I love how ZATO SAMA~ plays so far :kitty:

So, did they totally scrap Megalith Head in favor of that other... thing? The one where he summons 3 shadow whales. Annoying as heck, from what I can see.

BTW, is it me or the char select theme is a weird variation of MINCE?

who's eddie :OS:

BTW I am happy to see they didn't completely scrap stuff from Slash and AC. Wall-stuck thing is still there, does Xrd still have Sliding?

Noticed this too. "DUEL _. ALL OR NOTHING!" sounded super cool. Dunno what the other one was.

He says let's rock in round 1 and he says "keep on rocking" in round 2. I posted this before.....

Yeah they probably got that idea from Overture, since the announcer in GG2 said something different for each round the longer matches went on for.

EDIT:

Yes it's in the form of the rolling/tumbling effect you see in the game's first trailer when Ky knocks Sol out of Fafnir with 6p.

Yeah, i remember that but I haven't seen that in those leaked videos :v:

Does anyone know if Bedemon's deja vu shit activates automatically or you have to input something? I noticed certain moves leave the deja vu "seal" on screen, but that's it.

The deja vu version of the special move is performed with 214 while the regular is 236. Like Task A is 236 P and Task A's Deja vu is 214 P.

Wasn't that only for EX Zato vs EX Millia though?

It was their VS theme in X, but in XX-AC only used in their destined battle in storymode as far as I'm aware (if it was even used in AC+'s? Don't think it was).

Similar to how (if I'm remembering right, it's been awhile) the EX Same Character VS theme, also from X, was used for Axl vs Axl in his XX storymode.

it was their EX theme for ACPR too, and yes you are right fatal duel was in Axl's story (never got there because of I-NO..and my failure at using axl, but I do know that to be true though)

Denji vid second round is "Turn up the heat".

EDIT: Third round, when Millia's health falls into the flashing section, Eddie's tension gauge starts glowing (it's only at 75% too). Didn't happen in the other rounds, although he never had as much gauge. Wonder if this is some sort of "Astral Finish"-ish system.

This was discussed a little bit after the last loketest, but supposedly when you go into HellFire mode (< 10-15 % health, seems to vary between characters), stuff happens:

-Damage taken decreases.

-Overdrive damage dealt increases (pretty substantially).

-Opponent's IK startup becomes instant, and allows them to combo into IK.

That last bit was translated from the jp wiki, so while we don't have footage of it, I wouldn't be surprised (and would honestly be kind of hyped) if this is the deal.

I knew about the Hellfire damage stuff, but I couldn't place why that would cause Eddie's gauge (being that he was not in Hellfire) to flash.

I also remember ElvenShadow talking about IK-mode activation "freezing the opponent", but I don't know if that was during Hellfire or not. If that's how it behaves during Hellfire though, that makes sense and would also explain Eddie's gauge.

Honestly, IK's were one of the "big deals" as far as bullet points on the back of the box goes when the original GG came out, but in actuality they're not a huge deal. I could see ArcSys trying to make them slightly more relevant, even if that means the opponent only has 10% or whatever health left.

He just doesn't want HIS particular copy of the video distributed without consent.

....That just sounds like you "gave him a reason" to justify it. It's not HIS it's just a cut. What it really comes down to is nonsense. It's not like he's getting money for it cuz if he is...-_-

Do you know if you can summon the Deja Vu moves while Bedemon is doing something else? You know, like ZATO SAMA summoning Eddie while he was attacking or doing other shit (though I don't think Bedemon has negative edging).

If memory serves, Bedman has an animation for summoning his Deja Vu after image to attack so he can't do it while in the middle of something else. It is a fairly short animation, though, so they do come out quickly.

Deja Vu seals appear automaticaly after his 236X specials (1 for each special, but probably 236P and 236K has 1 seal) and remember only latest performed special for each version.

His Deja Vu phantom is projectile and has no high/low properties. Performing Deja Vu puts Bedman into summoning animation but it can be cancelled with YRC.

"summoning animation"

There, that's what I wanted to know, thank you :kitty:

Also, I'd rather call this dude Bedemon. Sounds kinda cooler and, you know, less ridiculous lol

i was wondering if someone could clarify the changes to the clash system. i was under the impression that there would be several different kinds of reactions based on the buttons used (and super wacky anime mode if two very powerful moves clashed which i know is still in it). is this still the case? i thought i remembered at some point hearing about a change back to a more XX style clash system but i cant verify it so maybe i imagined it.

Circ thought so as well but I don't think anyone has confirmed it yet or not. When info starts coming in from this week's tests we'll probably find out? Should start in what, 5-6 hours?

Player's Guild is up. Looks like the game uses Dan rankings like BBCP and not that bizarre mix of Dan and PSR that P4U2 uses. Weirdly, while they are using Dan rankings, they're calling them "RiskRatings" (yes, in English and lacking a space). It also appears to have both a general ranking and a monthly ranking.

Well GGX2 did have Risk Ratings on the characters when you picked them for their Story Mode, based on reports handed out by the PWAB. Of course, those were letter rankings, with "S" being one of the highest while, I think, Bridget was the sole one assigned a rating of "B".

yeah, did those ratings have a real "reason" in the story or were they just there?
