king of heart Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 (edited) http://twitter.com/EvilMrWizard/statuses/388703386385670145 According to the link above, AC+R could be nominated to be one of the main games at Evo2014. I really wish that would happen and i would like all GG players here to vote for +R Edited October 12, 2013 by king of heart
DeadlyCreampuff Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Tweeted at him for some +R :D If a poll is made I'll definitely help as well
tataki Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Voting with your feet that is. Help the game have tournament presence throughout the year and it will be at EVO for sure. This also goes towards BBCS.
DeadlyCreampuff Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Would love to when EU has tourneys I can go to for it, still learning the game at the moment and will verbally promote it best I can for now This GG stuff got its hooks into me bad^^
swordsman09 Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 I would rather have Xrd if it comes out at the time.
LaziestNameEver Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 I doubt Xrd will be out in time. Either +R or BBCP would be awesome.
DaiAndOh Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Unless the numbers get shit, at least (and more than likely only) one ASW game will be at EVO. The best way to vote is to actually go to the majors. I think things will be decided after NEC....
DeadlyCreampuff Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 I would rather have Xrd if it comes out at the time. Funnily enough thats about exactly what I tweeted. Bottom line as long as Guilty Gear is present
Grimsley-San Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 I doubt Xrd will be out in time. Either +R or BBCP would be awesome. Wasn't Xrd announced to come out in "Early 2014?"
SolxBaiken Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 "Spring" for arcades, unspecified time in 2014 for PS3/4, and that's before even accounting for a North American release as I'm unsure on how likely EVO is to support a game that could be import only for a significant amount of time.
Grimsley-San Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 "Spring" for arcades, unspecified time in 2014 for PS3/4, and that's before even accounting for a North American release as I'm unsure on how likely EVO is to support a game that could be import only for a significant amount of time. I'm guessing it'll probably come out as a demo preview at EVO next year? Like Injustice back in EVO2k12?
SolxBaiken Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 I'd like that but not sure how likely that'd be. NetherRealms is a Western developer, so they were just appealing to their target audience [not to mention having something to prove] and even with ARC's greater awareness of the North American market, they still leave alot to be desired when compared to the likes of Capcom, Bamco, or heck even Sega or Atlus. Hopefully things will start to look up with Xrd, although I'd like ARC/Aksys to start "now" with CP.
TAI-X Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 It's pretty sad that they're only going to pick one of three NEW Arc Systems games to be featured. It's probably going to be +R; BB doesn't have enough mass appeal, name recognition or "hype" behind it.
Nephinel Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Why only one game? Why not have all three in the main EVO 2014 lineup?
HolyOrderChipp Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Why only one game? Why not have all three in the main EVO 2014 lineup? Capcom bias.
r0b0t Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Capcom bias. It is really just simple numbers, Capcom games are simply more popular. And adding 3 anime games is more overhead than the Evo staff is willing to afford. We are probably lucky they are even considering one Anime Fighter. This year is really not all that interesting to me though. I am just waiting for Guilty Gears reincarnation XRD. I would like to think it will make it into EVOs 2015 lineup. We were robbed of a year with +r because it took them too long to get it on 360 and PS4. Really I should hate arcsys for not coming to America. But I love guilty gear to much to hate them. If I knew Japanese and could do the same job I am doing now, but in Japan, and my GF wanted to live there, I would probably find a way to live there. Haha, just so I can play Guilty Gear on the regular.
tataki Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Why only one game? Why not have all three in the main EVO 2014 lineup? Turnouts are too small. Any game that gets big numbers gets in easily. And when I say big I mean at least 500 expected at EVO, which no airdasher has.
