The test is certainly not over. It ends Monday night and its Saturday at 4:45 pm now. I just have real life stuff to do so I can't stay all weekend but I did my best to play and learn as much as I could.

Also, ppl asked about jump install. I honestly don't know. I don't really play any of those characters so I don't know any JI combos. My friend Capps is still there and knows all of May's old JI combos so he said he would try it out if he gets a chance and will post about it later.

Well I'm honestly glad they actually made this move useful for once.

Venom super ball, hell no lol. It wares off either by time or use but im not sure, but you can hit it several times. It bounces off walls and the opponent

Thanks for the clarification no one seemed to explained that it wore off over time, I just knew he could hit it all willy nilly around the screen

Chipp health, still lowest in the cast I'd say.

It was worth hoping his health wouldn't be abysmal lol.

Ky's lunge move is more of a combo ender and nets you a hit and a seal. You can OtG it to set a seal up right on the opponent or you can combo into it from non OTG and it knocks down. Not very safe on block but not super unsafe like his slide.

Interesting, this whole "seal" thing and projectile enhancement still eludes me since I can't understand something unless I see it. But it sounds like his neutral game has gotten buffed considerably now.

Oh and grinders, regular stun edge is like an instant vertical lightening bolt. Charge stun edge is like a lightening by that stays out for a little and does many hits. I saw Sol jump over Ky charge stun edge and air dash I. To punish but the stun edge got enhanced by a seal and sol landed on it while he hit Ky and was knocked away. Super one is an even bigger one and looks like a sword and does more hits and damage

So these lightning crosses (named Grinder Formations) Ky places on the screen absorb Ky's projectiles and turn them into Durandal Calls of various levels depending on the projectile you fire into them. And these Durandal Calls summon lightning onto the opponent and the damage that they do depends on the projectile you threw? Is it a lightning bolt like AC 222HS, or [insert projectile name] falls down from the sky?

Ky DP, I'm not sure honestly but I love abusing that with Faust in AC by doing 2k meaty over Ky on wakeup and seeing his DP completely whiff lol

Yea I find it quite obnoxious in the game like being able to kill someone off a DAA.

Also is the loketest over?

On YRC, I'd like to know if I got it right. Basically you can activate it not only if the move whiffs but also during its recovery frames, correct? Because I'm picturing scenarios where Millia could instead do a meaty Tandem Top followed by a YRC right as the recovery frames kick in. That would be really nasty, provided that Millia's Tandem Top has remained more or less the same in terms of properties, startup, active frames etc.

So chipp has a wall crawl now and venom can summon two balls with full meter? thats enough to think about for now I am so excited for this game! I am so jealous that I cant see it in motion.

I am trying to find clips but so far no dice. thanks elven for bringing the news to the people. If you rolled up to me on the street and said "hey, got that guilty gear xrd info" I wouldve paid you!

If there was a color to describe your impressions of xrd. what would it be?

Wonder if they'll make a character reveal after loketests are over? That'd be sweet.

Know how May's special were she touches the hoops work? Can you change the direction the dolphins come out with it or anything?

Basically to put it simply for Ky, performing a ground dust not only hits like a dust up close but it also leaves a seal on hit or even whiff, and air dust leaves a seal too but it also acts like his old air dust to control space. I don't think ground seal hits opponent. The new lunge move also sets a ground seal. Regardless of the type of seal, if you shoot a projectile and it passes through the seal it shoots a lightneng bolt as I described earlier from the actual seal. The bolt is same trajectory as the original projectile, so all ground ones just go straight forward. Get it now? Also seals disappear after about 2 seconds.

I am pretty sure you can YRC on recovery frames for normals. I couldn't test every frame of every move but aside from stuff that was intentionally designed to be unsafe on whiff like DPs, I think you can YRC most moves in the game. As I said, if u can't the game tells u by showing a red "X" over you.

I already described new May hoop move and that's all I know. Capps will post new May stuff later.

If I had to describe Xrd as a color? The color of crystals on a fresh fluffy nug! And Xrd smells skunky with a sweet hoppy aroma!

See that's what I'm thinking too. But I just had a better speculation.Its actually more likely for a trailer to happen than a reveal.I think Arc would wait till near the next test for a character reveal.

Did they mention anything about additional characters being added down the road, because the select screen looks like there's not much room to add?

Dunno. Your right though. Unless they change it. It doesn't look too expansive.(Unless maybe signature characters get bigger slots,while others get smaller ones.But that's a probably a isn't a really a good theory to speculate)

I also would like to say that I'm glad that everyone is greatful for the info and thanked me a ton of times. If you REALLY want to thank me, then build your local scenes, travel for majors, and play GG as much as you can! This game can be huge as long as our community supports it with action! Please come to Frosty Faustings this winter and support the scene! I'd love to face you all in +R!

Actually, I decided that next summer, my wife and I will be moving back to Chicago. By then it will have been 7 years in Japan. I've been luckier than most to have been a part of the Japanese GG scene which has remained strong and active all these years. I think one thing that will be hard to adjust to when I move back to the states is no longer being able to go to the arcade on weekends and play so many dedicated GG players. So... If you really want to thank me, please ensure that I have a GG scene to come back to. Keep playing and traveling for majors. That is my request to all of you.

About char select, this was my biggest concern as well but I made sure to personally express my concerns to one of the guys in charge who I no longer wish to mention since I feel bad about saying stuff a long time ago, and I know nothing else, but they may always change the size or layout of char select screen. I'm sure there will be many more characters to come and there are bound to be updates as time goes on.

In one of the interviews ishiwatari (or was it pachi?) said that they choose 7 characters to offer variety to people, I'm pretty sure they can still change the character screen.

No glorious circle though? I'm saddened.

Since they are returning to Reload style, are vacuum move properties (like Pot's 2S) out?

Uh, you can follow up a dust by running straight, THAT is like an impossible dust, so your question make little sense, i guess :P

I'm just curious and it might still have its uses, who knows...

Also i forgot to ask about health ratings. ES, do characters still take less damage when low on health?
