Snilly Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Hi, I very recently started playing Ragna, but on CT since that's all I can really afford. Is there any place I should start to learn Ragna or Blazblue in general? I get confused even by the "simple" threads like this one.

Welcome, for basic Ragna stuff in CT (if you know the moves already you can skip to 3:06) If you have questions about the character you can ask here, for general stuff in BlazBlue search info/post questions in the Beginner Mode section of the forums, for fg lingo and that kind of general stuff check out the dustloop wiki + search tutorial vids in youtube, there are plenty.

Hello! Thanks for the video and advice. A question I have is how do I do 623C on a joystick? I try to do inferno divider, but I mess up all the time and end up just doing 3C :(. EDIT: Nvm I got it. Took me a while to realize I can press C while still holding 3.
SoulGuitarist Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 I been watching and played a few really good Ragna players and I noticed something that I really don't understand. It seems that Super jump j.A is very common especially in some higher level arcade footage. What are that main reasons to use it? Why is it used pretty frequently when initiating a jump? Koga_Noid Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Basically to catch people in the air, you can convert it into an combo ending with decent oki. I like to abuse it pretty frequently.
Jackie Chandler Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 It's also quick and non-committal with a very decent hitbox/angle to it.
SoulGuitarist Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Ah! I see! Hmmm may I have an example of what kind of combo you would do and what kind of oki you get? Forgive me if these are silly questions. I been playing Ragna since CP but CF is the first game where I been actually observing, exploring, trying really hard to up my game. Sent from my KYOCERA-C6745 using Tapatalk Depends on the height and position... something like j.AAA> DID is the safest combo to go. j.A> j.C (JC)> (j.C)> j.D> NE is probably the most damaging and best oki option off that situation, and if you have meter you can RC NE into stuff> CS or OD CS for a round/match ender combo.
