I can be a pink now :P. I'm being stupid.

ggs to people.

I hit itsuu too much, lol

It took me about a month to adjust to stick. I actually regretted buying it after a week or two thinking I made a bad investment. After a month I adapted. I think IADs are the hardest thing to do and then dashes, micro dashes. Playing Tsubaki still drives me nuts. Precise supers are weird.

Itsuu like it's CT Litchi. Ah, those were the days when you could just 3c Itsuu C. Forcing the 2nd hit on block was too good though. I miss 4D kote too. I do it too much too sometime, or too early before it guard-points.

GGs RedCoatDead.

Only 10 people at a time where there are usually 30-40.

The UNiEL Apocalypse hit hard....

You still have me.  :kitty:

GGs to iMainJacky and everyone else I played on Ranked today . . . with the exception of ILikeThoughtx: Disconnecting when I'm winning against his Nu-13, and using lag tactics to win with Tager on Ranked . . . sigh.

Lag tactics?  With Tager?!  Oh, the scandal!!

J/k

ggs to drumhort (I know I messed that one up) and AnAltarOfSalt.  We have to stop meeting that way. People will start talking.

Seems I still need to work on my attitude in matches. I need to stop worrying about what they can do and just play with my prey in my own mind. I tend to be hesitant on my fancier pressure strings unless I'm assured they are locked down through momentum. It's weird.

GGs to Ethereal_Albion. Didn't you play Hakumen in CT or CS? Perhaps another ethereal.

I suddenly feel the need to play P4A.

Agito can't haunt me there. I think.

Kanji j.B.  I use a Gadget Finger mix-up with that.

To those of you saying BB is dead or otherwise deserted : In the past several times when this happened, I used this opportunity to close the skill and system/game mechanics gap between myself and those who were considered "top players" at the time. Those were valuable periods for my development that I used to focus on a great number of all kinds of issues that I still had (and in some ways still do).

So use this time to close the distance and become powerful instead of not...

I bodied his Kagura using them same lag tactics.

UMvC3, you can't injure me there.

And Nemesis saves the day again lol.

What exactly did you do?

You just keep playing.  When they come back, they're usually still at the same place they were when they went to the other game.  Sometimes worse when mechanics of the other game mess with them (me).

Don't worry, Musou.  I can keep you sharp.

These tactics. I like this.

You're scaring me in more ways than I can get CH'd by Agito.

What exactly did you do?

I worked on any number of gameplay issues that I was aware of or made aware of. During slump periods I was surrounded mostly by players of similar skill levels or weaker as the "top players" or otherwise better players than myself had migrated. Badlime is correct in his assumption that you "just keep playing" but that in and of itself really isnt enough - you need to focus your efforts and pinpoint areas of weakness and correct them as best your able. I worked on things like the blocking aspect of defense, too many players think defense and automatically assume it means blocking and they are wrong - its just one aspect of it - albeit very important. I also used such times to work on combo proficiency and High Mobility aspect of defensive/aggressive play...

I am most proud of my Stein Mastery and Origins development and understanding that I forced myself to learn throughout slump periods - so really there is alot- a shitton that you can in fact really work on and in all reality, only your own mind is the limit. I say so because of my development path that was considered rather unpopular in the "early days" when mu-12 had a more vibrant community - alot of the mu-12 players thought I was crazy and had really dumb ideas or etc (aka catch sparkbolt with The Origins)  - and in some cases they were right, but that was for me to find out through persistent experimentation. (that so called dumb idea taught me the value of instant twitch reaction DP skill that I use to great effect today - to such extent that my tech is usually unusable for other mu-12 players due to the high demand of advanced DP defensive skill reaction usage that my tech requires.)

Experimentation such as this allowed me to think for myself instead of conforming to a prescribed Mu-12 playstyle that might have stifled my growth. Im not saying completely disregard the knowledge of your mod's and fellow players, but that your own path of development can be equally important and enriching. I still credit C0R for much of my skill growth, and am extremely grateful for his particular brand of teaching, even though he and I play nothing alike, but he encouraged alot of inward thinking and "do-it-yourselfness". Aside from that though I still insisted upon developing "my way" which has taught me both good and poor lessons - thankfully with the assistance of more technical experts than myself I have been able to slowly eliminate some of those habits and become somewhat unique if I do say so myself. That unique approach of mine is non traditional and makes my style of play harder to adapt too.

TL;DR - take advantage of the knowledge and know-how of other players and mods but remember to play the game your way so that you dont end up a cookie cutter representation of said character we've already seen a hundred times and know how to deal with.

Reading that post reminded me of the days when everyone would criticize mAc for spamming D.

Mind you, this was back in CT where Ds were frame 1 and did 4.5k+ damage. Here in CP, Haku's D has been nerfed into the ground, yet no one questions it anymore.

They question themselves instead.

5D/2D Fatal Counter can land us 5k.  Tnat 6D, though...

It doesn't have to be Agito.  It could be Bang's 5A, Ragna's 5B, Kagura's 5C, or Jin's 5D.
