Clousephinat Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I'm going to work much harder and watch more stuff with Bedman, I kinda like it already in the beggining, but then after sometime you realize that about the 95% of footage I've watched it was only I-No's footage... Tehe. I'm pretty sure I have watched playing LOX as well but I don't remember when, I really have some catching up to do.
Jocelot Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I'm pretty sure I have watched playing LOX as well but I don't remember when, I really have some catching up to do. Fair enough man. Lemme see if I can find some LOX to freshen your memory. edit- well, there are about 6 sets of LOX vs Roi's Sol but I'll just start with the third one cuz it's the only one in my Xrd playlist: http://youtu.be/DesqzxHqJq0 Then there is LOX going against Isamu's Venom (I admit, it seems, at least initially LOX has problems dealing with Venom's shit) http://youtu.be/NzJ1caAbRnM Between LOX and Tsubu, LOX definitely feels like the more aggressive of the two. In certain matchups it seems like Tsubu likes to play keepaway with up back projectiles, even at the cost of getting negative penalty. Tsubu, however, seems like the only player trying to make use of Hemi Jack (boogieman stalker super) and seems to score more sneaky counter hit 1/2/3 HS (the underground stab attack). Both great players though.
Clousephinat Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Much obliged, LOW is indeed good, I like how he used Task C after the boomaerang seal and then he used it to be behind Sol and punish him with another Task C. Yeah, I'm sure Venom is going to be in fact the worst enemy of Bedman, his balls can easily keep Bedman in the corner and that's one of the main problems you get for being big, he can easily punish I-No's players like myself as well since hover dash makes it easier to be beaten and makes you realize that life is hard. I've seen Mitsuru doing the Nightmare overdrive as well, I guess it's more good than the other overdrive at least since you can't combo it, going to abuse of YRC quite a lot with him. EDIT: Oh, and by the way... I remember reading somewhere that Bedman has the same defense level than Potemkin, is this really so? It doesn't seem to be the case at least.
JCraile Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Oh, and by the way... I remember reading somewhere that Bedman has the same defense level than Potemkin, is this really so? It doesn't seem to be the case at least. Yes, you can probably confirm it here
Clousephinat Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Yes, you can probably confirm it here I've seen Bedman players losing a good amount of health though... The amount of damage before guts in Xrd must be like in #R if anything then.
SoWL Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Finally got to try this guy out today, and the bane of my existence is using Deja Vu right when the seal gets destroyed, leaving me wide open. Still tons of fun, I might sub him instead of Pot if the struggle gets too hard. Dunno if it's been mentioned anywhere, but you can hold his 3HS to increase its range even further, even making its hitbox taller. Maybe you can do the same by holding 1/2HS? I landed Hemi-Jack a couple of times against AI, and I feel that it's intended to be used against full-screen cheeseballs, like stance Axl or Ky. After all, it even teleports Bedman directly before opponent when it lands. Also, I suppose it's more difficult to punish it at that range (and it takes less time to approach the opponent). I also noticed that his 6HS has the same teleport animation as his dash, so could it have some invuls/guard points, too? I might've traded with it when I shouldn't have, not sure. Oh, and he makes Nobita eyes in dizzy state, haha.
Clousephinat Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I'm not sure about this, 2D (if that's the correct notation) can be used to block projectiles, or it was thanks to the boomerang just before returning to Bedman?
Jocelot Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I'm pretty sure it was the ball returning to Bedman, yeah. And '2D' would be his sweep with crouching Dust. Did you by chance mean 6P, or am I crazy?
