Poultrygeist Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 ElvenShadow has said like a million times now that it looks exactly like the PS4 version.
Henaki Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 i really doubt they look exactly the same, but imagine they look pretty close talking entirely about resolution here
RurouniLoneWolf Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 NETWORK MODE: (I don't remember if ArcSys already revealed these on their Tweets or not...) - In PS4 version, you can exclude PS3 players from your Ranked Match search - In PS4 version, creator of a Player Match room can disable the use of Share function from everyone in the room. Excellent. I have no desire to play with you filthy PS3 peasants. Jokes aside, I'm curious why they even bothered to implement this and why just for ranked. I guess theoretically speaking, the PS4 networking hardware is more advanced so limiting your ranked search to PS4 players could theoretically end up with you getting matches with better connections, which would improve the legitness of the ranked matches. *shrugs* Guess we'll see. Also, it's nice that they give room makers the option to turn off the share functionality. I have no intention of ever using it or agree with why people want it but the thought is still nice. $200,000 WS doesn't sound too bad for me. I'll probably be able to buy him before the first week is done just by netplaying with May and Elphelt. But then again, I plan to netplay a lot the first week. Maybe less if my PS4 stick hasn't arrived yet ><
nyyyyy Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 ElvenShadow has said like a million times now that it looks exactly like the PS4 version. I dont know how often I have to repeat it: he was told that it's the PS3 version, he didn't see it or put the disc into the console himself. If I tell you that your Golf runs a formula one engine, will you believe me? The reason why you should assume that it runs at 60fps is because ASW would lose a shit ton of customers if it didn't. I posted this before Console devs saying that the game is currently running on a console when they show it to the public aren't to be trusted. However, common sense dictates that ASW will have done their homework.
Fame96 Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 This is the next level of DLC milking yo. First they made CS1 have the worst announcer in the world so you'd buy a DLC one, now this. The next game is gonna have character color palettes that look like those 420 no scope MLG videos on Youtube and then charge 8 dollars a pack for colors that won't turn your retinas into goop. CS1 was tolerable in my opinion. It was CS2 and extend where i started questioning where they were getting these announcers from.

king of heart Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I remember that people said that there were some streams for the ps3 version on nico nico . Still praying for a midnight release from Gamers.
nyyyyy Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Thats why I said that common sense dictates that the game will be fine. ASW will not want to lose a truckload of potential customers over lying or delivering a shitty product. The PS4 isnt an exception. It simply is retarded to assume that a game runs the way it should because the developer says so, especially if you base your statement off of a location test where they tell you ye ye thats the ps3 my friend. Commong sense and basic economical understanding should tell you that the game will run fine, not some shilling marketer at an event.

jabhadouken Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Why on earth WOULDN'T Arcsys make 100% certain that the game runs 100% on the PS3? The PS4 mindshare is nigh non-existent in Japan. Or is that hearsay, and the number is not in fact extremely low, comparatively?

Yukikaze Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 30 - 40 missions is nice, hopefully they are match viable. Now just to wait for JP PS3 reviews. Also the difference in the download size everyone keeps talking about is probably from encapsulation.
Rhiya Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 @people worrying about unlocks: Has anyone confirmed yet that you can't just set a button to turbo and run the game through arcade on a low difficulty over and over like you could for UNI?
king of heart Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I never knew that the first Guilty Gear game was spoused to have 3D graphic. I guess Ishiwatari wasn't satisfied with that level of visuals back thenhttp://www.unseen64.net/tag/arc-system-works/
4r5 Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 after watching newbs mash their way through arcade mode all week, you can do 30 runs pretty fast

Sourenga Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Guide of Network mode(From 4gamers niconico channel)http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/1417540860 Everyone should watch this... It's mostly about Online and PS4 features, but near the end of the video (around 24:25) there's a frame by frame comparison of PS3 version on Speed and Visuals modes... It also shows the final Character Select screen, where Lock-icon for Leo replaces the Random-button that has been relocated between Sol and Ky...
TAI-X Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I never knew that the first Guilty Gear game was spoused to have 3D graphic. It was actually going to have pre-rendered 3D converted to sprites, a la Donkey Kong Country. Thankfully, they didn't do this, or I seriously doubt it would have seen any sequels. Also, the PS4 install base in Japan is indeed very marginal right now, though not as much as the Xbox One's. Sony is probably giving ArcSys kickbacks for supporting it and making the limited edition PS4-exclusive there.

Can anyone post some screens from that comparison? Watching a half hour long video via mobile bandwich would make me bankrupt...

Rhiya Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 All knowing frame delay is gonna do is make you stop playing online quicker. It looks like variable frame delay, so that plus actually knowing the delay means good players will probably drop netplay before the end of the first week, since they can see just how salty to be at netplay.
