Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I remember a player from our forums who lived in Japan stating once that what we see in videos is a tiny, tiny fraction of the actual play going on in Japan's arcades, so it's not really prudent to take what you see posted here as representative of the overall level of play. There's a lot we don't get to see, and what we do see is just what happened to get recorded.

I haven't been able to play ranked matches for 2 weeks because I accidently registered my card on a loketest machine so it no longer works with the current version. I was told by staff that it would auto reset after the loketest ended but that didn't happen. I'm hoping that when the upgraded version drops that my card will work again. My win rate is frozen for now. I really hope I don't have to start over.

One of his quotes when he gets stabbed in the butt by Faust's scalpel overdrive is "Only he can touch me there!" You gotta hand it to ArcSys for making a gay black character that isn't a crazy exaggerated stereotype. If he isn't actually gay (at that point we'll say that Dizzy isn't Sol's kid and Faust isn't Dr. Baldhead), at the very least he has hardcore Stockholm Syndrome.
Teyah Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Off topic: why don't I see people faultless dash break in Xrd, something changed about the dash mechanic in the game I'm unaware of? Initial dash velocity has been heavily nerfed across the board. Especially noticeable with Sol, who takes a long time to get up to a decent run speed. In the loketest and early videos you'd see Sol/Ky players try to FD brake their dashes for movement, but they hardly went anywhere before breaking the dash. I guess eventually people just stopped using it as much as before since it doesn't mesh well with the slower dashes.

Thanks. for everyone curious; the official tournament is tomorrow (today in Japan technically) at Leisureland Akibahara. (on the third floor if anyone plans to go.) there's a beginners/intermediate tournament before which is 2on2 before the 1on1. the 1on1 starts at 3pm. there is also a women's tournament, according to the information. (woo!) Also as godsgarden is a sponsor, im not sure if that means they, or LLAKB will handle the streaming. so it'll either be here or on godsgarden.
