I've seen a lot of speculation in here about Chronophantasma and if the Asia Version has English subtitles.

In order to sort this out i've contacted Play-Asia and got it confirmed yesterday. I usually visit this site just to read information but i had to register just to get this info out to you guys who are importing the game.

You can read the full answer from Play-Asia below:

"Dear XXXXX,

The japanese version is

http://www.play-asia.com/blazblue-chrono-phantasma-paOS-13-49-en-70-6h6h.html.

While the Asian is

http://www.play-asia.com/blazblue-chrono-phantasma-japanese-version-paOS-13-49-en-70-4cto.html.

The Asian version allows you to choose another Subtitle.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Best regards,

Cristyl

I don't know. I'm still skeptical. Note in the product description it says:

"Please note the the content of the language (voice) & subtitles are subject to change!"

I very highly doubt it'll have English subs. Besides, ´´other subtitle`` is pretty vague, so there's no guarantee she's referring to English.

The product description does say it includes English, Chinese, Korean subtitles, but again, I'll believe it when I see it.

It makes sense a bit since I've seen manga use Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and english all at the same time, Generally they know at least a bit of all those languages, but I'd still be a bit suspicious too

I've checked this out more thoroughly and it seems that previous BlazBlue-games and DLC released in the asia region also had english options. I browsed the Hong Kong PSN Store and according to it the other games were in english as well.

I took a print screen just to prove my point.

Even IF this is true, how good would the subs be? You'd think if they had a quality translation all ready to go, North America wouldn't be waiting another few months for the game (and who knows how long for Europe).

You have to keep in mind that BB games have always ship with English voice files for matchmaking purposes, and the same has been confirmed for BBCP. English subtitles have NOT been confirmed for BBCP though.

Asian region games sometimes release with English subtitles, sometimes Chinese. In the case of BBCP, it would be VERY unlikely that subtitling would be present in the Asia release that were not in the Japanese release due to the timing of the release dates (same day). If it's in the Asia region release, it will most likely be in the Japanese release too.

This isn't to say there isn't a chance that English subtitles will be there. They might be. But the probably is extremely low and suggesting that someone import BBCP's Asia region release on the assumption that English subtitles are present is kind of irresponsible. It's not confirmed, but we'll be able to comment more after Thursday.

Well, Play-Asia have updated their list today and the asia version is now also listed as English / Chinese version.

Surely they must have tried the game now to confirm that? I've heard of preorders being sent out too.

So i changed my order to this asian version since this one doesnt have "the subject to change" like the asian (japanese) version. Hopefully the options, network screens are all in english, but we'll see

Did the Japanese version of previous BBs have English subtitle options?

Personally, I'm a bit scared of delaying my order, so I'm just going to stick with the JP version and use Kurushii's menu guide.

@Wander

Is the ETA on your new order for the Asian version still October 24th?

So does anyone know if the HK psn store will get the game this week?

Under morgondagen enligt Sonys egen sida för Hong Kong-regionen.

http://blog.asia.playstation.com/community/hk/en/playstation_network/playstation_store/blog/2013/10/22/whats-on-psn-this-week--21th-octocber

Jag funderar på att avboka min order från Play-Asia och köpa digitalt istället då dom inte har fått in den asiatiska versionen ännu. Om du vet någon sida som säljer PSN-kort för HK till bra pris så hofta till i ett PM :)

Sorry for all the cryptic language (a.k.a. Swedish).

Your cryptic Swedish doesn't scare me! (From Finland, Swedish is mandatory in school :p)

I think ebay.com and Play-Asia are your best options for PSN cards be it HK or JP. I guess all the stores in Kurushii's FAQ (the 'how to make a JP PSN account etc.' -one) sell JP and HK cards.

Haha, awesome!

Yeah, i'll go with Play-Asia, that way i can play it tomorrow. Cancelled my preorder of the physical disc and i'm gonna grab it from the Hong Kong Store instead since i already made an account.

Is it alright if i add you on PSN? We're a group of Swedes who are gonna play this weekend so it would be fun if another Scandinavian would join us :)

Please do, I don't have much friends on PSN because I mainly play with 360 but I'll propably get my copy maybe next week. After I've mastered CP Tsubaki and tried out Azrael I'll start playing online, I suppose the connection should also be pretty good since we're both in Sc.
