Dacidbro Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Yeah, you don't have to, but it gives you much more time to link the 2B. If you sjc, you can 623B right off the ground.
Tsuuna Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 New 4-Seal combo on Tager, far as I'm aware. The one in this thread seems impractical to start with a 6D, so I improvised. 2D > sj.D > C-nail > j.D > C-nail > d.5C > 5D > sj.623B > 5B > [623C setup] 3395 damage. Enjoy.
Dacidbro Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 6D is a popular answer to Tager's questionable block strings. Having more 4 seals against a character where you have a loop in FRKZ that keeps them grounded is always a plus though. :yaaay:
Tsuuna Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Forreal? 6D feels so unsafe on his blockstrings. Maybe I'm paranoid. I've never tried it..
Dacidbro Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 IB 6D will interrupt just about anything he could want to do, just don't try it on his overheads or you're eating 4k.
rei-Scarred Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 after about 2 6Ds you'll be looking at a 360 next time
Tsuuna Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Sounds about right. I always preferred 2D over 6D anyhow. Saves me a lot more often, too.
rei-Scarred Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Well actually I greatly prefer 5D to stop Tager's blockstring stuff cause it works everywhere 6D works but you get better combos off of it and if you Yomi his 360 you can just C teleport to safety which doesnt work with 6D iirc 2D doesnt work anywhere unless he does something really slow like 6D/6C and actually dont worry about your average every day Tager 360ing your 6D. Only the pros do that. 5A even interrupts it though so =|
Dacidbro Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Yeah, I'm pretty sure Mike Z gave me a 360 for it once, but all the other times I made sure to use it on a part of the blockstring he always gatlings to another attack, so I was safe 95% of the time.
Tsuuna Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Oh, well I didn't quite mean I preferred 2D on Tager. Sorry for the lack of clarity. For Tager's blockstrings yeah, I do much prefer 5D, on just about any oncoming sledge of possibly a 5C or whatever he's getting reedy to do. Every once in a while, they might mash 5A and I get counterhit out of my teleport. That makes me rage a little.

Try teleporting late, sometimes that makes him whiff the one that would normally hit you.
Tsuuna Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Since I've been doing nothing but playing with combos for hours, I discovered this, too. Pretty impractical, especially the start. I just think it's cool honestly. 2369B* > d.5C > 6A > 623B > d.2B > 623B > Daifunka 5186 Damage
Dacidbro Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 "Pretty impractical" I lol'd. Tiger Knee B nail hitting explosion to start a combo is "pretty impractical".
rei-Scarred Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 I get it, cause it would be pretty and impractical
Senxo Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Since I've been doing nothing but playing with combos for hours, I discovered this, too. Pretty impractical, especially the start. I just think it's cool honestly. 2369B* > d.5C > 2A > 623B > d.2B > 623B > Daifunka 5186 Damage I dont know if its just me. But when I do something basic like..5d, j.a, j.b, dj.a, dj.b, 623b I started trying to mix it up by dropping the 623b and throwing a B nail. A lot of the times people will tech backwards, and since I'm so far by then, wait until they hit the ground and regroup their thoughts. Aside from that, most of the time people dont notice the nail is a B at that height. Because of that if they are blocking they block the explosion and I get free pressure again, and if they aren't blocking and are ready to attack the explosion hits them in the back of the head. I'm 99.99% sure this is just me getting lucky on newby players, but your combo is a great addition lol. Impractical as it may be =p
Dacidbro Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 But would the d5C hit if they were anywhere off the ground? PS on 5D you can do 5D jB 623B 5A 5B jA jB 623B (5A or 5C trap) for better oki better damage than what you listed.

I forget if the damage is any better off the top of my head, but there's also 5D>j.B>623B>5B>2B>j.B>j.C as a good oki option.
Dacidbro Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Good call I'm going to guess better damage, just gauging by the general "5B 2B is more than 5A 5B" pretty much always. :] But I really like the 5C trap.

Thanks tho. The one after this with the j.c ender I will have to try. About the d5c hitting, it does but its a little tricky (at least for me) to get there in time.
Maker Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 I apologise in advance if this is already old news. Awkward Rachel only (as far as i know 100% bar / No nails for 5199 damage. Fairly simple but fast execution) 6B, RC. j.D, 2B, 623B, 2363214C *note* works on tager without the D after the cancel for 49** damage. Naturally id assume (but have not tested) anything of the standard 2B pickup works. 6C, into air combo does work on Rachel not tested on tager or the other cast members as of yet. [Edit sorry about the confusion]

This had me confused, until I realized the D you have isn't a 5D. Please fix that. I that would technically be a j.D. And.. Yeah I think this was posted, or at least something similar.

ShoMeYaMoves Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Go easy on the guy, he wanted to help :v Yeah, didn't mean to sound harsh. Going out of my mind now though, at a friend's house without BB.
