I know Mikado has awoken now but I wonder on which episode she will take action. I mean like, I wonder if she will take action BEFORE Rachel faces her and before she appears in front of Ragna, Jin, Noel and Hakumen at the end.

The thing is, it doesn't have to "compensate" for anything, you just have to take the show as a whole, not pick the worst parts and wonder why the show looks so bad. If I were to make a gallery of the few objectively good parts of the show, I could say that none of its worst parts could make these particular episodes worse. But I don't, because that's just as fallacious.

And I'm not sure what the backgrounds have to do with this :psyduck:

I'm saying that if the remaining animation was of very fine quality, I could find it understandable towards them slipping up disproportionately within a few segments. However, it isn't. At best, it's average within terms of detail, fluidity, and, I would say, direction. And concerning the backgrounds, that would be due towards the fact that CG, in general, takes less resources than hand - drawn animation.

Is this where we go and compare the exact percentages of subjectively bad animation in different shows? (Not talking about double phones and stuff like that, of course). Some SHAFT shows are notorious for having a lot of QUALITY slip through the cracks, some would say that BB has it good compared to those. And those are made by an experienced studio, too, which is not as justified as BB being animated by newbies.

"Bad" is still an incorrect term, as always, but it's not subjective that animation is low - budget when this many things are notably out of proportion. and even if so many things would include mistakes, there are little times when you see such an amount of incorrect art within a series as this one.

I am like wondering who will fight against Hazama, like I wonder if the anime will do a few battles for him other than Ragna.

They should release an anime special or OVA that pertains to a gag ending 8D. Like Ragna's Ghost gag ending and Spectacles of Eros gag ending, but done in a bit different way XP

Why can we see the outlines through her hair :psyduck:

Being able to see outlines of characters' eyebrows and eyelashes through their hair is very common in anime, almost any anime you watch will probably feature this. It's cool and magical.

in bakuman you can even see the eyes through sides of the glasses http://lurei.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/bakuman-s2-ep-21-3.jpg

it's done because the eye a very expressive and defining feature of the face (you can usually see eyes as the focus of attention in photography/cinema), and in the medium that is anime, this epressive and defining power is needed more than anything. Hense the small artistic allowance.

I love the fact that you can see the eyes along with eyelashes and eyebrows through hair in a lot of anime, it is indeed very expressive and it really adds charm and uniqueness to it.

Well, just got done watching Ep.9 (streamed about an hour earlier than usual), almost a certain amount of the cast gets some exposition, and some other stuff here...

-Litchi meets Arakune, Noel and Makoto time, Tager goes against Hazama (guess who gets wrecked...), then Jin goes against Tsubaki, uses plot device, uses swag saying like Hakumen and immediately goes "Unlimited", Tsubaki also immediately goes to her Dark self after getting beaten, and then a Ragna/Jin rematch coming next time, and then introducing the Imp. Librarius. There's more to the episode though, but you guys should watch it to figure it out.

Good episode. Seems they truly are going anime-original route instead of 100% following the game's route. But it is understandable as this is a whole anime with an integrated route instead of separate routes per character.

I knew Tager would lose against Hazama =w=;

So they changed the order of the fights for Jin. It normally should have been Jin vs Ragna THEN Jin vs Tsubaki, but they did it vice versa. And yeah, as I expected the Mikado moved right away after awakening, instead of hiding then appearing at the end like the game.

And I see Lambda is dreaming. Dreaming about Ragna obviously <3 (Kokonoe... just leave poor Lambda alone DAMN IT DX)

I wonder if Makoto will follow her original route from the games or it will be different for her too. Obviously from the previews I am going to guess Noel is captured (like Makoto can defeat Terumi = =).

As I mentioned before about Litchi joining the Mikado's side, nice job for anime staff for covering that right away (since they wouldn't have had much space to cover that if things went too late).

I always love Childish Killer BGM. XD

And Jin finally used his version of the pre-battle sentence :p

I like how Hazama is getting more stuff done in one episode than Ragna (or any of the cast) has done in the entire series.

Guess it helps when you got a teleporting slave with you.

And when Jin finally drew Yukia he had hands as big as Tager.

And the power of the order/ice has the power to strip/x-ray clothes off.

So, is this show turning out to be good? I only really gave the first 2 episodes a chance.

Episode 6~9 has been good so far. Episode 8 was the most best for me <3

Episode 9 was probably the best animated. Jin gets neglected for half the series and then comes back with one of the better fights :\

But yea, good episode. Nice buildup and everything without deviating too much from the games, and it actually makes Makoto's role relevant, even if it is just losing to Hazama for Noel.

And now Ragna vs. Jin round 2....itss gonna go about as well as you expect.

Yeah, considering we never had another good Ragna vs Jin in the games' story =w=;

It makes you wonder how they're gonna handle it. In CS, Jin couldn't even fight before Ragna tells him why, but since Jin has already awakened to the Power of Order. What's it gonna be this time.

Dammit, why did this episode have to be good, now I wanna see more

I'm hoping they'll follow at least some parts of the game and pit Hazama against Rachel, Hakumen, and Valkenhayn. That'll be at least interesting to see.

Still disappointed they didn't show the full fight between Hazama and Tager but I guess it's pretty much drive spam to death.

I always thought Hakumen was way more chill than Jin, it's as if those 90 years he spent frozen in the boundary gave him time to cool down.

Puns aside, it's nice to see a visual representation of what they meant, the Power of Order (or PoO for short) has always just been this intangible thing to me.

Its basically a generic power up aura, but yea I guess.

I love how Ragna ignores his epiphany from last episode and basically just says "fuck it" and goes after Terumi anyway. Character Development at its finest.

I wish there was more Hakumen too.

We didn't even get a scene with Tsubaki being a total fan girl for him.

That's Ragna for ya.
