Phathagmas Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Seems like the odds of the BDs getting uploaded is pretty low huh?
beanwich Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I just prefer original Japanese... Same here, I banned the dub from my ears upon hearing too many dubbed atrocities.
TheBossGiga Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 The OST Remixes in the anime are kokonoe tier.
Kuraudo_V6 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 At this point, I'm just in it for the kickass screens and icon material. /SHRUG
Shinhwa Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Same here, I banned the dub from my ears upon hearing too many dubbed atrocities. Yeah... I don't know about some series but when I used to watch dub all the time before watching original japanese anime, I was dissatisfied of how voice actors sucked... The OST Remixes in the anime are kokonoe tier. Yeah I love them lol
Shadow Draygon Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I only care about sub vs dub depending on VA quality. Like I prefer Hellsing in English because Japan can't do accents. And sometimes I prefer dubs because I can listen to it without having to concentrate solely on the screen if I'm doing other things.
Suzaku Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Dubbing has improved by leaps and bounds in the last decade, though. Voice acting has become a much more serious profession, both in games and anime. Some dubs are even distinct improvements over the original Japanese.
TAI-X Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Dubbing has improved by leaps and bounds in the last decade, though. Voice acting has become a much more serious profession, both in games and anime. Some dubs are even distinct improvements over the original Japanese. The main problem is that the English dubbing talent pool is still really small. It feels like an echo chamber compared to what we get from Japanese talent. I'm sick of seeing Monica Rial, Johnny Yong Bosch, Vic Mignogna, and Greg Ayres' names show up like clockwork on practically every anime under the sun that gets dubbed. Anyway, it doesn't affect me because I stopped listening to dubs years ago and have no intention of going back.

Vulcan422 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Um, we DO have a voice actor thread, you know. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?16563-ArcSys-Voice-Acting
Sourenga Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 (edited) I finished watching the 2nd volume of Blu-ray's. This time there were more changes to the original television version. Here's some "Blu-ray VS TV" pictures... Episode 3: - Hazama has a new photo - Makoto's uniform now has sleeves - Unnatural light has been removed from the burning church - ... but it feels more like censoring - Relius is back to normal - There's still something wrong with this Jin... Episode 4: - Jin looks surprised - Tao's food is good stuff - "Tsubaki is not amused" got fixed... - Makoto and a history lesson - Why was this pink in the first place? - Ragna's New Face Episode 1 - Ragna's New Face Episode 2 Edited February 3, 2014 by Sourenga
Verimeloni Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 - There's still something wrong with this Jin... This one's the best, like they fix it but it's still meh xD
mAc Chaos Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 What the hell did they do to that Jin face. It looked perfect the way it was. He looked like he was one second away from snapping someone's neck in outrage.
NeoStrayCat Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 At least animation art quality improved... Yeah, now I wonder what will happen soon in Vol.3 with the "Trollface Quality" when it comes out...
RifleAvenger Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 What the hell did they do to that Jin face. It looked perfect the way it was. He looked like he was one second away from snapping someone's neck in outrage. I agree. The original version had this really wild and unkempt look to it, especially with the hair and the narrowed eyes.

It's nice to see some of the differences between the TV and BluRay versions. Now I'm considering if I should get a BluRay copy myself.
Verimeloni Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 What's you guys' favorite fucked-up thing in Alter Memory (regarding animation)? Mine's definitely http://youtu.be/cXi1H4z9L4w?t=45s
NeoStrayCat Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 (edited) The "Quality" pics and gifs everyone puts up, that, and the majority antics of Hazama/Terumi...more or less. (OT: Speaking of, Vol. 3 is out this week, I would wonder [as I've said before] how the "Quality" of these eps would go better this time.) Edited February 25, 2014 by NeoStrayCat
Zazz Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 What's you guys' favorite fucked-up thing in Alter Memory (regarding animation)? Easy one for me. Arakune vs. STAIRS.
Master Of Chaos Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 ALL OF EPISODE 10 SHIT WAS TOO GODLIKE
Sourenga Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 I finished watching BBAM Vol. 3. As expected, they fixed a lot of stuff from Bang's episode. Here's a new list of changes I noticed: Episode 5: - Damn obstacle... - Zoomed, and this baldhead guy was eliminated from Blu-rays (All the other guys pass by normally...) - Salad Box and the crest on the Trinity's cape disappears - Salad Box returns! - Ragna's New Face Episode 3 Episode 6: - Those who lurk in the dark... - Small fixes on Tsubaki... - Bang and Jin - Kids needed some fixing... - Every character in this scene has been fixed - Bang's idiot face is fixed - Zoom and Jin's face fixed - So much zoom here - Important detail Tsubaki was missing... - They somewhat tried to fix the legendary stabbing scene... - Takamagahara rewinding time... - ...but they went too much back. Bang's idiot face is back. - No shit, it was actually Lambda who Kokonoe held in the tube. Also, as an interesting thing: Next episode preview from episode 6 compared to the actual episode 7.
