After being in training for about 30 minutes, there are some things I wanted to say.

- j.C has a strange vortex in that it causes you and the opponent to move downward at a fast rate. This probably explains why the 6B > j.B > j.C > 6A route is possible

- Be careful about how precisely you press D, because I've noticed that I press D again forgetting additional hits come out by itself, and the combo is ruined because 5D comes out instead.

- Regarding the opponent remaining standing during 236236D: you can choose to either pick them up with 5D > j.2D > DDDD > j.214D for about 2K, or establish oki with a late 236D as the Distortion is ending.

I'll post more things as I find them. (Disclaimer: ENG VA the god)

I'm part of a Nu/Lambda Skype group if anybody wants in. It's both characters right now because it was originally a 1.1 Nu group, and we decided it was easiest to not split up the D spammers. We'll see if people want to split up later on. Please PM me if you want to join.

Also, I'm loving getting air ender off what seems like any random standing hit. Really handy, although Lambda seems to also have way better options.

She is definitely fun. Anyone mind helping me our with how Lambda pressure works? Not really sure how to do it or what to do besides random 6Bs. Also how optimal are challenge mode combos? I've been doing them and they seem pretty nice but I feel like there's more. Basically I'm asking for optimized stuff lol. Haven't played her since CSE so I'm kinda lost on just about everything lol. Some help with neutral would be nice too

In terms of combos, I believe this combo video GunBlazer posted earlier is a good starting place. We might find more optimal stuff later but for now, it might be best to just use what we have now so we can focus more on getting good with her neutral and pressure. Haven't looked into her pressure since I'm waiting until after my vacation to start messing around with Lambda. Hopefully, it involves a lot of 236D oki because I always thought it was cool from my perspective of being on the receiving end of it ^,^

only works on crouching if you're doing it from an A starter.

I'm still figuring out how it works, but my goal so far has been to get them stuck in a 236D, and then go for the 236A > Throw/22D mixup ,dash up 236A > crossup 5D, or try to setup a 4D somehow.

Also, 2B is your friend in stagger pressure.

I need to find reliable ways to reset pressure with Lambda. Otherwise, they'll just be able to wait out my pressure and get a few turn. Stagger pressure will be handy. Is it possible to do a safe-ish (ie not like a 20 frame gap) blockstring into 236D?

There's really no other way around it, besides conditioning the opponent.

I'm still not sure how well I like changing 5B to the old 6B. On the other hand, it's nice and big and an okayish anti-air, but on the other hand, you can low-profile it with next to no trouble. I'm using it basically like I used the old 5B, but I'm not sure I'm using it in the right way. Thoughts?

I hate it. Having the old 5B be back would be a godsend, it was great for stagger pressure, tick grabs, and TRM setups. The new one is just blockstring and combo filler, and also a good combo starter. I can't say I've tried using it as an anti air before, that's a new one.

It hasn't really been a go-to antiair for me, but I've pressed it and they jumped at it for whatever reason and it's beaten out more than you would expect.

I'm a bit late on this, but:

What happens if you rapid cancel after landing a drive?  I'd hope all the swords still come out; that would be one thing she'd have over Nu.

Can't rapid until the second sword comes out as far as I could tell.

Darn.  Really, what they need to do to make her drive different from Nu's is to allow her ways to cancel out of the animation on-hit, while allowing all the swords to still come out; similar to Izayoi's charged projectile.

If you want to sideswap midscreen, you can combo into A gravity > 665C 6C delay 236C. The delay on 236C determines whether or not you'll swap sides, and you can follow up with 2D/whatever you want after it to keep a knockdown.

I didn't test yet but I feel like this would be very character specific. How much chars did you test this on?

I tested it on Ragna and Jin at the time. Finals are done so I'll have time to finally lab this and other stuff up... If I can pull myself from GTA V. ^^;

Corner Side Swap Combo:

5B > 3C > 214A > 6A > 5C > 6C > 236A > 236C > 2D > 5D > JC > j.5D > j.6D > j.214D (4170, +37)

Corner Carry Variation:

5B > 3C > 214C > 66 > 6A > 5C > 6C > 236A > 236C > 2D > 5D > JC > j.5D > j.6D > j.214D (4170, +37)

Personally, I find the Corner Carry variation easier to pull of. The Side Swap variation is more desirable since you get to set up oki afterwards, but the timing is finicky on certain characters.

Hello, I like to start playing Lambda because looks pretty fun. What should be my initial strategy when playing her? Do I zone, play defensively and punish or do rushdown, and use swords to keep my opponent in place? Sorry for asking such silly question, I just don't know how exactly I should play her.

Well, her tools are more suited towards a defensive playstyle, but it all depends on you. You can use swords to prevent people from getting in on you and keeping them at bay, or use swords to cover your approach and pressure. We don't have much in terms of solid pressure or mixup, which is why zoning is the usual go to choice.

Frost, where exactly is the sideswap in your sideswap variant?

When you do 236A, Lambda should be out of the corner, and when 236C connects the opponent should have their back to the corner.
