I want to know is there a patch or something that allows you to use Ex-Characters in training mode? There are many people that are saying that they wont play me unless I enable Ex-Char. I have no desire of playing Ex-Char, but since I have to face them on some occasions, I want to see their moves and capabilities. From what I have seen so far Ex-Testament is a beast.

ok, new symptom for the game. the game screen pops up, but nothing loads after that. I get a black screen without the data loading message. this is with patch 1.15. I can confirm that it does not work for me with version 1.20 as of yet. Also, just so I can make sure, when it never loaded, in the task manager, the ggxx.exe process was only using up about 5000K (this was with version 1.20). when it works without the patch it uses around 28000K. ok, so it work again. aparently I can only play at night seriously. and now I cant save any data. yep, problem is back. never work during the mornings anymore. I'll confirm if i can play at night.

Ok, it happened again. with version 1.15-3 it opens the screen but nothing loads and it just stays black. It freezes before it finishes loading.

I actually have something similar with mine where if I play full screen it can take literally five minutes to load. It stays on the black screen for a while, but it doesn't actually freeze like yours does. Works fine in window mode, though. =/

I have mine on window mode. I'm ganna end up just restoring my PC to factory settings and reinstall everything *shrugs* I've been meaning to do it anyway.

Every time I try to watch a match that player status changes to "No Response" and then back to "busy(casting)" and on some occasions it never goes back to "busy(casting)" no matter how many time I click on a player I'm never able to view a match.

You just gotta keep trying. Often times, it takes me over 10 attempts before I eventually connect to the broadcast. From my experiences, it'll work immediately if the players fighting have super-good ping with you. More specifically, I found that if you'll have a better chance of succeeding if you try to watch the player who has a better ping with you. For example, two people are playing; one has 70 ping, while the other has 100 ping. It seems to me that if you select the 70 ping person, you're more likely to be able to watch.

Today many times I got the Sync Error message. What does it exactly mean, what causes it, and how to possibly avoid it?

i really hope someone can help me with this... a friend of mine in London can get to the lobby screen and see all the list of the players there but he cant seem to connect with anyone. all of the names appear to be grey and 'no response'. . anyone ever encounter such a problem? can anyone recommend me any fix for it? he's using patcher v1.20-2, disabled his firewall, got ip of 138.xx.xxx.xx, using his University accommodation hall's internet. (i'm using Uni's internet as well though i'm in different Uni in the UK, I can play w no problem. ithink he got different ISP though)

I just tried 1.20-2.... I get more delay with anyone now Still not able to watch games except for only a few people. Whats with the Tommyknockers color??

Hey, I just got my friend online with this game, but when he goes to the VS Net screen the numbers and letters are jumbled. Whats up with that? He has vista so i dont know how to even begin to fix it (I have XP)

^ Probably... he got some video card settings like anti alias or whatever on, which jumbles up text a bit. You can try open ggxxnet.ini and increase the font size there see if it helps.

I have a problem too. I also can get to the character screen, but than appears that ******* black screen. I use a cable modem. Does it have something with ports? Can somebody please post a detail instructions. I really don't know anything about ports. How to forward ports correctly, is there a program or something??? How to find o corrent port to enter in GGXXnet config? Please help. And if it's important location, I am from central Europe.

i dunno abut cable modems, but i know ADSL modems u need to go into ur router settings (via ie or firefox etc.) to open ports. im guessing its the same for cable modems

default port used by ggxxnet is 10000 so u need to open that. u can change the 10000 to something else in ggxxnet_config.exe, but whatever it is, it needs to be opened

go to http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm and find ur router there, it should tell u how to open ports

i use FRAPS, really simple and amazing quality the only problem is it records slow, so you have to speed it up using another program, for that i use sony vegas

Are u sure it works with GG? The only games on pc that I was able to record with fraps were the once running with Kega Emulator (Sega Genesis Games).

Anyway I will try it and see what happens.

People, for some reason, after some time of not playing, I decided to update the GGXX Net thing. But now, when I'm in the lobby, I rarely get people with white letters (or Idle, I think). I see a lot of green ones, but that's it. Help? And yes, ports are opened. I opened them when I first played this thing.

Doesn't sound like there's a problem. If the letters are green, it means the person is playing someone else. You might just have to wait a bit, until someone finishes a match.

Dude, I used to see like... like 4 or 5 people with Idle status everytime. Now I rarely see one of those... and for some reason: -Shit doesn't load after choosing chars. -Game runs slower than it should. The GGXX Net patch hates me now :/ or something
