Isn't Homing Dash the one that is performed after 5D? I never really thought about it, but does he even have that right now?

Also, Hammer Fall didn't get his priority increased (there's no priority in GG, AFAIK), it just has bigger hitbox now (expanded forward).

I think hitbox can be counted as move's priority though(same with hurtbox, startup, active ...) =))). Bigger hitbox definitely is a buff to priority

I saw the 5P buff but I don't understand what it means:
For now, 5P is totally useless ( whiff on crouching, on landing, on standing to crouching, on character who started jumping),  then what does a level 1 5P will change to my beloved Pot?

Well only thing good coming from the 5p buff is that we can extend combos somewhat to help get hard knockdowns on heat extend. Until it hits crouchers it's still pretty useless. All that love to Trish, I knew they would. Seems like pots getting the tager treatment, buffs that arent round winners in the long run.

Yeah, they gave him a new move so they want people to use it. All the other changes are superfluous for the most part.

5P change is a gigantic buff for Potemkin. Being able to do AA 5P -> f.S Heat is massive.

Trisula changes ... so it sounds like they extended the YRC window into the active frames? That's potentially very good. The important question is: Does the projectile remain if you YRC it like Gunflame, or does it disappear like Zato's drills? If it remains even if you YRC it, congratulations Potemkin, you just got one of the most obscenely powerful tools you've ever had. If it disappears on YRC, there is still potentially some very good utility here. It ducks under a number of DPs, and has more active time than many backdashes.

Hammerfall Priority, based on the wording I'm assume that this is an adjustment to either the forward hitbox or to when it swings or even possibly that it will slide forward farther while it swings. This is almost certainly a fix to the obnoxious issue it has where it will randomly not connect during combos where it should, like CH 5H -> Hammerfall, because it swings too early due to other player sliding back from pushback. Should be a minor annoyance fix, no complaints.

Homing Dash I am going to assume is 5D -> 6. Currently, Potemkin just walks forward. I'm guessing they are giving him a funny forward air dash to use here instead, so he will have better options off this in the corner.

Also likewise remember, ArcSys Loketest, the notes are incomplete and there will be more changes later, other things will be rolled back. But for now, this looks like nothing but good news to me.

The projectile stays, yeah.

And like I said before, Hammer Fall's "Priority" is a buff to its hitbox, which is now wider.

Concerning Trushila, do you guys use it? I found it very difficult to use or the context which it's supposed to be use. (in anti-air I use 6P or 2HS)
It's very slow on start up, I don't think the YRC on it will change the nature of this move.

So basically Pot can create a pillar of flame, YRC, and then do stuff while the pillar is still active?

 

Considering the Blitz Shield change of BS'd projectiles causing recoil to the person who threw the projectile if they're close enough to the opponent, this is a bit less of a buff maybe. But still definitely interesting as hell. Maybe I'm missing an application that isn't pure pressure (like I-No's chemical love corner stuff) though. I guess Trish would get better on defense too? I'm not 100% on how the change would impact defense though.

I'm sorry, what is f.S? I'm assuming that doesn't mean forward slash, especially since pot doesn't have a forward slash. And it doesn't look like anything too crazy was given to our boy, oh well. Wonder how long it'll take before these changes(if these are even the final changes) hit consoles.

 

At the very least, I hope trish becomes useful now.

Far Slash. The weird big salute poke. You get 5p f.S a lot because c.S has bad range, so this helps a lot with AA combos. It may allow father ranged combos off buster in the corner too, hard to say though.

Heat knuckle already hard knockdowns from most situations, as long as you are good at math.

Blitzshield's new anti projectile thing is going to depend a lot on how far away they have to be to trigger it.

Far slash. When you do a 5S and aren't right next to your opponent.

 

So you can tag somebody with 5P when they're in the air and then combo into far 5S and then Heat. It's purdy nice.

Oh ok, doesn't sound too bad of a buff. It's gonna be hard to tell how all these changes affect our boy and his match-ups, but as a dude who played UMVC3 for 3 years without a single patch I must say it feels good to play a video game that you know is going to get tweaked every now and then.

Couldn't you also combo 5P into 2S then?

 

EDIT: Guess I could have just looked at the wiki. Level 1 gives 12 frames of hitstun vs air and 2S has 14 frames of startup. No easy 6K corner combos off Buster > 5P. Blah.

 

Oh well, at least we get something meterless.

No. That is heat extend, heat knuckle is always techable and currently useless without extend.

I think the 5P change will let Potemkin air combo from anti air 5P and possibly 6P counter to 5P jump canceled air combo. (possibly throw in a hfb after counter 6P anti air to 5P for distance?)

Also I think the universal Blitz Shield buff is QUITE beneficial to potemkin, if it stops bs oki stuff like milla,venom,ram etc. Which I think it will.
