You know after I saw that video I was trying to do it as well.. But my combo looked liek this: (insert launcher) dash j.H, j.D, j.H, j.D | dash j.H, j.D, j.H, j.D | j.s, j.D, j.s, j.D, lvX BRP I only got it to work 2 times outa like 50 but it was huge dmg on soul but it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hard to do. That dash takes amazing timeing to get in.

omg lol.. Im never gona be able to pull this off in an actual fight.. xD... alrite I can't get it anymore x.x I fail at dashing in between the reps. But I have noticed if you are close enough you can relaunch with a 5.s

Actually, I've been succesful with this combo in arcade mode than in training mode. Anyways, the 5S,j.S,dj.H-D extension does about 15 damage in the combo; so missing it is not a big deal. Sanma tends to fuck up the combo a lot too btw, only in textbook situations (such as the start of the round) he hits it.

be careful for the dp that can come after that GB guard.

i only can confirm that.

2d is ok against chipp and ky and o-sol shoryu

for sol zappa,axl? gunblaze is a better option if u think they'll shoryu.....once they're used to thant, u can build ur usual pressure.

I've got a combo that expends a full charge gauge, but deals 210 + knockdown without tension. Tested in corner vs. Testament. Dashing c.S, f.S, 5H, l3RI, 5H, j.S, j.D, l2BRP. I have no idea who else it would work on, nor whether a midscreen variation could be developed. I *had* a version that dealt 216, but I can't seem to figure out what it was...

Swap out the last j.S for a j.HS and you get 216 on standard-stamina opponents.

eh, I really like this combo for a lv3 RI combo.

light/midweight variation. Add a c.S for heavies.

Thats pretty beastly. I usually just do iad jh > jd > second rep of dloop, but your combo not only probably does more damage, but also knocks down.

Back in that same veign of silly combos, if you reach the corner by the end of the RI, l3RI can combo back into it self and still combo into dloop. Kinda funky looking combo.

I don't really ever hit lv3 RI that much though :/

I can bust 300 dmg on Slayer in the corner..: Fafnir->Full D.loop->lvl3 BRP->HJI Half D.loop xD Hard has heck to do but if you do... omg @Henti Love: If you gatling into a c.S->JI->hs You can do just about what ever you want after that.. Im sure you kno that tho x.x @Holy Order Chip: If you do a AC FRC at the end of the RI lvl 3 then you can still combo into a D.loop if you relaunch with somethin.. I just go straight into a HJI or D. loop, but you get no knock down wit the HJI x.x

Yeah, the point of what Kamui posted and partially what I said was how he did a straight dloop off it(into lv2 brp even) which is vastly superior to any hji combo you're going to get off it. That said, if your opponent is going to die from the hji combo go for it. No need to do something silly and hard like that for no reason. As for the other combo you mentioned. You're probably better off taking the kd off the brp lv3, charging, and then taking a mixup than doing the hj combo off of it. You could also probably do c.s js jd/djd(which ever would hit depending on the situation) and then do a lv2brp for a bitty bit of extra dmg and still getting the kd, but honestly by the time you start the lv3brp combo after the dloop the extra damage you're tacking on doesn't really merit giving up all your charge and not getting a kd.

I guess it's more practical than the last 2 combos I posted, but kd's are for the win. Also kind of hard to get a fafnir hit dead in the corner(except off 2h rc), but what ever floats your boat. It's way better then charge keeping and doing a lv1 brp for sure.

Question: which combos do you suggest to finish a vs. Ky match quickly (and smart)?

anything that has lv3 in it

since that will definitely help you in killing him faster

try to avoid BHB combos since they are hard to hit on ky and they don't do alot of damage

stick to BRP and RI combos

You can't combo into K or Ri from sweep on Ky, unless you have l2. If 2D CCs its a different story, but the regular 2D hit will pretty much end your combo.

Sweep -> RI is a horrible combo anyway, unless you intend to RC at midscreen and take your opponent to the corner. And K doesn't combo off of sweep on anyone unless you CC or it CHs...in which case it will combo on Ky either way.

No it wont work off of 2D CC... and that's training mode+match tested.
