Chaoschao222 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 We're talking about the anime technically, so I think we're cool. Yes, I don't mind this discussion, as it's about wishes for a dub on the anime. It's not a conversation that needs to go on for too long, but there's nothing wrong with it so far I'd much rather have this than a wall of CAPS, argument-starting opinions, and/or more image quoting (rip people ever reading Zepp rules )
Shinhwa Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 I... I am sorry.... *grabs all my Lambda goods and goes into a corner*
InWithTheAshes Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Why do I keep forgetting to post these. Anyway, gallery time people! Including Arakune's stair - beating levitation tricks, Kokonoe's highly advanced no - hole lollipop container technology, Makoto using her spare purple beret for a small amount of time, Valk's mustache, and Ragna demonstrating both his weaponry's size - changing abilities and his skill within forming strange facial expressions.

Holy shit that art. I don't watch this show but I want to see that episode, because there's no way the art can be that goddamn bad. This whole show looks like it was animated on two bucks worth of money.
Luminos564 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 You know I come to Alter Memory for the odd moments of brilliance like the Ragna and Lambchops bonding, but I stay for things that can be maliciously used out of context. Like so. Ah, it's the simple pleasures in life that really matter :grin:.
LionHeartx Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Why can we see the outlines through her hair
Shinhwa Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 The hell... I just checked the information about the studio TeamKG, that was responsible for animating this anime, but this studio is totally new... O_o It doesn't have any other previous animation works
InWithTheAshes Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Actually, I think Studio Hood (HOODS Entertainment) is responsible for this. Not KG (who I will admit I don't think I've ever heard of). Holy shit that art. I don't watch this show but I want to see that episode, because there's no way the art can be that goddamn bad. This whole show looks like it was animated on two bucks worth of money. Oh, believe me. It's real. I can send you the other galleries if you like~

Legacy Edge Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 HY HEART LAMBDYYYYYYYYYYYY Oh god, my heart melted with this episode. How in the world was this mess of an anime able to produce an episode that was actually a positive addition to a lackluster part of the original series? I had dropped this after the first episode, because i found it a weird mashup of scenes from the games with some quite embarrassing moments and all of this being quite badly animated. I wanted to pick it back up for some time but i decided to do it after i heard there was a lambda episode. At the second episode and after this i looked it from a different angle. It was a quite enjoyable way to remember the events of CSEX, much more relaxing and entertaining. I would never recommend it to someone who has not played the games, but for fans of the series its very entertaining, if you look at it off course with no expectations. So yea, i enjoyed episode 2-7 a lot. I actually hadn't watched anime for about a month, but it was definately a nice way to "come back" (off to catch up with HxH now). And then episode 8 came, that was excellent. Actually it wasn't only the feels, Ragna was pretty good especially with the realization he came to at the end and kokonoe was pretty funny. Apart from that the anime in general had some pretty good moments like Hazama raging after tsubaki and noel failed to kill each other at episode 7 and tao being the awesomeness she is. And seriously i never found noel annoying in the games, but here well....she kinda does annoy me :S Anyway i always thought that BB's story had potential in an anime adaption given of course the correct studio. Well Alter Memory is definitely not the masterpiece of the year but its not bad for a fan of the series. They might have actually gotten a better studio to adapt it if they waited maybe a year or so. Well KG doesn't have the hghest budget of them all. So all in all, looking forward to the next episode. Actually looking forward to Hazama-Ragna-Lambda at the climax. Im ready for Sugita's and Nakamura's awesome voice acting to blow me away, and of course for lambda's cuteness to shine once again. Anyone knows if the DVD's are selling well? Preorders were decent i believe when it first came out.

This whole show looks like it was animated on two bucks worth of money. This was actually average for this anime, the art is usually worse. However, everyone can enjoy watching it one way or the other, since the plot is cool and the art fluctuates between good and hellish. So you can watch it because you like the plot, because you like the game or because you want to mock it like almost everyone in this thread. How cool is that?
kibakirain Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Why can we see the outlines through her hair I believe someone has already explained. If i remember it clearly i believe he said something about the hair being thin enough to see the eyes behind it. Its pretty common in anime.

Preorders were decent i believe when it first came out. Now you see how I totally feel about this episode <3 Lambda is too disgustingly adorable and she melted my heart for sure. XD Noel was annoying for me due to well... she isn't really the commonly known "heroine" character ^^; She is a battle-female heroine in a way I guess. Not a romantic type heroine (well this is a fighting anime/game), but there are other reasons why I am kind of annoyed of her... Kokonoe although I somewhat hate her attitude towards artificially made beings and her selfishness, she can be a funny character I guess :p It was verified that the animator studio was indeed TeamKG, and they have no history of any animation works whatsoever. So practically saying, Chronophantasma and Alter Memory was their only work. It is possible they are just a team that was made as a Blazblue exclusive animating studio for a temporary time, but... maybe it is because they are practically a new studio that their artwork and style is somewhat bad as it goes around and around from one style to another for some episodes. Also there were some inconsistency in the line works for the art (noticeable even in this episode if you look at Lambda's eyes in some scenes) along with body proportions (episode 7 mostly). I am sure the sacrifice scene of Lambda will be more dramatic and heart crushing to see compared to how it went in the original games (CS, CSII, CSEX), where of course, I will probably cry. Sugita was always one of my most favorite and admired seiyuu since the day he played Kyon from Haruhi XD DVD I have no idea XD;;

This whole show looks like it was animated on two bucks worth of money. The art usually seems worse when you collect all the bad parts in one place. I mean, you have nothing to compare it to. And even if the total length of these moments is, like, a minute or two, it still feels like a lot because of the number of pictures.
SixWingedAngel Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Art for this episode was pretty decent, some peeps should stop doing what can be done in like, every animated series ever, because it gets tiring after a while. On another note, why do they seem to be omiting the lambda torture scenes? Those were like, the best scenes of her story and maybe the strongest sympathysing Λ factor. I guess they can get away with it, but if they omit the Hakumen/Tsubaki scene, well I'm gonna tableflip.

I guess they can get away with it, but if they omit the Hakumen/Tsubaki scene, well I'm gonna tableflip. =_= Lambda torture scene was not the "best" scenes of her story DAMN IT! Those were the most cruel and sad scenes of her story D:< YOU CRUEL PERSON >:T But yes the scene was one of the things that made me and many people sympathize Lambda. Anyhow Hakumen really needs to appear again... =___= He should have been freed by Rachel like a long time ago, yet it still hasn't happened for a long time... wth... And yeah, they really need to do the Hakumen/Tsubaki scene, but.... looking by the previews... I would say it is highly unlikely unless the episode goes like, Hakumen gets freed, wonders around Kagutsuchi, meets Tsubaki, then after Tsubaki meets Jin inside the NOL HQ. I don't know if they can cram it all that in episode 9, but we will have to see.
Volt Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Actually, the Lambda torture scenes were the best scenes in her story because it showed people how painful a prime-field device life is, gave people reason to actually give a damn about her, and showed people that prime-field devices aren't just robots. It also helps that I was a Ragna player the first time I watched Lambda's story, so I liked to hear her scream.

Ok well if you mean it in that kind of way then it is understandable... but... couldn't you come up with a different word than just saying "best"? @_@ And you liked to hear her scream?!! U SADIST!!! D:<

D:< No, "best" is the best word for the situation. And I'm not sadist, I just don't like Lambda. To everyone: Do you guys think that the next episodes will rush the rest of the events in CS too much? Hakumen wasn't even freed yet, and if the next episode is solely focused to Tsubaki's ending then we would have 3 episodes to cover everything else.
