Shadow Draygon Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Ragna's half vampire, and the Azure Grimoire steals energy so it can effectively heal him too.
Errol Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I knew I remembered rachel biting ragna after the fire to save him seriously? And what the hell is a half-vampire
Shadow Draygon Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 And what the hell is a half-vampire It means Rachel got off but Ragna didn't. The very foundation of their whole relationship.
harmless kitten Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I personally don't think he's a half-vampire because I have never seen it mentioned in anything official, but I don't want to dredge up that argument again haha Most of his healing in the game is from the Azure Grimoire, like his lifesteal. One eye green, one eye red. It's math. Rachel only bites him in one time loop, but he has a red eye in all timelines. Plus it stops working in Phase 0. It's considerably more likely to be the product of the Azure Grimoire.

Master Of Chaos Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Ragna was only bitten in first loop according to supplementary material.
00Bubbles00 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 (edited) So is Takamagahara the one that tries to fire Take-Mikazuchi in a vain attempt to disrupt the timeline disruption? Or was it to destroy Mu-12 which they had detected? Edited October 16, 2013 by 00Bubbles00
mAc Chaos Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Ragna was only bitten in first loop according to supplementary material. That is what we call a retcon. How did he survive the other loops then. So is Takamagahara the one that tries to fire Take-Mikazuchi in a vain attempt to disrupt the timeline disruption? I am pretty sure that is why they got all up in her grill later for interfering. "Y U NO LET US RESET" Now that I think about it, I have forgotten what it is, that exactly causes the timeline to reset in the first place. Just because Ragna and Nu jump into the past shouldn't matter to the present timeline. I guess it is Take-Mikazuchi, but that always looked like it was just going to blow up the city only. However, it's an NOL weapon so it's possible Hazama was using it for some reason. I forget.
Errol Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Where exactly? I can't say, it's the only BB game I've actually played the story on though and I just remember it happening. and first loop only? MORI PLZ
Master Of Chaos Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I think it went something along the lines of Rachel discovered Ragna during the first loop when she was thirsty, then just gave him the Azure every other loop from then on instead of drinking his blood. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure she only bit him one time.
mAc Chaos Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 But he didn't get the Azure until later, when Rachel brings him to the Black Beast's corpse and is like, "There it is, go get him." And then Ragna went and attached it, and started training with Jubei.
Master Of Chaos Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 ....Didn't Ragna wake up with his arm fixed? I remember his CS story having a flashback where he just woke up with the damn thing already attached on his body. Anyway, we are getting REALLY off topic. We should stop this line of discussion now.
Narroo Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Well, if Noel died, then wouldn't the power of the "Eye" have fallen to Takamaragara?
BlackYakuzu94 Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 Well, if Noel died, then wouldn't the power of the "Eye" have fallen to Takamaragara? I think this was said somewhere, which is why Rachel didn't want them to nuke everything.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 This is the closest I've come to seeing Hakumen losing to Ragna in BK. I guess Mori never shows Hakumen losing to Ragna on screen in order to maintain his badass demeanor. Also take notes Hakumen players, Hakumen didn't even mash D once and still bodied Ragna's shit. Shoutouts to Hakumen using kishuu though. I enjoyed this episode, now to see Ragna get bodied by Hazama is all I need.
Shadow Draygon Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 You need a PhD in it. The lore is a mess even if you understand it, which is only 5% of the time.
kylehyde Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Even in the game they didn't show how Ragna beat Hakumen. He just shows up in the nick of time to save Noel from Nu. I was kind of disappointed, I wanted to know how the hell he got out of that. I doubt he outright beat Hakumen and left his body laying there like Jin. Also, I always figured that Rachel used the Tsukuyomi unit to save Ragna's life not Noel. I mean, even when she has that meeting with Takemagahara, they're wondering why the hell Ragna is so valuable.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 Ya know what I found weird was how Ragna was smiling when he was killing Nu in the Akitsu branch, getting some sadistic glee off that. I was like "..yoooo" I guess killing replicas of your sister isn't good for the sanity.

MORI PLZ I'll go through CSE again. I don't remember anything like that but I have a bad memory in general. Yes, first loop only. the exact phrase is 初期のループでラグナを助けるために生涯一度だけ吸血を試みた。So the translation would be "In the initial loop for the sake of saving Ragna she tried sucking blood for only once in her lifetime." note lifetime here is 生涯, and it means one's existence till death, so rachel only sucked blood once in her entire lifetime time, complete with loops. Ya know what I found weird was how Ragna was smiling when he was killing Nu in the Akitsu branch, getting some sadistic glee off that. I was like "..yoooo" I guess killing replicas of your sister isn't good for the sanity. Nu mentions how he's smiling in the game too, but the various adaptations show his crazy smile. Ragna had mad anger issues in CT, and I guess he really took it out on Nu. Edited October 16, 2013 by harmless kitten

I'm guessing that might of been the Ragna that wanted to destroy the world. His black beast alter ego?
BlackYakuzu94 Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 Well he did acknowledge that he hates the world and everything in it and was completely ok with destroying everything along with Nu when he thought he was helpless. Ragna was just full of problems in CT wasn't he.
