I'm usually online most of the time, but it depends on how much work I have to do for my class. The character I mainly use is Rise. I don't have a mic but I hope that's ok. I would totally go for this but the last time I saw you in a lobby it was a 2 bar connection.
roamemento Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I don't know if I'm too new, I tried out melty blood back in 2009 and the actress again sequel in 2010. I never learned combos though. I got P4 Arena 2 months ago, and I used to main Akihiko. I'm playing P4U2 and still maining Akihiko, but I want to learn how to use shadow Kanji as well. I tried out going to some online matches after trying out the game for 2 days, I say I don't do too bad, but I can't deal with grapples for the life of me. I want to know how to check how many bars my connection has in P4U2, and also, what does the card before your name in online matches mean? Mine's white, and I see many green from others.

White means you haven't played enough for the game to calculate your skill level yet. I think that the closer to red the color is, the better the player is. Also, for some stupid reason, you can't check your connection in arcade lobbies, though it should be possible in Player Match rooms.

Alas, I checked my internet signal, and it's 0 bars, that's what I get for being in a household who is adamant on keeping the worst internet provider in town rather than the cheaper and much faster one . Since I have my connection like that, I can't really do the Caeasar anti-air or sweep as Akihiko, it happens like a second after input. Grabs still own me .

I also apologize for being kinda slow to accepting a fight, I'm a pretty hesitant,awkward person so I'm not sure when it's appropriate to fight or not (Cause I'm always afraid someone's gonna say 'NO YOU DUMBASS IT'S NOT YOUR TURN', well maybe except for the dumbass part) I had fun though!

heavymetalmixer Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 . . .And a note about stages: while some of us have fairly good connexions and will use some of the new stages, please pick either the Music Room or the school at night (P4A version, Mitsuru's stage) for our collective sanity. Spectator lag is a thing, so just because it hasn't been a problem before doesn't mean it won't be a problem during a match, and I, for one, become quite annoyed when a match turns laggy. Let intros fully load. I know it's dull to listen to the opening quotes repeatedly ("I won't lose," "Let's go, no holds barred," etc.) but it's vital. No one will kick you for shaky Internet -- heavy is one of my favourite opponents despite geography making some lag a given -- but they will if you flaunt stage choice and loading requirements because "we have a good connexion." (Those words are just begging for a lag spike.) I don't want to be a dictator and I know everyone just wants to play, but if you want to build good habits, then choosing appropriate stages and letting intros load is vital. I find myself panicking too much during matches due to not knowing what to do in certain situations. I've been practicing combos so I don't think I'm that terrible.
