CezTS Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Man do people still play this?? i just got it working, and don't see anyone in the lobby
.dub Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Man do people still play this?? i just got it working, and don't see anyone in the lobby If you see absolutely no-one, then you probably are having some kind of problem. I had a similar problem too... and unfortunately have no idea why it was happening. Could have something to do with your ports. Alternatively you could be using a delay timing which no-one is using. Best delay timings to use are either 2 or 4.
CezTS Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 ah ok forgot about that ty for the reply:keke: EDIT!: was using default 2 and tried 4 no dice....i know for certain i have my ports forwarded both on my dsl modem an router i host dota games online...hmmmm... could it have something to do with the lobbies? im using lobby/delay2 that apprently has 82 ppl in it .dub: are you using the same version that you posted in your previous post?..or are you using an older one?
.dub Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 .dub: are you using the same version that you posted in your previous post?..or are you using an older one? I'm using the newest one actually which is working just fine. v112-3 Are you seeing an totally empty lobby, like I had in my previous post (see screenshot)?
CezTS Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 yeah...im using you the default port 10000 that i forwarded through my router and modem..just the same as i did with my other games so i can host...hmm oh well ty for the help
Emerge Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 are you sure you guys have the proper server address in the box? my buddy had a problem like this because he had some characters in the box that were off
Hayato182004 Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 So, I went on today and I tried to play with a keyboard. Holy crap is it difficult. I'll post the replays of me playing on a keyboard soon. I couldn't really do anything. What you'll see in the replays is pretty much how I will probably play on a Stick. I don't know if DD, Kedako Wannabe, or Spicy Salami even read my comment box before facing me. My guess is they probably thought I was lying or I was the fake. Well, I wasn't. I don't know how you keyboard players can play so well.
123698741 Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 if you think playing with keyboard is hard, trying using a controller that is similiar to the wii nunchuck, i tried it once, died extra horriblly.
Sanoshi Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 if you think playing with keyboard is hard, trying using a controller that is similiar to the wii nunchuck, i tried it once, died extra horriblly. 8D practice for GGXX ver on the Wii ya?
Hidden Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Play with a keybord is like play with a broken stick ^^# Hayato, if you will play with some characters where hold buttons is interresting ( like Eddie ) you should try to play with a stick. It may be difficult at the begin, but after it's really pleasant ^^ I say you that because I use a stick for few. It's great for Wii users that a stick is coming. Play with the Wii mote should be strange O_O
Ryu Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 hey, has a new update been made/ old one been fixed yet?
CezTS Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Well whenever i run guilty gear and check the port it still says closed 61 etc when i check on whatsmyip.org, i've tried the default port 10000 but nothing, i've also tried using the same port that use to host other games but still nothing. It says open when i host games for my other apps...i dunno should I name it specifically something?...i dunno any help is appreciated =(
Holygriever Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 First of all, hello everyone. They call me Grivu, and I've recently became a Guilty Gear Addict, as of June, to be more precise. The cause? Listening to Holy Orders (Be Just or Be Dead). I've started with Accent Core (yeah, I know), and I'm gaining some skill. I'm nothing more than a n00b compared to most of you all, but I can hold my own against the CPU on Maniac Mode, so, yeah, I guess I'm doing fairly fine. But that's not the point in my registry and posting. I got REALLY excited when I heard of this patcher that would enable online play (and thus, getting me some human opponents for a change). I've downloaded the Japanese GGXX#R, installed it, and then, I got a bit clueless. This very own topic says that the current version is the 1.09-3, but since that was "Last edited by kugler : 05-12-2007 at 03:54 PM.", I got a little unsure. The offical patcher site says that "GGXXNETv112-3.zip (2007/07/25)" is the latest version , but it seems to only contain a DLL in the compressed file, meaning I should get an older version (in my case, 1.11, I guess) and then just paste the dll over the previous one (maybe?). When I tryed it, my game just crashed accusing a "version error" of some sort. Then I tryed getting the 1.09 version (with the 1.09-3 dll), and it worked. Buuuuut, everyone in the lobby (delay 4, all that jazz) was being accused of using 1.05 version of the patcher. A friend of mine who was doing all the same patching process alongside me logged in, and we tryed to fight, aaaaaand, BLACK SCREEN OF DEATH to us. So, my doubts are: what patcher version should I use? And can someone link me to a GOOD guide on how to forward ports (portforward was good, but I would like a few other options, since I don't know if it has really worked), please? I guess those were my two main problems regarding this issue. Also, when I downloaded the game, it came with a patcher, that can be found here: I meant HERE. Seems to be an alternative to online playing. Does anyonje in here know anything about this? I also have another problem, not regarding online play, but I guess it's better to ask about it here than to make another post. My Guilty Gear Game has NO SOUND EFFECTS. I've tryed both japanese and european releases, and neither has anything besided the (kickass) music in the sound department. I'm COM-PLE-TE-LY clueless on the causes of this problem. Everything seems to be fine with the instalation and all, so, whathehell? I'd appreciate any kind of help. Thanks in advance. Let's ROCK!
DubiousCurvLoop Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Welcome. With the patch issue, use v112 and extract that to your Guilty Gear directory. Then replace the v112 dll with the dll of v112-3, and it should work for you. I tried that Fierce Gear thing sometime, but I couldn't get it to work. As far as I know, that has never worked. As for the port fowarding thing and the sound problems, I have no idea.
Holygriever Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 EVERYTHING IS SOLVED! Thank you, DubiousCurvLoop. With the patcher you told me to use, the port I had forwarded is now working. That kills two problems of the lot. I have fixed my AUdio problem by messing a bit with some Audio configs in my PC (namely putting it on Stereo), and everything is BEAUTIFUL now. =D I'm just yet to find someone from a nearer area to play with less lag. The best pind I got yesterday was 100 ms. =/ Thanks again.
Ryu Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Just got the new patch. The "no response" glitch seems to be fixed. Even better, it seems that I can challenge more people with out d/c Sweetness.

Ryu Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 I got a question about the ranking system. I really dont care about it or anything but do you get the same amount of points for fighting a "F" rank as to a "S" rank. If so thats kinda messed up. I was playing around today and noticed that my rank when up to a B from a C. I like playing everybody so I challenge everyone; but I dont want my rank going up off of someone weaker than i am. =/
