whole episode directed around Shirou's inner thoughts while planning stuff with Rin and Saber or something? Can't you guys just take a step back, grab a drink and enjoy it as BlazBlue fans? If you can't, no big deal it's your opinion and all, but holding it up to the original? It'll NEVER stack up. EVER.
mAc Chaos Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Yeah, I am just enjoying it for what it is. I just like seeing it animated.
Kuraudo_V6 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I keep playing over the moment at the end of episode 2 where Noel saves Ragna. That version of Bullet Dance...Noel's moeness, Ragna's "erm", I fanboy. Come at me. I ain't even talking about Ragna x Noel shipping either. It's just... "Your sister clone just saved your life and she's being adorable. My little sister can't be this cut--wait a sec," LOL

Well I never really liked BB's plot anyways so I'm not giving the anime any credit to redeem the already train wreak of a plot. With only 12 episodes to tell the story I knew it was going to be rushed and aimed at established fans of the series. I just wish they would of utilized the time better, if they don't have enough episodes to retell the plot they could of approached it as alternate storylines or delved deeper into some of the characters backstories.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted October 20, 2013 Author Posted October 20, 2013 I already know the anime is shit, but as a fan of the series I'm going to enjoy it for what it is. Only thing I can do.

Telling people to knock one back and enjoy it is a terrible argument; it can be applied to just about anything.

I don't think anyone really expects a VN adaptation to do a 1 to 1 translation of the events. People just want it presented in a good cohesive fashion that suits an anime format. Using Fate/Zero isn't a good example considering that's a prequel light novel made after(and that HF was helpful to know prior to reading F/Z anyway). So it's not a huge problem if the anime didn't cover something that wasn't even in the LN. That would've been a good example if people were complaining about that on a Phase Shift anime. There's still been good adaptations of LNs or VNs that left a lot of material out, so it's not fair to not let people want something more than just a cash in/ad.
Volt Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 The only problem of the anime is the rushed plot. It would have been awesome to see the church's scene or at least be able to show it to someone that didn't play the games but the anime itself isn't so bad.

The events of blazblue is quite a long story to cover up in just twelve episodes. If only they doubled the duration of all the episodes then they might be able to explain everything (or atleast cover up the major events in each non-subcharacters individual storyline). But then it could be about their budget that is causing the events(like the fight scenes) to get over with in -60 seconds. Wich makes me thing about that p3 movie that comming out... how will they summarize a whole year in just 2hrs? Sent from my LG-MS770 using Tapatalk now Free

I gotta say, that is one thing I do agree with. The church scene and Ragna being found afterwards and the weight of the situation becoming apparent, and then a cut to the failed timeline. THEN we can go ahead and abridge stuff. lol

Two episodes in and we're already at the conclusion of CT. With a story as complex as BB, there should be plenty of ground to cover without it being considered "filler".
BlackYakuzu94 Posted October 21, 2013 Author Posted October 21, 2013 I wonder if this series would have benefited if it was 26 episodes.
Shadow Draygon Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I wonder if this series would have benefited if it was 26 episodes. 5 episodes of plot, 21 of magical school girl adventures with Noel.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted October 21, 2013 Author Posted October 21, 2013 5 episodes of plot, 21 of magical school girl adventures with Noel. Silly, this isn't Remix Heart....oh god, they animate that.
Tokkan Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Silly, this isn't Remix Heart....oh god, they animate that. There are people on /a/ who think Remix Heart would've made for a better anime. Then again, that is 4chan.
Shadow Draygon Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 That would be tap dancing near Highschool of the Dead territory; now I want a crossover of Reverse Trap Dizzy and friends trying to out fan service them.
Mucky Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Real talk, when Hazama said BINGO I had to pause the video and walk that shit off.