Clousephinat Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 If that's it, yeah, since I didn't know about Bedman normals inputs for being a new character. I guess the boomerang head has more hitbox than I though, Pot players will surely suffer against him.
capcom is ass Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 6HS ベッドマンが高速で突進して攻撃 消えてる間はどうやら打撃無敵がある模様で、リバサの昇龍にも勝てたりする ガードされても、めり込まなければ反確も無い様に思えるし必殺技・覚醒でキャンセルも可能だが 至近距離で出すと裏回るためタスクとデジャブで必殺技入力が混乱しやすい またこの裏回りを利用して起き攻めにめくり攻撃が可能だが、投げには無力なため注意 high speed attack? has a guard point, beats wakeup DP at point blank range it can be used to cancel into tasks or deja vus its possible to use it on ppls wakeups for mixup potential but be careful about getting thrown out of it thats the gist but someone please check my translations im ass
SoWL Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Yeah, sounds correct to me. At least it all makes sense after seeing it in-game.
capcom is ass Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 random tidbit I have not seen mentioned: when you use 6h and it happens to crossup, your cancel input should be done as if you are on the original side you started the attack from. (the input autocorrects, if you will) for example if im on 1p side and I hit a small combo into task b rc then 6h, more often than not you end up on the other side of the opponent. when this happens, input 236hs in order get task c. if you do 214hs, he will do deja vu. just an fyi for those of you anxious to play Sent from my SC-03E using Tapatalk 2
Clousephinat Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I wasn't expecting you could use the boomerang head as a combo after Task C, looks good! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABnppoXbxq0
S2rulL Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 So I was wondering who I'm gonna main when Xrd is released, and my friend linked me to some Tsubu gameplay saying "Look at how fucking stupid Bedman looks lol". This first thing that game across my mind was that he kinda reminds me of the first boss from KH:CoM (my favourite game of all time) and my response was "I'm totally playing this guy..."
S2rulL Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Any notable players other than Tsubu to watch???
Clousephinat Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 There's also Mitsuru, I guess he must be new into GG? At any rate, one of the best Bedman I've seen so far.
D.R.F. Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 So have we gotten all the bedman data into the wiki?:0
Jocelot Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 So have we gotten all the bedman data into the wiki?:0 Guess not. I was actually very tempted to do it myself since the original site is surprsingly easy to understand (especially since I don't know any Japanese). But then I figured if I did attempt to add to the wiki, I'd fuck something up. Think I'll wait a bit longer. Also, speaking of Frame Data, nice to see some concrete info on Task C (aka Bed Body Slam). Only -2 so not bad at all, and at max height the move is actually +3 on block! I didn't even know the altitude of the move affected the frame data, very nice.
SoWL Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Here's the wiki entry on Hemi-Jack: A super that summons an eerie sheep demon behind the opponent. The sheep is an unblockable projectile that slowly moves towards the opponent, and is almost guaranteed to cause stun on hit. However, the sheep disappears if it is hit by the opponent's attack. Although the sheep is quite powerful when it's out, the move's overall duration is very long, so it's difficult to find a use for it. It might be useful to YRC it after the screen dims. Yeah, nothing new here. They don't even say that it teleports Bedman.
The Magnet Technician Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 I began editing the wiki. Currently the data on his normals are on there, I will be getting to the special moves later. Here's the spreadsheet his frame data's on. This is my first time editing the wiki, sorry if I made any mistakes.
D.R.F. Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 What do you guys think of the ways Tsubu uses Hemi-Jack? Do you think it is worth the effort? Idk personally it is pretty scary if we can lay down all that pressure with the sheep lurking behind all that. It does seem had to set up though
Jocelot Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 What do you guys think of the ways Tsubu uses Hemi-Jack? Do you think it is worth the effort? Idk personally it is pretty scary if we can lay down all that pressure with the sheep lurking behind all that. It does seem had to set up though Yeah I'm not sure. Against Potemkin I found it weird that Tsubu kept going for Hemi Jack since Pot has a pretty much gaurenteed escape away from it for only 25 meter (ICPM yrc). I guess its worth for the auto stun and free teleport but I dunno. Hemi Jack still seems kinda gimmicky until some concrete tech is discovered for it. It will surely come when console version releases though.
Mumm-Ra Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Why do people say that deja vu task a prime isn't good, when I see it being overused by Tsubu all day? It's almost like an YRC of sorts.
