The scarf part unfortunately has a hurtbox in it, so just about any hit that doesn't clash can hit him out of it. I can't count the number of times I've been grabbed out of max range j.B by Haku's 5[D] or nailed by some other anti-air.

Newest pet peeve? Jin. Seriously, the crossups and mixups can be annoying online sometimes. I don't know if its just me but blocking half of the crap he does just makes me feel freer than I actually am.

 

Second pet peeve? When I do a combo in a match and then I can't even remember how I even did it. .__.;

When I beat someone with Nu and they try to counterpick with Hazama, but they aren't good with him so they just lose harder. Does anybody actually play Hazama anymore or does he exist only for counterpicks?

He's still out there, just not as much because now they have to work for good damage instead of trying to break their C button.

EDIT: Another one: When I'm messing around with Mu and set down a stein in neutral against Azrael and he immediately growlers like I can't breakdance over and grab him out of it before the laser hits. It's worse than whiffing a Nu 5D over him and knockdown and him wakeup growlering in response.

Azrael is one of those characters that can be played a million different ways, and half of those ways involve stupid shit.

I try my best to play a "legit" Azrael, which makes it pretty disheartening to see someone else use him in a scumbaggy way.

Us Azrael mains have such a bad rep because of things like that.

I don't know, Az is a joke to me. He's almost a given to mash on wake up. Now if he hits you, it's another story.

Blocking him/getting out of his pressure feels just as easy imo. So much of his stuff is "IB and mash". I know he has anti-mash options for people who IB, but then its just as easy to neutral jump amd see if he tried to do backdash>gustav. Maybe its the fact that so many people feel free to him that a lot of people use repetitive stuff and somehow win. Are there just not a lot of good Azrael's?
