I know, but I have no idea why him holding a book means he's looking for something.

Leo Whitefang seems to be the new kid on the block (DLC)!

What I've learned so far is that he seems to have a connection to Illyria (probably one of the Kings) and more specifically to Ky (maybe even Ky's past with the Sacred Order)...

I've seen the new boxart which depicts him as walking around reading a book or journal of some kind... so he may be "looking" for something.

Leo is eventually revealed to be the guy everyone seemed to ignore back then. The king was someone whom everyone met but forgotten. He used to look physically smaller. He was known for fighting with yoyos. He's come a long way.

Lol, but seriously, he can't grow that fast.

I just saw the new video where they show a little bit of the story.

Apparently Sol get's saved by Elphelt when Ramenthal tries to blow him up during his arcade.

Didn't see that one coming.

The real surprise is the fact that Ky has been harboring Elphelt for quite some time before Ramlethal's emergence.

also, I know budgets and reusing assets is a common practice in Japanese productions, but I find it hilarious that they just use her startup sequence from her fight intro lol

What exactly is that machine get up she's hooked up to? Is she like part machine? Does she need it to survive I wonder.

I doubt it, it's most likely a fancy bed chamber, I'm thinking that these pods are how the "Valentines" crossover into our dimension. Ky couldn't have her roaming around free, so she probably just spends much of her time in "stasis" until called upon like in the clip.

I wonder why Ram is doing what shes doing.

Because she's evil I mean, because whoever commands her is evil.

Ramlethal is just a drone like servant following orders.

Here's a summary.

> Babylon activated.

> Panic and Mayhem at Leo's divison.

> Ky calls Leo to discuss deploying El to stop Ram.

> Leo says no.

> Ky goes ahead anyway and gets called "Bambino".

> El rushes to Babylon and stops Ram just before she blows Sol up.

> Sol pins Ram down demanding her to stop the Babylon.

> Ram says there's nothing she can do once Babylon is activated.

I can try to translate whatever is said, there's some interesting stuff mentioned by El and Ram.

I wonder why Ram is doing what shes doing.

Theory:

Ramlethal is just a pawn on her shogi board. She came from the Backyard because of Mother. Mother sensed something strange on the other side, an anomaly that bothers her. Maybe it had the potential to become dangerous, to somehow affect the Backyard where she lives, or maybe it just makes her angry and she wants it destroyed. She could have ordered Ram to go and eliminate people or maybe it was Ram's choice to just declare war on humankind (because she likes to destroy/have a purpose). Maybe Ram wanted to impress her Mother.

The Backyard shouldn't be able to be affected by the other world, but what if Mother felt a presence/power that shouldn't be there? Ramlethal eventually fights Sol Badguy in Japan and threatens to kill him. Elphelt who also knows about Mother, stops Ram. Sol Badguy has been feeling something weird for a long time now. His powers keep fluctuating, sometimes he's growing stronger, sometimes he feels weaker. Gears have always been involved in magic. The Backyard affects their reality, and their world itself sometimes phases in and out of existence. The magic involved with Gears might have something to do with this, maybe they even amplify this effect. Many of the world's leaders are concerned about this. What if the world just suddenly gets erased? Sol Badguy also wants to investigate this.

So Sol traveled the world for answers, learning more about the Backyard, magic and the Valentines. He eventually concludes that he must confront this "Mother". So he figures out a way to get to the Backyard (he asks a more mellow Ramlethal to teleport him there). He feels an immense pressure as soon as he enters that world, like he's being crushed. He was suddenly flung back to his real world, away from the Backyard. No one knows who could have done that. Sol didn't prepare a means of escape, he didn't even know if he could turn back. But now he has a chance to prepare himself. He knows the other world is brutal, and simply existing in it can mean death. But he is a Gear, and he is motivated to stop what is happening to his world. The source of their reality is the Backyard, and Mother is in there. He has no choice but to get back in there and try and stop reality from being destroyed.

Sol Badguy is in his secret laboratory creating new weapons, testing out his magic, trying to make devices that will help him. Suddenly Sin barges in with another man. Apparently Sin is reckless as usual and getting into fights with strangers. Sin lead Faust all the way to Sol's secret hideout. "Yare Yare daze" Sol points his newly crafted weapon at Faust. He tells them to fight somewhere else and stop bothering him. Faust stops attacking Sin and asks Sol what he's doing. Sol tells him that it's none of his business. Sin takes this opportunity to try and Napalm Death a distracted Faust. Suddenly Faust was under the floor, then coming from the ceiling. He was all over the place, materializing things out of nowhere, attacking Sin from multiple directions. Sol notices this and becomes interested in Faust's powers. He got up and did a 5K 5S 2D into a Volcanic Viper. He FRCd his gunflame and Bandit Revolver'd Faust so hard that a big part of his laboratory just exploded. After a long fight he stopped and asked Faust about the problem the world is facing. Things are popping in and out of existence, gravity is changing in random places, weather and temperature makes no sense, sometimes snowing out of nowhere while it's hot. It's like reality is malfunctioning.

