TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 You can definitely use a flash drive. That's how I've uploaded all my vids. PS4 -> USB -> laptop -> YouTube.
Killey Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Doesn't the PS4 have a feature where you can directly upload your save videos to youtube? I haven't played around with the sharing features that much.
Koozebanian Fazoob Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Anyone with the demo should be able to test 1-frame jumping pretty easily since video recording is built into the PS4. Double tap the "share button" to start recording, attempt some 1-frame jumps, then tap share again to stop recording. Save it and watch it frame by frame (there might be a function in PS4 to do this, but if not, move it to your PC). If you leave the ground a frame early, you're good. The mechanic might have been removed, or they might have just made it so the dust cloud always happens. Also, anyone with the demo should be able to double check against Sol's available frame data this way. Can't get all of it without actual training mode (to set blocking, etc), but it's a start if anyone wants to.Another obvious way you could tell in X2 series was that you could only jump neutral with an FD Jump. So if your input is 47+FD, you will still get a neutral jump. Chances are if you also can't jump neutral doing this in Xrd, then FD Jump isn't in the game anymore.
TheRealBobMan Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I'd rather get confirmation via frame-by-frame footage (which youtube wouldn't do well since it doesn't support 60fps). There's the possibility that 1-frame jump is still there, but works differently. If anyone does this, please make sure to get some regular jumps in the video to compare the startup.
HeWhoRocksAlot Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I asked this before and got no answers yet, but I'm curious if button macros glitch works on Xrd demo or if there no way to test that yet. I'm not sure if being in Arcade and Tutorial mode is an issue. I'm want to find out before the demo expires.
madigawadesperate Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 do you guys think i-no will have her boss voice in english?
Layer Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Not really Guilty Gear related, but Lab Zero just announced they are finishing up on a driver to run PS3 Sticks on the PS4. Also, being kewl guys, they said they are offering the driver for free to any developers who would like to use in their games. May be a little too late for Xrd, but who knows. do you guys think i-no will have her boss voice in english? I'm pretty sure all her voices will be in English if you choose English in the options.

TAI-X Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 May be a little too late for Xrd, but who knows. Likely not happening with any ArcSys game for reasons I explained here.
TheRealBobMan Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 PS4 can only capture at 30FPS? Ok, never mind then.
Teyah Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 In the vein of my other lag tests, I did a quick one for Xrd using the Dual Shock 4 pad, PS4 and my HD CRT. This is the same speed as arcade +R as well as the PS2 and XBox 360 ports of GGXXAC, and 1 frame slower than the PS3 port of AC (which ended up being 1 frame too fast when it converted to +R). From what king of heart says, this is accurate to arcade Xrd though. I also tested with a stick using a PS360+ w/1.4 firmware, and found that the PS360+ was just slightly slower than the DS4 pad by maybe 1/3 of a frame or so, as it would occasionally show 5 frames of delay to the Dual Shock's 4.
Uncivilized Elk Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 So I realized I never actually asked this: how is the execution barrier for YRCs? Is it super duper easy? Is it dependent on the move you're doing? Are there some things where YRCing is comparable to FRCing in terms of timing difficulty? Or just other general thoughts on it now that a lot of you have the demo?

Xrd is totally awesome.

king of heart Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 How strict is it compared to his +R FRCs? Definitely tighter than Johnny's lv3 mist finer FRC lol.
kosmos badgirl Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 http://ggxrd.com/cs/special.html Daisuke putting in extra hours for this, a lot of drawings from him.

Mumm-Ra Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 shieeeeet I want that Elphet and Ram poster, fucking famitsu dx pack man
Uncivilized Elk Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 El's design aside (as many people get butthurt over that topic), to somebody who isn't familiar with GG and is thinking of buying an animu fighter at random or just happens to be browsing the games at the store, the censored version is less embarrassing and less Japan-stereotype inducing. Whether it was done just for that or whether there's actual guidelines as to what can be on the cover I have no idea. And holy crap they are reaaaally shoving the BlazBlue down those Ram posters. If I could pick one I'd go for the Sin/Ky one, composition by itself I find by far the best on that one.
king of heart Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 http://ggxrd.com/cs/special.html Daisuke putting in extra hours for this, a lot of drawings from him. OK now i regret pre-ordering from Gamers!
MasterXDrake Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 I prefer the censorship. The box art is overall meh imo anyway.
Uncivilized Elk Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 So I recently ended up browsing through some youtube comments (always a bad idea) and now I'm the one feeling super butthurt, because there are tons of BB fans who are talking about El and Ram in terms of waifus (non-ironically) and all that cringe-inducing crap, and it just makes me feel more that El and Ram were designed for the primary reason of drawing some of the BB fans to buy GG. Because if not, damn are they well recieved by that demographic and that's pretty much all they talk about in reference to BB (there was some stuff about Noel and jD upskirts that I did not care to understand).
