brett_ Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Which is his special Amekyan? BR -> Sidestep during BR -> AC -> Sub
gmsephiroth Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I've been having alot of trouble against melee-oriented suits with Reborns (in particular God Gundam and Banshee). The conventional wisdom seems to be to simply not let them get in too close, but what are my best options in the event that it does happen? For stopping a melee approach the more obvious option is 5AC in G mode and 5B in C mode (or so it seems to me). AB in G mode seems to work as well (so long as the shot doesn't go out of angle), and I suppose 2B would be your only other viable option in C mode since A always seems to miss up close and AC comes out too slow. The other dilemma is that a lot of the better melee oriented suits (like Banshee, The O, God, etc) seem to have decent to good mid range options that, coupled with their speed, make it more difficult to lock them in the mid-range as would be the more common anti-melee approach against weaker melee suits. Maybe I'm just approaching it all wrong, or just need more work and practice on fundamentals or execution, but some insight on the matter would be appreciated.
brett_ Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Just summon Gagas when they get on you and laugh :P.
gmsephiroth Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Just summon Gagas when they get on you and laugh :P. Lol duly noted. I always forget to laugh when I use the Gagas
Dakanya Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 The suit actually has a lot of anti-melee tools and you can get pretty creative thanks to mode changing. Here are a few examples just to get you started. I suggest messing around in training mode or watching replays and building a repertoire of options. Gundam mode Backshot main bdc xN, downs in one hit if all hits connect Backshot main or CSa into sub Gaga On-angle sub + sidestep Cannon mode: 5B is viable due to its fast startup 2B rainbow step backwards CSa Gerobi
magz Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 15:17 <@dakanya> I don't want to double post but on the Reborns thread @dustloop... Reborns does not have a backturn main in Cannon... and BC does not cancel into BC...
ShinsoBEAM Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 BR -> Sidestep during BR -> AC -> Sub Do you mean BR -> BC -> AC -> Sub or do you mean BR >> AC -> sub ?
Dances w Ninjas Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 It's BR -> AC -> Sub. You can sidestep during the BR as long as it's on-angle.
