Soviet Bear Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I just realized something. Robo-Ky was looking for a wife in AC. Elphelt is looking for a husband in Xrd. Could we possibly see a wedding-styled VS theme for them if they ever add Robo? Because that would be amazing.
the_d3v Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Would you guys rather see Xrd go the way of SSF4, with periodic "expansions" that come with 1 or 2 new characters and new stages/music (in a more timely manner), or instead go the traditional Xrd > Xrd#Reload > Xrd/Slash. Something tells me the former would help "cement" Xrd in the FGC, as people would know it as GG: Xrd or just Xrd and not some "subtitle of the month" that divides up the player base (if this was even a problem). Personally, I'm on the fence, but in the end I just want ArcSys to do whatever allows them to pump out new characters as fast a possible. Large (and DIVERSE) fighting game rosters make me a particularly special kind of happy If you think about it, what Capcom did with SSFIV is pretty similar to the 'traditional' route. The big difference here is that they made it so that the older discs can simply be updated via DLC to the newer version without having to buy a new disc. The question now is if Xrd -SIGN- gas the necessary hooks for it to be updated this way (DLC characters seem to indicate yes). I'll be at TGS this weekend to try out all kinds of stuff. Trailer is ultra hype. I love the new song. Both characters seem cool. I really like Elphelt's play style. It seems her grenade blast can hit her as well just like Faust bombs (you notice it after Sin whiffs RTL in the 1st dengeki vid). That win animation where she gets over excited about wedding talk and has that nosebleed had me rolling! Also, when I first saw Leo he almost looked like he was in the Holy Order but then everyone on this thread said he looks similar to Slayer... I don't know what to think but he does look pretty bad ass. Also, there's gonna be a tournament on Sunday at TGS with a 64 player cap. I'm gonna do my best to enter. Mike, you are our only hope. Please hit the Kanchou super on her and have someone record it.

The Sony page says nothing about the console. Although that completely falls apart if Justice was never in the backyard. Where did the Holy Order even seal her? In a prison called Lexicon, if my memory serves me right. Doesn't sound like Backyard to me.

You always want to flaunt off the lead console and give off the best presentation, but damn would it be nice to see how the PS3 versions will fare. I mean [i have no choice but to] trust ARC but it would be nice to get some reassurance. Maybe they'll bother with a public demo closer to release on both platforms Q.Q

It works about the same on PS4 as it does PS3, not that hard. October 15th, can't wait!

Both the demo and the Japanese limited edition are only on PS4. You'd think we'd have seen a single comparison shot by now. I plan to get a PS4 eventually once the system's library fills out, but it probably won't be for a few years, and I'm not too keen on paying for a second online multi subscription on top of XBL Gold.

After seeing this vids it seems that controlling the snipe doesn't look to be to hard. It'll def take some serious practice tho ^ ^ As for the whole ps3 thing. If I remember right they did say that PS3 will run at 720 60fps and the PS4 will run it at 1080 60fps. How well they will run agaisnt each other in an online match? Well thats a wait and see deal right there. I would say and I hope no one takes it the wrong way but PS3 is now old tech so it makes sense that companies are putting the PS4 in the front. Honestly with such a great looking game I'd only play this one on the PS4. I will say I don't own one yet but I plan on picking one up this holiday season.

SolxBaiken Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Well typically PS+ demos are time restricted rather than content restrictive, often offering you the full title and giving you 2 hours to do as much as possible before "resetting". By the time of release Xrd will only be less than 2 months away, so it's possible to offer a sizeable chunk of the game or just 2hrs of Arcade/Versus play [honestly, allowing Sin and Elphelt on such a restriction could generate more interest]. Of course, that's a typical PS+ demo and we have zero idea how ARC will handle it.
