suna19 Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 That last line makes it sound like 2D combos still work off a fatal starter. haven't been able to post anything lately. the last line actually says that the final B droit will NOT combo. but you're right, it keeps the 2D combos
Lord Knight Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 actually, we'll have no idea what will actually work into we see a completed version of the game :/
LegendaryRath Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 actually, we'll have no idea what will actually work into we see a completed version of the game :/ So there's no reason for us to get worked up over ANYTHING yet. We just enjoy theory fighting too much.
Jyosua Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 As I said earlier with the new auto combo confirmed to hit all the way through on airborne opponents 5AAA > 2B > 2DD > [4]B > 2B > C Bufula > [5]B > Sweep > B Droit should be entirely plausible. The followup to the 2DD has already been confirmed stable. Or as Jyosua stated 5AAA > OMC > 2B as a worst case scenario. Shadows retaining vanilla auto combos is certainly interesting however. I wonder if the second hit of even the vanilla auto combo has been lowered or not, if it hasn't 5AA > 5B > 2B should still work for Shadow Mitsuru. Reports specifically stated 5AA > 5B no longer worked on airborne opponents, so 2B being slower wasn't the issue for that combo. This is of course all speculation at this point, but what I can I say speculation is fun and I am hype that P4C exists in the first place. Here's hoping for some Shadow Mitsuru footage sooner then later! 5AAA>2B>2D was the confirm I did in P4A when I got a really unexpected 5A anti-air confirm or didn't cancel 5AA into 5B on time. As long as it connects that far and the proration hasn't been horribly nerfed for 5AAA, it should be okay. There is always the chance it might not work though, even on OMC, if they made 2B too slow and nerfed the proration on 5AAA. This is the first Loketest, so we have no idea what will change, but let's hope for the best. On a side note, I wonder if 2D > [6B] will work off OMB combos?
LegendaryRath Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 (edited) With any luck, we'll have new optimal combos. I'm looking forward to finding them all in training mode. ok, being realistic, of course we'll have new optimal combos. I'm just excited about the process of getting them. Antiquarian Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I've personally always been of a fan of 2DD combos over 2D > [6]B > etc. combos (Hazama player go figure I like chain combos ) so even if they aren't particularly new, if they become the optimal confirms I wouldn't mind that at all. But on top of that I certainly do want some new combos, and I'm super interested in seeing how Tentarafoo functions. I wonder if it will be an unblockable like Yosuke's or if it has something to do with the new projectile like someone mentioned earlier. I hope they're two separate things, two new specials would be way more fun to mess around with.
Antiquarian Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Clarifications on some Mitsuru stuff via Stunedge: Mitsuru - 5D and JD is still comboable, just with different way - Droit looked same to me, maybe B one is shorter - 5C dash/baclstep cancelable I'd be pretty happy if Droit actually wasn't hit as hard as everyone initially thought it was, A Droit specifically being slower didn't seem like a reasonable change to me. Also time to start getting hype for new whip combos, I want to see video of this "different way" we combo them now.
LegendaryRath Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 (edited) New whip combos should be hype 5C dash/backdash cancel-able could be big. I think I'm fine with changes to droit, but then again, I haven't seen it for myself. edited the main post with new info, thanks! ***edited the OP again, this time giving extra credit and thanks where it was do. shtkn Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 not enough info to really get a clear picture... oh well. and we still don't know what this new "ice wave" move is? i still suspect that and tentarafoo are one in the same.
LegendaryRath Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 not enough info to really get a clear picture... oh well. and we still don't know what this new "ice wave" move is? i still suspect that and tentarafoo are one in the same. Hopefully we can get some clarification soon. On one hand, we could get two new moves. On the other hand, we could get one move that serves as both.
00Bubbles00 Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 I hope Mitsuru is getting the BBCP Mu-12 treatment for combos... -nerf corner combo damage -buff meterless midscreen combo damage -make combos less CH dependant -change combos to remove weird timing (like Mu-12's habacan stuff / Mitsuru's catching off 2D with 5/4/6B)
LegendaryRath Posted September 12, 2013 Author Posted September 12, 2013 I'm just hoping that she gets a few new ways to confirm into damage, even if it's less than we're used to. Starting almost every confirm with 5AA gets a little bit boring and can lead to some serious autopiloting. Hopefully we'll get actual combos off something else, like 2A. I don't know how, but maybe. just maybe.
xMitsuru Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Mitsuru needs damage buff. She only gets 7k of a fc corner combo. Also her dp needs to be faster and bigger hitbox. Bufudyne needs to be ground unblockable. Ex bufula should cover top and bottom of the screen so they cant super jump it. She also needs better range in her sword. A coup needs knockdown. 5aa should end with a bufula for reset. Also the sweep feint is nice but all her moves need it. Her ik needs an unblockable mixup. They should nerf her charm it takes way too much meter. Thats what I hope to see:/ Vibes

Omex Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 I object to none of this. Finally someone verbalized what we've all been thinking xD well charm DOES take way too much meter!
LegendaryRath Posted September 13, 2013 Author Posted September 13, 2013 well charm DOES take way too much meter! So what you're saying is, Charm should take extra meter and steal health as well? Super! (We're all aware that we're just joking right? I mean... obviously) What Mitsuru really needs is a command throw, with the full range of 5A. It could confirm just like CH air throw, and for just as much damage.
Antiquarian Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 I've been saying Mitsuru needs an air Bufudyne that's ground unblockable since release. It's only fair right?
LegendaryRath Posted September 26, 2013 Author Posted September 26, 2013 (edited) New trailer released, which shows Mitsuru for a whole two seconds. As suspected, the ice wave and tentarafoo are the same move. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=2Toe2yX7nqU#t=23 edit: We can't know for sure, but I'm guessing we wont be able to combo afterwards. We'll probably just end combos with it. Edited September 26, 2013 by LegendaryRath
shtkn Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 that wave moved REALLY fast, but it also looked like it has sizable startup
LegendaryRath Posted September 26, 2013 Author Posted September 26, 2013 and if you listen really carefully, it sounds like a laser beam or something.
AchedSphinx Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Yeah, it depends on how quick it starts up. The wave looks really fast. Went mid-range in about 10-20f so it might be possible to use it mid combo, after droit B. I think the wave could possibly catch them and you can follow up with 5DD or something. Also, I'm pretty bummed there was no footage of her new Auto-combo. The ones I saw from other characters look great. The loketest is coming soon, so hopefully some information trickles down.
Chachaman Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 https://docs.google.com/document/d/1P3-fyaHUzfgguGgELgt-Cw0QapJ2ZhvZZV8o2kL0BUg/mobilebasic?pli=1#h.mjrfdpspprs2 By the end of the weekend we will have a nice list of people impressions for this location test.
Jourdal Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 There's some pretty interesting stuff in there, early opinion on tentarafoo sounds promising "* Tentarafoo looks hellastrong(™)。With this, mitsu could look to catch jumps way more often。Dial A > Tentarafoo comboed"
AchedSphinx Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I'm liking Tentarafoo already. Especially the pose Mitsuru makes while she does it.
