The fact that some people simply will not challenge anything you do, even when you give them the chance. 

 

 

There's no reason I should be able to cheese so much with Ragna's 5B and not challenged. Come on Netplay.

Other than the fact that it's the best 5B in the game, controls a vast amount of space for a ton of active frames, and a number of characters basically CAN'T challenge it and have to find a way to go around?

I'm talking about Ragna mirrors and I was literally sandbagging, all I did was 5BxN and I got like 5 CH's in a row. No attempt to jump out our DP or anything.

Makoto's 5B is a straight punch -> 9 frames of startup 

 

Please justify this Arc  :?:

Relius' 5B is real nice tho, safer too, reaches max range faster, although I guess it doesn't matter when rags has a million cancelable options and (as of cp2.0) 5K damage off a midscreen poke... uhhh :D

Because Ragna is a dirty cheater and gets hitboxes on his 5B the instant he's in a position to like, clip you with his hip or thigh (and then gets MORE hitboxes when he finally finishes spinning enough to hit you with his foot) whereas Makoto has to extend her whole arm before she gets a hitbox, like a normal person. :P

Honestly? I kinda hate hitboxes in this game. They are so F-ing arbitary. Yeah, it TOTALLY MAKES SENSE that Ragna has a hitbox on his BACK LEG when doing j.B. Totally.

Well that's just a callback to the old Street Fighter Ken/Ryu crossup kick, an homage to basically the invention of modern fighting games.

The biggest thing with hitboxes and not making sense is still the "I jumped out and airdashed behind you, but I got airgrabbed" magic trick.

 

Man, I tend to have what feels like this happen in Xrd, where I'll be like at their head level in the air, or think I'm behind them but get normal (as in ground) grabbed, lol. I thought I'd lost my mind until it started happening more than once.

If it's a proper crossup, this will fail because your inputs will switch. :P

 

I have no objections to crossups.  I have objections to them looking stupid.  If you want a move to cross up, give the character animation so the move crosses up.  Not because they hit you with their pants.

Not really, you got quite a free period of buffing an input in Blazblue; your DP should come out long before the opponent's crossup hits you.

 

And most crossups take advantage of those hitboxes, so you take them away what do you have....?

I mean ragna kinda has a crossup animation. Like his entire lower body is falling on you

In this case there was lag and it was annoying.
