toanenadiz Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 A mod just organizes stuff and keeps up on track. We should all be the ones generating the content for the mod to organize. And I guess I could do the wiki stuff. I already did the rest of it. But I am not doing the combo section without you guys telling me which combos you think should be on the wiki. And no flashy stuff SWD
mAc Chaos Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 The timing is to start your jump as soon as they start sliding down the wall. I can safejump 623B just fine. Nah man, he wanted the mod position All dis work and expectation is why i wouldn't pursue the position even if I could get it. (i mean i'd totally be down for a mod position if I could just be lazy about all the work ) how did i end up like this 5 games a slave

toanenadiz Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Kiba goes far beyond what many mods do and I don't think it is right to expect a mod to do that. It is certainly nice if they do so but I would like to think that the Nu forums could be a team rather than a one man show with Hex doing pretty much everything.

There is no middle ground.
toanenadiz Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Hex, could you check the mook again assuming Kurushii still has it around? Gravity seed has these two notes: *Consumes 330 points when in Dia Forma and *Consumes 990 points when in Luna Forma, but consumes only 330 if attack whiffs, but Luna consumes more on whiff than Dia. I would guess it consumes 660 points on whiff but it would be nice if you could check the mook again and see if there is a different value in there.

someonewhodied Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 You know what. I should be a mod. And create all sorts of flashy stuff only until they become the standard.
BloodWolF Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 As far as the mod discussion, I agree with Toan. I think those of us that are active in the Nu community should work together to better the information available to everyone. We don't need mod privileges to help with the wiki and we shouldn't leave it all on Hex's shoulders. He's a "moderator" of the forums, so he can analyze and moderate the content we put in. Just my 2 cents.

Dazardz Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Weeee!!! My copy of BBCP should be here on Saturday and I can play my main, Nu again! So happy to be re-united... I havn't posted anything on the V-13 forums for months. I bet nobody even remembers me Lalala anyway, can somebody tell me why Gravity oki (Dia) in the corner is so good? Does it give you time to space yourself out, making you safe from a DP while they can't escape because of gravity? Cause I still feel like spamming Sickle Oki.

Well, firstly, congratulations and welcome back! XD Now, about your question. I'm not completely sure on this, so take this with a grain of salt, but the reason most go for Gravity okizeme in the corner is both due to the reasons that you stated, and that if you can get a hit on the opponent while Gravity Seed is still active, you can lead into some fairly powerful combos, that otherwise, would require many more resources to accomplish. That being said, I'm also fairly certain that it comes down to a matter of preference I.E. Trapping the opponent in the corner and having to opportunity to space and plan your next attack, or locking down the opponent and gaining a chance at mix up that could lead into another combo ending in Okizeme. Also, bear in mind that you could potentially use both okizeme options at the same time. Just be sure to lay down Gravity before Sickle Storm.
Ryuujinx Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Been playing a bit more. Pretty much decided to main Platinum and hope I enjoy Nu/Lambda in the next iteration. Though I guess I might play Kokonoe like -everyoneelse- Edit: And why is Izayoi so bad ;( She's so flashy!
HexaNoid Posted December 20, 2013 Author Posted December 20, 2013 That's strange. I'm assuming you needed those values for the wiki? I would just go ahead and change that to 660 points since we know now that Luna consumes more gauge on whiff than Dia. Or we could use %ages for the consumption like we have in the past. I feel like that would be slightly easier to read, to be honest. You're no fun. you coulda joined us in joking about putting all the weight on Hex :| I, for one, feel that you should all follow Blood's example and be nice to me.
Dazardz Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 The universe doesn't want me to have this game. Play-Asia changed my order status from 'Hold' to 'Preparing Order'. They said the estimated shipping date is the 27th. Man, I was supposed to have the game yesterday. This means no 22A mind killers for me... I really wanted to experience the same pain as you guys.
AchedSphinx Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Well, now that I've gotten used to it. It's actually not all that bad. I can 22A in my sleep.
BloodWolF Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Yeah. I've always enjoyed the 22A stuff. That doesn't mean I don't drop some 3C > 22A > 3C combos online, but I've always been a fan of the switching.
Legacy Edge Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Im only having troubles 2DD>22A>6A, im ok with the rest
Dazardz Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Thanks for clearing that up toan. Now I can move on to improving my Oki game.
Dazardz Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I'm experiencing hell online, can't get 236D > 22A > 5D corner to hit 75% of the time. I'm starting to grow out of Nu, as if she isn't my type. I can't even zone anymore, all my 5D's whiff, which is where my signature came from... the only thing I have going for me is that nobody on netplay blocks overheads.
toanenadiz Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Is there no one you can play offline in London? Nu is annoying to play online with so you will probably enjoy her a lot better if you could get some offline games to remember why you loved to use her.
Dazardz Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Nobody in London. Hell not even people on dustloop in London are at my level that I know of, they're all better. About two of my friends are into anime, but they've never heard of Blazblue. I'll try doing some more offline games, I also agree that I've been missing out on those and rushing into online which is probably where I went wrong. Hopefully this is good, I've pretty much avoided her for 3 days. I really hope this can save me because I'm having a hard time letting Nu go.
LordSpectreX Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Nobody in London. Hell not even people on dustloop in London are at my level that I know of, they're all better http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?17585-Astral-Heat-Overdrive-January-25th-London-UK Trust me there are PLENTY of bad players for you to fight. Plenty of people on Dustloop here know people who don't go on Dustloop.
