illness690 Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 I've messed around with BBCSEX a bit, and I dropped it because I constantly got destroyed online, so I wasn't really learning anything. I'm really interested in importing BBCP, but I'd pretty much be a complete noob at the game, and I'm wondering if there's even any point in me learning the game at this point, since pretty much everyone is a killer because they've been playing since the first game. Also what's the online community like? Are a lot of people playing this game? I could rarely find a match in BBCSEX. I want to know these things before I fork over 71 bucks.

Tong Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 If getting destroyed online or not willing to learn and improve are the reasons for not playing, then you're missing the point of fighting games. CP's super active, you can get matches easily in america. And yes, there are beginners too.

At the time I was also playing TTT2, SF4 AE, UMVC3, KOFXIII, and P4A, so yeah, didn't really feel like hopping into another game that had tons of skilled vets that have been playing since the beginning, I was already invested in the other fighters I mentioned. Now I only play AE and Gundam EXVSFB seriously, so I have time to invest in BBCP.
Ragnarok_F4 Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Well, I would think it is better to wait for the US version that is going to be released on March 25th. That way your gonna get the game in english. About the online, I bet there's a lot of people that is playing BBCP or waiting to be released here, so that's probably the reason why online activity is kinda low in BBCSEX. It is true that by this point a lot of people is very good online, but that's the same with any other fighter that has years out there in the market: SF, MvC, MK, Injustice, KOF, etc. Try to find someone with your level to practice, there is always people learning from scratch, and probably there will be even more new people when BBCP gets released here. Almost every person who got JP BBCP is kind of a veteran in the series, so I think is better to start with the US version next month.

Dark Ranger88 Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 I only started playing during the end of Continuum Shift 2's run while having zero experience in playing fighting games. Given that you have lots of previous experience with fighters I don't think it would take you that long to get to a decently competitive level. I would say that winning definitely hinges on what character you pick though. If you want an easy time, pick a good character. I remember it being really easy to beat the average netplayer with Platinum and Ragna after I had only been playing for a couple of months. However it took me over a year to get to the point that I could consistently beat people with Tsubaki or Makoto (and even then good players still crushed me). Who did you use during your stint in extend? Also you should definitely wait until the US release in March.

Lol she was literally the worst character in the game (tied with Tsubaki). That may have been why you were getting stomped. I've been there too. When you do get CP I'd be more than happy to spar with you, if you still want to use Makoto.

I plan on spending a lot of time in the lab before playing online, since I'm pretty much learning the game from scratch all over again, but I'd definitely like to play you once I feel like I'm ready to play other people.
