Hmm...I didn't think about Inuyasha or One Piece.

I came up with some pretty obvious ones:

Luffy (okay so I did think about One Piece)

Edit: Though I personally would want Adam Blade from Needless - with a command grab that lets him steal his opponent's signature move and use it against them.

That's way, waaaay too broad to be realistic. You need some kind of an umbrella to limit your options. Like, most of the characters mentioned so far are from the WSJ manga, and there are already plenty of games that focus on that.

Everybody wants this already. Ark just doesn't want to make one because we won't have any money left over to feed our children.

Most of those games either suck or are party games like Jump Super Stars. I was thinking more along the lines of a more traditional 2d fighter made by a company that already knows how to make a solid, non-clunky fighting game. Granted I don't know of every game that exists, so if there is one out there like this that isn't MUGEN, please tell me so that I can go play it.

The point of the thread is not to limit to just one pool of characters or be realistic at all. Jump just happens to publish a lot of the most popular characters, and if you make the game only about Jump then huge names would be missing. If it was just WSJ vs Ark there would be no room for characters like Edward/Alphonse Elric or Vash The Stampede.

But the thread was meant to be more about who you, personally, would want to see put in a game like this. Everyone has their own list of favorites.

You know, seeing that they are in good terms with sega now, i can see them making a new HNK after Xrd is released of course.

Right now all the fgs besides GGAC+ Virtua Fighter and UNIB are on Nesica, is in their interest to have more games that attract people so the arcades have to buy more ringedge2