Sol asks Faust about his teleportation/space-time powers. They get into a discussion about the Backyard and Mother. Faust, wanting to help the people of the world decides to help Sol get to Mother. He suggests that they find more people to help them in their cause. Sol prefers to be alone, but he got used to company with Sin around. They test out Sol's inventions, which are meant to influence time and space using magic and technology, distort reality in some way. Hilarious and wacky situations occur (that should be used in gag scenes, if there are any in story mode)

Sin is transformed at one point into a more mature Gear state and he killed half the population in some nearby village before Sol knocked him out. Sol and Faust learn more about teleporation and space-time manipulation.

During a later training session, Sin managed to hit Sol in the face but his weapon was destroyed in a strange way. Sol didn't dodge and it's not like his weapon phased out of reality for that split second. It's like Sol influenced the existence of that weapon and used that part of reality to destroy it somehow. With all the weird things happening in the world, they're not surprised by this. What if Sol also has the "something" that manipulates time and space? Sol and Faust try even harder to create devices that can help them survive in the Backyard. They eventually came up with something that 'reduces pressure'. The devices will allow Sol to move around freely in the Backyard without being crushed by manipulating the existence around it with magic. Those devices are tiny machines that Sol strapped all over his body with even more belts. Sol also came up with gear that makes him incredibly fast, to the point that he can run faster than the speed of light (the gear amplifies magic and the "something" around him, bending reality itself to make his speed illogical). Faust helped him make an armor-like object called Aria, a little device placed somewhere on his headband that protects him from danger. It also uses magic and that "something" to defy logic and reality, defending against powerful attacks by influencing time and space. They worked on these to ensure that Sol can defend himself against Mother's children.

As they traveled and fought, picking up information along the way, they met Millia Rage. In typical GG way, their conversation ended up in a fight. Millia didn't stand a chance. She got friggin Wild Throw'd into a Black Onslaught of fire slashes. Faust took her back to the hideout and healed her. When Millia woke up, Faust told her about their situation, how they're all in danger and how hard they're trying to infiltrate the Backyard. Millia didn't believe him at first, until Sol showed her his new inventions. Machines that can bend reality in some ways. Of course, they weren't perfect, their powers sometimes "stuttered" and stopped working at all. He decides to leave the gear in the lab until he can improve them. Millia did remember the weird things that she witnessed, and being afraid of what might happen to everyone. She decides to help.

Sol needed a lot of things for his laboratory, things that they don't just sell anywhere. They needed to borrow things from certain facilities. Him and Faust were busy so Millia had to go and steal components from many different places. A lot of those facilities are off-limits and she got in a lot of trouble. She came face to face with a king, Leo Whitefang. After a stalemate fight, Millia convinces Leo that she needs the components for a greater cause. Leo can tell she is honest, and trusts in her. Millia gathers all the components and Sol gets to work upgrading his gear. They spent a few more months upgrading and training. Sol, Sin, Millia and Faust became great allies. The world was going through even more chaos, random space-time distortions and natural disasters increased. They decided they couldn't wait any longer and it was time for Sol to go meet Mother.

Sol told Millia that there is possibility for failure, and asks her to take care of Sin if he doesn't come back. Millia doesn't hesitate and promises to care for Sin and his lab. For a second, Sol seems to think about a certain girl when he sees Millia's smile. He mutters "Yare yare daze" with a grin. He puts on his new gear, which was designed to look exactly like his old gear. He knows he is strong enough to survive the pressure of the Backyard, now all he needs to do is confront Mother before the world gets rekt. Before he leaves, he grabs Millia and Faust and brings them closer to him, in a big tight hug. He is reminded of old times with "them two".

When he got to the Backyard, he realized he was in the same place as before. But looking through the fog, he sees two gigantic creatures. They look part animal and part machine. They act as "monitors" and destroy things that aren't supposed to be there. During Sol's first visit someone flung him out of that world, but he knew it couldn't be those two. Maybe it was Mother or one of her children. Sol unleashes space-time distorting gunflames and dashes around the place at lightspeed. He could still somewhat feel the Backyard's 'pressure' but they feel more like a tickle to him now. After killing anything in his way, he managed to find a colossal tower that seems to pierce the heavens. Lightspeed really made exploring easy for him. Getting somewhere is almost like teleportation rather than running because of how fast he is. He quickly reaches the top of the tower, and enters the only room there. It was a dirty mechanical room. With wires all over and an unknown fluid on the floor. There was only one person in that room, who is surrounded by monitors. Sol knew that face. He now knows who Mother is.

I-No and Sol are the most connected to Ram-chan, she has killed her several times in order to change the incoming future without any result, but it seems that now thanks to That Man (with I-No's power to travel through time), either for the greater good or to make things worse, the chance to "shoot fireworks" is finally near.

Regarding Sol as well as That Man of course, is the connection between the whole Valentine, "Mother" and Aria, but trying to go more far of it is just speculation until more information is revealed, but we do know this since both Valentine as well as Sol have a headache when both entities clash with each other, and this is again confirmed in the victory quote of Sol when he defeats Ram-chan.

Also, now we see Sol using the same symbol that has Elphelt and the Cradle when it was activated, furthermore we have the information provided by ASW saying as follows...

Once again, the power that Sol’s Gear contains is enough to shake up the world as we know it. Will he be a savior this time or…?

And I-No asking him if his body was affected by that and if he's able to see a giant that appears in her timeline, I assume that giant could be Sol itself going berserker after those years for unknown reasons, but then again, we'll have to wait for the console release to have some more "links".
