the kusanagi slayer Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 I'm going to see if i can find something to make that happen, Atleast we have arcade mode for now until then. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7hPaeTII9U Holy Sh** i Did it, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd1CAmS8LIM
Poultrygeist Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Jesus fucking Christ is there a more comfortable method to getting level 3 22C on a pad. Doing a full match with this character is just monotonous and tiring because some genius at Arcsys thought requiring him to hit level 3 for simple meterless bnbs was a good idea. And it's not much more fun on a stick either. It's not that it's hard, it just makes my hands really tired no matter what I play on.
GKHiryu Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Seriously? I can get the "on pad" part, but on stick it's not only easy, but fun. No better way to relieve stress than to mash that C, especially when it leads to 4k+ damage. If it's really an issue for you, maybe try different button setup? Like bind C to shoulder buttons, that might help.
Justice7541 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 You don't have to mash it that much, it's just 7 presses before the second stomp. Just do 22CCCCCCC then put the pad down for a couple of seconds and take a break.
Kitten Burglar Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 People always say different numbers for how many mashes are required. I'm doing it consistently with 5 mashes right now. Also if you want to mash it faster on pad, I find using the tip of my thumb easier.

Raccoon Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 It's REALLLLLLLY easy to do. I'd imagine most people are adding extra 2 inputs which kill the max mash.
Ourozama Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 In my case, I just shift my index finger while having my thumb to support the index or the other way around to mash. Still it's really annoying since I will miss the input of 3C sometimes due to changing my grip of the controller too fast
GawdlikeMatt Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 So I'm hoping someone can provide me with some insight, I'm looking to play Terumi and he's a very beginner friendly character which is nice however I have extreme difficulty executing cleaving fang to get the full 6 stomps and wall bounce. I thought that mashing the button more times would get me more stomps but I mash the button so hard and so fast I give myself a headache just trying to get the 6 hits but I can only ever get 4, and because of this I can't perform half Terumis combos. Could somebody please tell me what I'm doing wrong? is it a timing thing? when exactly do I need to mash or is that even my problem?

The only thing I could say is that you gotta mash as much as you can, so is a matter of practice, and of course, everyone get tired of it, but you'll get used to it.
Justice7541 Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 That is literally the topic of the discussion above you, scroll up a tiny bit. To repeat, you don't need to kill yourself mashing throughout the entire thing. The mash is "over" by the time he gets to the second stomp so that point you can just stop mashing entirely and you'll either have succeeded or not. Your best bet is just to use all your energy mashing it out right at the start of the move (before you even see the stomp) then just stop and take a break once you actually see the move happening.
Poultrygeist Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 I don't know how this works for everyone but for me when the mash period comes up I just rhythmically mash six times in a row and then stop. Since I play on a pad I switch over so that it's the bridge joint of my thumb mashing the C button so I don't kill my fingers.
Raccoon Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 You only need 5 (including the initial C from 22C), according to my input display. There is no reason to miss this unless you are mashing 2.
Verimeloni Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Is there any way to combo into 236236D or 214214D? Back throw > 236236D/214214D 6A CH > 236236D 6A reduces damage by 900 tho.
Lucalibur Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I don't think it combos from 6D anymore due to the slower startup, but I could be wrong.
Verimeloni Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Anything into 22C or 6D midscreen No. (Meaning I couldn't get those to work.)
Koori Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Anything into 22C or 6D midscreen I went into the lab and 6D doesnt combo into it anymore, midscreen lvl3 22C does though and its an easy 4.8k, OD version goes up to about 5.9k
heavymetalmixer Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Why is the Terumi wiki section still outdated?, now with the american version of 1.1 we have the chance to update the info on him . . . now, I don't know how to collect frame data nor I'm an expert on Terumi, so is not exactly like I can do something about it.
Grigori Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Reguarding Terumi's J.2D...is there some kinda trick to making it easier to use? I'm finding it very difficult to keep a combo going with it or using it fast enough to not be punished while applying pressure. For one reason or another trying to jump cancel into it is very hard for me to manage, so I'm wondering if there is an input that it still reads that makes it easier. If not I guess I'm just really awful at using it correctly. I need to master using it properly to make things easier for me tho, so any advice is appreciated.

Besides ari combos, I use j.2D only for mixups and pressure, what I do is jump backwards and try to do the input as quick as possible, because he advaces a lot. Edit: Question: Besides 214D, are there other ways to open defensive players?
