SoWL Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 On the topic of Dizzy's battle attire, since she's decked out in her Vastedge dress in Xrd, well, you can forget any thoughts of her outfit being more conservative. ...But that outfit IS more conservative.
Zazz Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Given the manner of its actions in the past and what Bedman and Ariels are trying to achieve, I'm not 100% confident that Ariels and UW are one in the same. I think its a Saya/Izanami situation (in BB). Original Aria is pretty much a medium for the Universal Will to act through and make copies of. I think Ariels is a Valentine acting out her own perception of the Will's goals.
Destin Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Uhh yeah I'm going to roll my eyes at the whole feminist debate. Dizzy's outfit feels lazy, juvenile, and grossly out of character. We have seen two sprites over the year that I preferred (pirate and gown), and I hope in the future through dlc or otherwise I am able to play a version of character that doesn't look stupid.
deadite Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I find it funny that it's only now that people are complaining about Dizzy's outfit. I never heard any complaints in the past decade.
D.R.F. Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Cuz it's in style to complain on the internet. I mean, what else do you want lol
Tsuki Garyuu Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I wanna see Ram be like a Valentine version of Sol in the sequel. Like how Sol is a prototype gear but is still able to take out pretty much any other member of his species (like freaking Justice). I can see it now: Ram is fighting through an army of Valentines to get to El, and they're like, "You are just a tool who has outlived it's usefulness." And Ram's like, "No. I am unique" And then fires the gamma r-- calvados. I'm thinking more of Ram being a "reminder" of Sol. I'm pretty sure at some point, Ram will be deemed completely disposable to Ariels that she may personally end up disowning her as her "mother" and seek vengeance for it as well as Ariels forcing El against her will, thus Ram will experience anger for the first time. Hell, she might as well unlock her "Install" mode since El has one.
Poultrygeist Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 ...But that outfit IS more conservative. This is absolutely true. It swaps her silly ass thong out for shorts and covers her upper body up a bit more, all while still being recognizable. IMO it's the way to go for her.
burningvigor Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 I find it funny that it's only now that people are complaining about Dizzy's outfit. I never heard any complaints in the past decade. I think people just like to complain more than before about anything. Imagine the shitstorm that would happen if Slayer had his bite loop again lol.
D.R.F. Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 At least they wouldn't complain about him being shit lol
FinalDoomGuy Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 I find it funny that it's only now that people are complaining about Dizzy's outfit. I never heard any complaints in the past decade. Now? People have had discussions about dizzy's outfit being dumb for a while now. This isn't exactly new.
Shadow Draygon Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 The appearance of sexy women and men in fighting games has led me down a dark path in which I have a strong desire to dragon punch [iNSERT CONTROVERSIAL MINORITY HERE] all the time.
Destin Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 You know, I thought about it. I don't think a single person on here complained about millia's outfit, I-no outfit (or ripping off her shirt), Jam's outfit, as they were all fitting of their character design/personality. Dizzy's just seemed really off, and somewhat embarrassing
This Man Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Potemkin's involvement in the story was pathetic.
YoYoCheese Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 My theory was always that Dizzy dresses the way she does in-universe because Testament picked out her clothes for her. Where else would she have gotten them?
Clousephinat Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 My theory was always that Dizzy dresses the way she does in-universe because Testament picked out her clothes for her. Where else would she have gotten them? From its parents before she was exiled? I don't think according to canon of course that Testament has left the Demon's Forest at any point, or you know... Since it seems that Gears can change clothes at their will, maybe that awful outfit is to her liking
YoYoCheese Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Didn't her original foster parents abandon her the second the started aging abnormally fast?
D.R.F. Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Potemkin's involvement in the story was pathetic. This. Give our burly soldier more credit and SCREEN TIME PLEASE Arcsys-.-
TheGreatLeon19 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Potemkin's involvement in the story was pathetic. maybe my memory's messed up, but didn't he only show up in his Arcade mode? and then Gabriel mentioned him offhand once or twice? He should've been helping Gabriel fight Bedman, that would've been awesome and if they're trying to make Bedman seem so godly by making him able to hold his own against Gabriel, wouldn't making him able to hold his own against both Gabriel and Pot at once make him seem even more godly?
Solhunter Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 No, Potemkin was later seen briefly in Story Mode, interrogating Bedman with little results. Though, give Potemkin some credit. If he hadn't submitted the report regarding Bedman's teleportation ability to Gabriel(which Gabriel mentions while fighting Bedman), Gabriel may have ended up like the Assassins who were completely unprepared due to their lack of prior knowledge of Bedman's powers.
TheGreatLeon19 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 I didn't say Bedman beat him, I said Bedman could hold his own against him. Gabriel's arguably the most powerful character in the series, at or above the level of Slayer and Sol at their full potential. for Bedman to even have stood a chance is a testament to his insane power.
redsilversnake Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 He fought once. Don't use one fight as a basis for how strong he is.
SoWL Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 He fought once. Don't use one fight as a basis for how strong he is. Well That Man didn't do even that, and he's still considered one of the most powerful beings in the world.
TheGreatLeon19 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 He fought once. Don't use one fight as a basis for how strong he is. I'm just going by what I read on wikis, to be honest. Apparently Slayer has said that he considers Gabriel his equal and rival, ro something.
kylehyde Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I'm not to familiar with what happened between AC+ and Xrd but does Dizzy know that Sin has been traveling around with Sol? Or did that happen after she became crystallized.
