Antaiseito Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 BBCP2.0 ... didn't they add a rematch button in P4U? ... :3
heavymetalmixer Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 BBCP2.0 = more Makoto nerfs!?! GET HYPED! It's pitiful to see her know . . . I wouldn't care CS2 Makoto again.
ElegantShadow Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Well, I'm in the process of checking out the scan for any new factoids, so if no one else posts them, I will. EDIT: Yeah, doesn't seem like there's that much stuff for now. Celica: - The anti-air move is a special called Ash Rotir. - Her OD lets her heal herself. - She's made easy to pick up since people might be interested in Celica despite being afraid of BB's difficulty. Lambda: - Built around her Act Parser Zwei. The main purpose of the Drive is to stop opponent's advance, connect it into Zwei and get going from there. These leaks are almost never fake, especially when we get new character artwork and screenshots. Hope dies last, I suppose. Hmm... With that information in mind, I expect that Act Parser Zwei (Not Blade? :o) will be a bit more... free in use. Hmm... That makes me think that Lambda's Swords will also have more hit-stun than before, or that Zwei will be able to cancel into more than Calamity Sword and Grab. BBCP2.0 = more Makoto nerfs!?! GET HYPED! Now, now. Let's not be negative. I mean, who knows? They may buff Makoto and give her a 20% chance at Acorn Taunt.
TekkamanArk Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 BBCP2.0 = more Makoto nerfs!?! GET HYPED! I know, right? Why do they keep beating up a low tier?
AchedSphinx Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I know, right? Why do they keep beating up a low tier? She's still answering her crimes from BBCS.
SoWL Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Famitsu article The fact that even this post got moved here makes me even more confused about the purpose of this thread. Or the main one, for that matter.
Tokkan Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 The fact that even this post got moved here makes me even more confused about the purpose of this thread. Or the main one, for that matter. GunBlazer's post was always here; it was never moved. It was someone else who posted it in News and Discussion.
mAc Chaos Posted July 16, 2014 Author Posted July 16, 2014 I'm guessing he posted it in case they didn't see it.This thread is for all the "I hope they do X" "That move looks neat" "I'm going to play Celica" "Minerva's wearing Tao-like sleeves" "It better not cost money" "I wonder what Lambda's style will be like" type comments. The other thread is just for discussing the facts of the news article, ie, there's going to be two new characters and BBCP2, etc. You might think that basically rules everything out and it does in a way because there's not much to go on when they make these announcements. So instead everything else goes here.
Luminos564 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 So they removed Luna Forma from Nu-13's repertoire and remade Lamb-chops from it, yeah? Could that mean Nu-13 loses access to Calamity Sword and Lamb-chops no longer has access to Legacy Edge since those DDs were stance-restricted? If that is the case, I think we could potentially see ASW add a whole new DD for them each.

Though I think the idea of a new super for either of them is awesome.
NecroTheReaper Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Its still bothering me with the multitude of easy to play characters, they're insistant on making Celica beginner friendly. Also, to date, I have not shown BB to anyone random and have them pick any character but Ragna or Jin in their first few seconds. People playing this game for the first time are strangely more drawn to the guys than the women, at least from my experience. Also makes me concerned if they're so obsessed with making it easier, when are they just gonna do away with stylish mode and slam it into technical like they do with P4A auto combos -_- (no offense)

I like your idea with regards to stylish.

