Lucalibur Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I think SD's video proves we're all the Ragna of this anime by this point.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted December 18, 2013 Author Posted December 18, 2013 I think SD's video proves we're all the Ragna of this anime by this point. Annoyed, Angry, and confused? Yup, that sounds about right.
Starlight777 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Annoyed, Angry, and confused? Yup, that sounds about right. And I've been neither of the first two watching this anime lol. terumi.mpeg Yeah this perfectly sums up why I enjoy Terumi so much.
Vulcan422 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 He literally milks an invisible cow to operate Mu-12.
Luminos564 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 The reason people are getting sick of Nu's crap is because every time she shows up, Ragna's situation just gets worse and worse. And the dude already has everything else in the world to deal with. Not even Jin gives him as much crap as Nu does. Yea yea, sympathetic past, I get that. That doesn't really change what she's done mind you. This. I learned this little truth back in high-school. Just because a character has a sympathetic backstory, that does not make the character themselves or their actions sympathetic. And Nu-13, she's definitely not sympathetic. Sure she might have had pretty pissy life (which I also question since she was "born" during CT while it was only Lambda shown that was tortured) but that does not excuse or justify being a gleeful little sociopath, impaling everyone with a pulse. We give Ragna flak for murdering the NOL canon fodder even though his backstory is probably the most sympathetic, so what excuses Nu-13? A pair of tits and an ahoge? terumi.mpeg And there goes my funny bone into overdrive. Dammit SD, you always know how to make me bust a gut XD.
Chaoschao222 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 This thread got way too fucking stupid yesterday, it'd be as fuck if it was locked for the final episode. You guys aren't children.... hopefully, stop acting like ones. You can have childish humor though, that's fine, SD's video was hella chuckle-tier
Goldchampion200 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 You guys aren't children... Sometimes I wonder :3.
beanwich Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 He literally milks an invisible cow to operate Mu-12. What.
Shadon1010 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I cannot recall a more severe instance of tonal whiplash in any work of fiction I've seen as this episodes switch from Lambda's tragic, maudlin death in Ragna's arms at the top of the Altar, to Ragna nonchalantly walking down a corridor and engaging in comic hijinks with Rachel, Gii and Nago about five minutes afterwards. Bravo Alter Memory writers, bravo.
beanwich Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 letting Terumi go after all that. Quite possibly one of the worst decisions Ragna has ever made.
Volt Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Quite possibly one of the worst decisions Ragna has ever made. Is it explained like in the game?
mAc Chaos Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 No. Ragna just goes "I'M NEVER GONNA LET YOU GET AWAY WITH THIS, I'M GONNA FREAKIN KILL YOU" after Nu dies to just walking off silently five minutes later after he wins.
Shadon1010 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 (edited) The irony is, in Continuum Shift Ragna himself said he was letting Terumi live because of the life-link, and that he had more pressing matters (saving Noel) to attend to. In Alter Memory, the life-link has not been mentioned once, and the reason Ragna leaves is because Gii, of all things, tells him to. This is like having Han Solo take orders from an Ewok. I'm all for jettisoning plot points in the name of streamlining a work for the medium in which it is adapted to, but that doesn't mean you should replace it with nonsense. EDIT: What Mac said. Edited December 18, 2013 by Shadon1010 Mac beat me to it.
Shinhwa Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 In my opinion, I would say the Life Link thing will be mentioned next episode. Or who knows, we might see Relius' ending where he kills Terumi.
mAc Chaos Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I never got that. When I played the games the first time I thought Ragna couldn't kill him because the lifelink wouldn't let him, or that it would hurt Noel or something. But then Relius comes along and does it anyway. So why didn't Ragna just do it and get it over with.
Shadon1010 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 If I recall correctly Ragna says "plus that life link will make killing you a bitch" (paraphrased). So he could've done it, but it would've taken too long, and his priority was Noel. Besides, Terumi wasn't going anywhere, and Ragna had no idea Relius would turn up and do it for him (on account of Relius just being an NPC at the time, one possibility of the Continuum Shift indeed).
Zedar90 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Having a Life-link doesn't mean you can't die, only that you won't stay dead. Terumi planed to die for a short moment so that he could infiltrate Takamagahara-system and unleash Phantoms logic virus.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted December 18, 2013 Author Posted December 18, 2013 I never got that. Ragna probably caught onto that and just left him to suffer.
Vulcan422 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 What. Here, have a look at this. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MilkingTheGiantCow Then notice how Mu floats while he's waving his arms around.
