Kenshin himura is also a punk-ass bitch, Saito4lyfe

She doesn't really like a chara designed by Ishiwatari, I hope she doesn't enter the cast... Izuna, Paradigm and all GG2 design works was a work of art, I still find new details after all this years... Bring 'em back!

Too "kawaii~" for my taste (even though i play May).

But seriously people, this whole "not metal enough/too BBish" shit is stupid. Tell me what's metal about Jam, May, Bridget, Faust or even Baiken?

Characters tend to grow on you with the time. I remember the first time i saw Slayer and Zappa on ggxx, i thought they were a blasphemy for gg, but now i play them and think they are awesome. Hell i didn't like Bedman at first but after seeing him in action i think the robot itself is really weird and cool (kinda like zappa).

But i also would prefer original valentine over both Ramlethal and this new pinkie girl.

I'm not really concerned about how metal someone is. Both GG and BB female characters are fetish fuel, but they approach it differently. BB's fanservice reminds me of how shonen anime do it, while GG was like older school anime fanservice. It's hard for me to explain, but I know both Ram and pinkie stand out from what I'm used to in Guilty Gear. I doubt it'll ruin my experience, but it just feels like the design was done either by someone else, or that Daisuke decided to change his approach to character designs.

If that's El, I'm pleased. She's got spikes and chains and stuff that's pretty metal, she just happens to be pink. Have you seen how some bands dressed while preforming? Metal/hard rock isn't all black and leather everyone.

EDIT: On Ramlethal's design, she's metal as fuck, she looks like a skimpily dressed sorceress of some sort, you know like the kind on all kinds of album covers.

Any female character in this world could be considered "fetish fuel", because you know... males.

But please, explain me how Ram or new girl design is supposed to be different from older GG characters?

Lets say Dizzy and Slayer (or whoever) never existed in GG and they were just introduced right now as the new characters... in that scenario (alternative world) i'm 100% sure people would be bitching and going crazy and saying things like:

"look at that, they don't even belong in GG"

"what is that, Mu?"

"This is retarded"

"Daisuke lost his touch"

"What the fuck is this" etc etc etc

Some of you guys are just acting like mindless fanboys (no mean to sound offensive). I'm a fanboy myself, but i always try to keep it logical.

-Sorry for my possibly bad english.

I like how she's got spikes all over her outfit. I just wish it wasn't so monochromatic.

If she's as silly as Bridget and May then I'll have a ton of fun beating up the rest of the cast with such an entertaining looking character. Especially if the bouquet is her weapon.

She looks like a new Valentine to me, but we only have one random image to go off of so far.

I dunno, the whole emotionless indecently-dressed girl seems like something out of BB (maybe because they used that trope... 3 or 4 times?). Maybe it's just a gap they saw in GG's cast and wanted to fill it? I can't really tell you how people would react in an alternate world, because we're in this one and I'm just basing my opinion on previous games. I mean, it's just an aesthetic impression. It's like if you were to explain why you shouldn't wear a green tuxedo with blue pants. Nobody will give you a logical explanation, they'll just tell you they don't work together. Like, I pick characters that work for me aesthetically and gameplay-wise (I don't like looking at a character I think looks boring or not my style). I never had a problem with the GG cast, even those characters I barely touched. These two don't look like something that fit the former bill for me. Why? I don't know, you can call me illogical but I just don't.

That said, I'm sure a bunch of people will enjoy them and I'm not the only type of GG player to cater to. The more choices the better, but I just don't think these two fit (although for the latter, we have only one image to go on).

ABA, dizzy, ramlethal

it's fine that you don't like a new character, but guess what? guilty gear is as guilty of following tropes as anything else. they just usually have a heavy metal influence to it (but not always)

Dizzy definitely has emotion. ABA has the emotion of love to the key to her heart (get it? Lol) and ram is a robot. Gg

If we get another character for console it will most likely be Johnny or other returning character(s). Ram is the boss and that will not change.

How long i have been waiting. Arcade ending date - 28 October, we can see 29 and 31 October on story mode screenshots. Final boss, huh?

I don't really see a problem with her design, it seems plenty "Guilty Gear' to me, IMO. Honestly what really makes GG stand out character wise is the wacky flair each character has (that and belt buckles). Hard rock bride fits in very well with the samurai cowboy sky pirate and the haiku spouting vampire n bipolar time traveling rock star witch.

I don't really think Dizzy fits that description. ABA kinda leaves a different impression since she's paired up with another sentient character so you have some dynamic between them. I never said GG didn't follow tropes (I'm pretty sure it's impossible to not contain a trope in a work of fiction), it's just that this particular one didn't feel to me like it fit in with the rest of the game/world.

You know, I've seen people quite interested in the pink girl design. Every character has its fans and has its detractors, that's normal. I think ASW needs to find a balance between new characters and old characters, even though I miss Johnny, the game still has few new characters (for me at least).

I mean they put in a good amount of new characters by launch ( Bed, Ram, Sin, and Maybe El). Thats pretty good for a new game imo. Now to bring other characters with a strong pull in the story would be nice too. Especially for the OGs

The problem I have with the new GG characters isn't just their design it's the way they're presented. One of the things I adore so much about GG is that almost every character is incredibly silly in some way, even the ones that initially look badass. It's a nice quirk. This is not the case with who we have so far, who are dead serious antagonists and are thus, really boring to me. Bedman especially. Zappa was a dude possessed by a handful of ghosts who made him attack in super freaky ways and yet nobody feared him, they just thought he was on drugs or something. That was funny. Seeing some guy die Freddie Krugger style to some OP geek boy is just plain frustrating.

The silly thing about Bedman is that he's freaking BEDman.  If you aren't counting designs, then what was so silly and quirky about Justice?

Ramlathal's evil smile at the beginning of the opening was like "welcome to Guilty Gear" and that made her interesting but.

But when she came out she was just boring and emotionless doll that swing swords and hits like monkey.

And yeah I agree.

First time i saw Bedman i immediately said " MAN! That's sooo Guilty Gear"

Her taunt where she stretches out her hand to make sure you can see the gesture more clearly? I didn't say that EVERY character in GG was silly, just most of them. And Justice herself is actually a decent antagonist even if her motives were fairly cliche. I mean, crotchspike and all, she's much more imposing than any other antagonist we've had since.

Idk man, That Man is pretty scary:0

Jokes aside, ramlethals appearance and somewhat small position as a boss demonstrates the scope of this plot. Ramm is someone to be feared, but what about the senate? What exactly is That Man thinking? We cant figure any of this out because this single girl is threatening the entire world by HERSELF. That in its own right is exceptional praise for me. But we should carry these topics to zeppian tbh (sorry about the giant speech btw)

I'm sorry you feel that way lol

1. I'm not going to pass judgment until we see a full render of her outfit.

2. It's white not pink.

3. We don't even know her full name yet.  It's just a nickname "El" that Sin gave her.

Justice is a female robot with a two-foot codpiece. The only thing sillier is Zone of the Enders.

H.R. Giger is clearly the greatest comedian of our time.

Also, while it's a bit late to mention this now, but I do rather like this new character and I sincerely hope that her story is as absurd as Jocelot's joke idea. Okay maybe not, but I can definitely see her being a better character than at least Dizzy.