So that takes you to Ragna and Jin every time. And they probably want to feel badass in a fighting game so they pick the guys instead of kawaii~uguu girl characters.
pokemonblaze234 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Well if they do do a retail game then those people that bought bbcp cuz of evo are gonna be pissed.
Luminos564 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 People playing this game for the first time are strangely more drawn to the guys than the women, at least from my experience. I dunno, I think it just varies on groups. I had a bunch of non-FG friends of mine try CS and most were drawn to Makoto, Lambda-11 and Noel. I personally always wanted to main a female character but never could get a handle on most of them to be any good so was stuck with Haku-men until BBCP where I changed it up to Azrael. I like Ragna and Jin, but not enough to immediately gravitate to them. Strictly speaking of Celica and Lambda, I find them interesting enough to want to try them. Celica gets points in my book because I happen to enjoy her presence in the story (most of the time anyway) and what current screenshots depict appeals to me. Lamb-chops was always my #2 favorite Murakumo after Mu-12 so I am curious how she'll be different from Nu-13 now. Whether or not I can actually use them will be made clear in due time. Is BBCP2 going to be a patch or retail.game? No info yet. About that, if you guys are willing to humor me: what if BBCP2 is the final entry? When asked on the story progress, Mori stated that BBCP marks the 80% mark and it carried a sense of finality for certain characters. Roster's just about huge right now and I can't really think of them adding many more characters barring 2~3 (maybe 4 if we're lucky) unless of course they start removing/replacing some of them. Of course, I could (and most likely am) wrong on this front, but that's one of the reasons I can see another retail version being released. Or at least not garner as much hate.

Mori said in an interview that he was going to take a year as a "recharging" period for BB. After the announcement of this update, he clarified that he was talking about the "numbering titles" in the interview and is sorry for the confusion. ... but Mori is a lair so we will have to wait and see. Monarch Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Can someone show me the new character select screen?
Luminos564 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Yeah, always do remember that Mori hands out lies like he's handing out business cards. "Celica can't fight"? This came right after Rise was announced as playable. Glad I never believed him. But thanks for posting it. Strangely, I am not as angry as I should be about a potential retail release. BBCP's localization was..."poor" in my opinion. 6 months taken between the JPN and NA release and many issues were present. Perhaps they can take this opportunity to fix them? Or at least not make them as apparent as they were. Naturally, this is hypothetical. They might just do a patch for the balancing and release Celica and Lambda separately as DLC. And I somehow doubt ASW will ever do what Capcom did for the later versions of SSF4. Can someone show me the new character select screen? http://i.imgur.com/g5dh1OU.png Thank Zedar90 for posting it in the News thread.
Kyosuke Kagami Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 As much as I'm having faith in ASW, I honestly hope BBCP2 is just another FUCKING PATCH and not a standalone game. I don't give 2 rats' asses about Celica's or Lamby's arcade modes, as long as they're playable and I get the new stages and balance. I mean, if the original arcade BBCP will be upgraded to BBCP2, i don't see how the PS3 version wouldn't. Also, contradicting myself, if they announce BBCP2 for PS4 (AKA a totally different console) and also release a patch for the PS3 version, I'm okay with that.
Zedar90 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Best case scenario that I can see is that, A free update for PS3/Vita version, with Celica and Lambda as DLC. And a stand alone version with all DLC characters plus stages and BGM, and other single player bonuses added for PS3/PS4/Vita.
swordsman09 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Let's not forget guys. CS2 in arcades is basically what Extend is on consoles. I sadly think this will most likely be CPEX.

Akujikan Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 This news is actually really interesting to me. While the removal of Nu's mode-change is justified since Lambda will be back and will play much more like her close-range variant (Luna Forma, was it?), I think giving Nu amnesia and scrambling her new (and vastly more interesting) tool box is a shame. That said, the idea of making Lambda a super aggressive character with spacing tools made for approach (i.e. Hazama and his drive) is pretty cool. I honestly don't know what to make of Celica. Silly characters have never really appealed to me much and if those screens make her look like anything, its silly. The concept of you taking control of Minerva and using Celica as the puppet for her magic support would actually be really interesting, but I really doubt that's the direction they're going with her. Frankly I dropped BB after Extend and had very little desire to pick up CP (and haven't thus far), but a balance change up with the addition of Lambda makes me think that I may just throw my hat back into the ring. I haven't done much with fighters in general this past year or so, but this resurgence with Xrd, UNIEL and now this is pretty exciting. I'll be keeping a very close eye on this For the record, I wouldn't mind an all-DLC-inclusive PS4 port of this one bit.
