Re-watched the video a couple of times and I THINK Koromaru has no normals whatsoever. Just special moves and supers. On top of that, it doesn't look like you can move him around either.

If these are indeed true, his gameplay might be way more simple than I imagined. Which is good, in my opnion.

i pains me to say this honestly but i think Ur right.

i really wanted a complicated character to learn. but who really knows. maybe to command the dog its one of the persona buttons. i haven't seen much of ken/dogs persona out there besides supers and such.

I wouldn't mind Ken being on the simple side, since we already have a puppet character in Shadow Labrys.

I would prefer him being on the simple side too, however I have 1 thing I'm unsure of: If Koromaru can only do Special moves and Supers and that the dog bar is his Hp, how does he block? When you're blocking? Or could he be only vulnerable during attacks?

maybe after he does a lung or something. i saw him do some kind of spinning move that if blocked he could get hit or something. this is just speculation thou

Concerning http://p-ch.jp/news/detail/?nid=110 < The Box-Art they've been teasing...

Someone posted http://37.media.tumblr.com/1581d40e0df3c23ced68084477742011/tumblr_n4hvhcVKak1qb9hh5o1_1280.png In reply.

I'm wondering... Akihiko, Aigis, Fuuka, AND Mitsuru (basically the whole P3 cast minus Ken and Liz) are all being crucified... What's up with that?

They were kidnapped by Sho. You'll probably find more info in the story thread.

The problem with this is: Why wasn't Labrys kidnapped?

She was in maintenance and wasn't with them when it happened. She just came out of maintenance when Kurosawa came in to inform her about their kidnapping.

Also, this thread is not for story discussion.

Koromaru seems to mostly attack by spinnin around. Spin2Win confirmed for P4AU! They look fun, just hope Ken has grown up enough

Golden Arena looks pretty entertaining, from what I can tell. Hope the AI isn't so dumb this time.

Hmm, I like Tekkaman's theory that the meter is Koromaru's health, seems plausible enough.

I'm kind of thinking that while A and B are Ken's normals and specials, maybe Koro has his own button. Kala Nemi tied to C attack/specials and Koro with D is what I'm guessing.

Also, loved Flux's imperfect sub of Ken Amada's trailer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1dqsHzCreU

(actual translations are in the comments section)

bobrossfreak's version of the trailer is more accurate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0inw1WBwqWk

Possibly. Or since we know Ken is a big Akihiko worshiper (at least, he was) they could easily make Koromaru's movements as follow-ups like Akihiko's hook and so on. It's one way to make him both simple and incorporate the 2-in-1 character feel for him.

I still like this "translation" better. "Don't be fooled by his looks! He's still an asshole!" cracked me up quite a bit. The fact someone actually took the time to go and let everyone know in the comments about how this is "not a proper translation" whenever they thought otherwise was amusing. I guess Ken's got himself a secret service protection fanbase somewhere.

Hey guys I have a question, I'm making the transition from pad to stick. Does P4U2 have still only that horrid layout in the arcade cabinets?

AC

BD

I want to play the stick with one of default types of the different games. I'm playing Blazblue's type A right now, it is quite comfortable, but I'm gonna change to type B since that layout plays in almost every other game (GGXrd, BBCP, UNIEL, AH3, SF) except in the first P4U......So that's why I'm asking.....

Yep, still the same layout. You'll get used to it eventually, I guess.

I'd recommend using the original layout for each game though.

Oh well,......from the execution view is not much of a problem, but the reversed position of A and B respect Blaz's type A is driving me nuts in the neutral game.....this is gonna take a while I suppose. But more importantly is the position of the hand, it feels so unnatural............I guess I'll have to practice a lot more in this game. Thank you xP.

Honestly, when making transitions to stick (I'm still stuck at that point), just use whatever you find more comfortable. I personally set up my buttons in a:

[A][C] layout for BB and [A][C][D] layout for P4A.

[D]

Honestly, you should never force yourself to practice something in a way you don't like. Pick what works for you.

You can use similar hand positioning in BB/P4U considering that BB's ABC is in the same position as P4U's BAC. The only difference is that your thumb is tapping A in BB, and B in P4U. I suppose if you play both games enough, it's not really a problem though. The position of D in P4U kinda reminds me of the position of GG's D button, too.

I use ACD because it makes Yosuke's gliding a lot more comfortable.

Huh. At about 0:43 in the Ken trailer, I noticed that the All-Out Rush didn't combo from the AoA thanks to Koro's spinning attack. I wonder if it's blockable in that circumstance.

Upon further inspection, I think the last active frames of the spin may have pushed Aigis too far or Ken may have done it too late, but yea that Aigis was back in neutral.

Ken IS Akihiko now. You see all dem girls cheering for him in the trailer?

Hmm, I'm wondering if Koromaru will have overheads/lows.

Wrong. He is clearly paying attention to them unlike Akihiko who had the ability to ignore any and all bootylicious babes (minus FemP3MC but she's not canon so she doesn't count). Ergo, Ken is not Akihiko.

Too early to tell. We don't even know if Koromaru is limited to specials and supers or if he will have normals. Heck, we're not even sure how his gauge even functions. We might as well wait.

Even at the farthest ranges possible, you can still combo an AoA into AoR. If anything, Ken might have been too early; I think it's because the Korospin hits a few times immediately after the AoA connects.

Golden Arena is looking really nice, I'm sure I'll spend a lot of time with it.

Also, here's the difficulty levels:

  • Normal (50 floors, LV1+)
  • Hard (100 floors, LV15+)
  • Risky (200 floors, LV35+)
  • Ultimate (Infinite floors, LV60+)
