It has no uses outside combos then... D ID hitbox is bad enough to not allow decent frametraps.

If air DID had FC properties, you could atleast try TK DP shenanigans, but ah well. Probably easier to just stick to 5C > 6C punishes anyway.

Unless it gets called out or is a really slow recovery move (like ID), I dont see people having time to punish it... it's a DP motion plus having time to recognize and react.

But dont worry, I'm sure ASW had a reason to put FC on it, and we can figure it out.

Um yeah a 7F move that FC sounds like a pretty good punish option to me...I bet there are decent amount of moves that can punish where FC 2C, or 5C couldn't.

I bet you can FC ID(D) on reaction if another Ragna does a ground scythe.

That doesn't count as an actual OD combo lol, all jiyuna did was OD -> 5D DBD. It's clear that OD combo theory hasn't been worked out yet.

Not to mention cancel into OD reduces the time, as mentioned. I'm thinking the juicy stuff will probably come from doing RC combos into OD activations. Stuff like HF > Tsuika > RC > OD or 2D > RC > OD.

7f only for the very first part of the move (The hilt hit). Actual uppercut comes out much later, and has a very vertical hitbox.

Now D ID will be feared people, really feared.

PD: a 7f tecnique with FC proprerty sounds like there will be some kind of nerf, probably on speed or hitbox, or the both.

We're talking about guaranteed FC ID(D) punishes on block here (at least I was). There is no try *yoda voice*

I think it's application will be situational, but we haven't seen the damage off it yet either so we can't really be sure how strong it is.

I honestly doubt its anywhere as good as the former 2c was. It certainly would have a few area's where it would be better. But rag lost a safe FC frame trap, He lost safe FC throw bait set ups(if they dont abc option select) and a semi-legit FC poke in place of a 7-frame ultra punishable ok anti air.

Generally the DID FC punish would only be truly safe if the opponent doesn't have 50 meter and/or you do and in that case the punish won't necessarily be guaranteed and you wouldn't be able to continue pressure for free if by some chance its blocked. I mean if you have balls of diamond you can use it as a poke but unless it hits at least 6k dmg for free its not that good. Then again the we weren't talking about if its better than the old 2c which was great.

Here we see another normal, ground hit ID© 1st hit RC.

It appears to be untechable til they reach the ground (unless he just wasn't teching, which I doubt) so that's cool.

and from other recent posts it seems to be the same for cross up air ID 1st hit RC, at least they fall so low that 3C will hit. I guess I'll actually try to get good at using that finally :v:
