Hi gundam fans! I am a fan of the Gundam VS series since the Zeta DX period!

I believe I am above the average if not a considered as a pro. 70% Win rate at EXVS online. 68% Win rate for EXVS FB. 70% for MAXI BOOST.

Ask me anything and I will try my best to help you guys improve!

I sincerely wish that overseas players can get better at this game too!

For your info! I have attached my own records of Maxi boost just to show u guys that I am not some random snake oil :D

Awesome stats! Welcome to Dustloop also!

Thanks! You can ask me anything about this game :D

I realize that overseas players are getting better by themselves. But then i would like to give everyone a little push!

I don't wanna see this EXVS community die..

Since this game is really not that newbie friendly.

Nice to meet you KYSF! (Do you mind if I use this abbreviation?  If not, please let me know, no disrespect intended)

I don't have the game yet, but I will in a month's time.  So this is coming from a player who played EXVS fairly often, but hasn't transitioned into FB just yet due to university constraints :(

Out of curiosity, how many "mains" do you have, and how many did you play when you started out?  I have a problem deciding on suits I wanna play, I primarily go off the tier list but there's so many interesting suits I enjoy.  How do you narrow it down?

Also, I made a thread earlier regarding Burst choices for 3000s, I would appreciate any advice you could offer:

You can call me anything you want!

For now. I main mostly Strike Freedom and Brave commander in Maxi Boost. I main Rx78 in Full Boost with SF, Freedom, Noir and dynames.

I don't know what was my mains when i started out. Since i started during the Zeta DX period. I pretty much know everything about the system when EXVS was released on PS3. The cloest answer would be Strike Freedom as 3K IJ as 2.5K and RX78 as 2K.

I say its best to play some simple suits like RX78 first. Try to build up your skills.. then move to some more complicated MS.

As for newbie friendly> Rx78 for 2K. Noir/Freedom/IJ for 2.5K Xi Gundam and Unicorn for 3K

When you think that you are good enough for some more complicated MS. You can go reborns or wing zero *TV* (The most OP suit out there with 2500 Banshee)

Those 3 are the strongest suit in FB EXVS

Hope my answer helps!

As a strike freedom player, what specific tactics do you use with funnels?

Are there any particular mechs which you think people underestimate the strength of?

Is there any particular reason you dont main any 1k/1.5k? How do you feel about the 1k->1.5k change in maxi boost? Is 1.5k+2k the new best team comp for 1.5k?

Do you think any stages besides Side 7 are good?

As a Strike Freedom Player. I use the dragoons in 2 different ways. And it depends on the situation.

If the enemy is not being too agressive and the game is more of a mid range shooting war. I will deploy them out to distract or poke the enemy.

If the enemy or I am going to charge in for close combat. I will be hanging them around me as a protection.

Lets say master gundam is trying to melee me around the corner and there is literally little to no way of escape. The funnels around me can act as a melee preventer and save my life from such situation.

I dont main any 1/1.5 since i am always the one who leads the attack and storm the front. Which is why i play 3K cost mostly.

The changes from 1K to 1.5K is actually good. Since back then 1K can die 6 times lol. And they can fill up almost half of the ex everytime you kill them once. It was really frustrating and now that they have the F/S drive they wouldnt want the 1K cost to have 5 drives per game.

Over all the change is good but then now that the made this change.. 2K cost is really kinda worthless to use.. lol

I believe that the best comp is still 3K + 2.5K or 2.5K plus 1.5K

About the stages. Its more of a tradition than which one is best or better. The japs always pick the first stage when it comes to PVP matches. Same thing back then in Seed/Seed-D GVG/GVG-NEXT

As for Burst Choices.

Most MS should go for Blast due to the fact that it is longer and better since you can rainbow step cancel for almost anything.
But if you are playing as Master gundam or some other melee MS. Assualt might be better due to the fastened melee attacks and damage buff.

During assualt you can also use your EX ability without consuming all of your burst bar!

Is the JP community as bad, Im currently sitting in a room of 2 teams with some of the best players I know from vanilla all picking S-tier trying not to sit against eachother so they can farm WR.  I appreciate the practice because I know my partner but still.

Recently in Japan, the community is being retarded...

They are just washing WR everyday. You can see people with over 90% win rate with over 500 games.. Which is pretty impossible.

Me and my partner came across people who wash WR by themselves. They literally just pay for both his own game and the opponents game and ask the opponent to just lose the game at the end. Same thing in JP.

In the very end it doesnt matter.. *Linkin Park XP*

Me and my partner went down and had a 11 win straight against that guy with almost 90% win rate.

I will try to upload some videos sooner or later. But then the quality wouldn't be that good compared to nico's. Since we dont have an output device in the arcades here. All i can do is use my phone/camera to record down my own replays

Maxi Boost Arcade's related.
This November I will go to Japan a few weeks, I will need to sign up and buy or whatever the Player Card or can I play without it?
Maybe a best question is, Can you explain me how works the player card? Thanks

You dont need a card to play the game. The card is actually like a "save card" which saves your battle records and provides some extra service on the internet. Like having a tag with a partner, tag names, personal icons, Hud skin...etc etc. But in order to use those functions, you would have to pay 300 yen per month on top of buying that card.
