Quick update on findings:

6D recovery nerf is real and it is nasty! In order to link anything other than a special you need them pretty high up (need to use 22C, 5B, 5D, 6D) and even then you have to use 3C (10 frames) or faster.

Driveloops are possibily the hardest combo he has and actually requires alittle execution but not impractical. The rewards are great

22C, jakou has a pretty strict window but if you mess up they must tech immediey or they will get hit anyway.

It's practical, but the timing is wierd as hell. You definetely need lab time with driveloops in my opinion, but they are not impractical by any means.

Just to let everyone know, challenge 19 for terumi teaches you a basic driveloop (it doesn't show you a link into 6D)

I thought they removed the old lv2 22C. So it's only lv1 and lv3 now.

Yeah, I was just thinking that since there's no level 2 anymore, we call the old level 3 level 2 now lol.

 

But no, the old level 2 doesn't exist anymore, only level 1 and level 3, which I call new level 2

Everywhere I go, I see people saying "Omg Terumi sucks" "He's so bad he has is own tier".

But why ? I've seen his changes and I don't really understand why he's so bad, hell I am playing with him and I find him a good character :/

Because the only things he's good at are Heat gain and damage, but ASW greatly nerfed those two.

Heat Gain nerfs are not nerfs to his Drive. It's just that several nerfs, including 236D's shorter range and 6D not sending people as far and as vertically, result in his midscreen combos becoming far weaker, which translates into less damage and less Heat Gain.

The 6D nerf also wrecks the heat gain and damage in corner. In 1.1 I usually do at least 3.6K and 72 heat from a 5B, in 2.0 is like 3.3K and 51 heat.

Can't 5B>3C>22CCCCCC>5B>5D>6D>5B>5D>236D still work? I need to lab Teru stuff honestly. *Sigh* can't wait til' thursday.

I don't know much about this character or what's optimal, but corner 5B>3C>22CC...>5B>5C>2C>5D>6D>5B>5C>3C>236D is 3.8K 67 meter
