xJakartax Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Does anyone know how to complete mission 15? Sol does the DP, I kick, and then it says I failed. I don't get what I'm actually supposed to accomplish. Anyone figured it out?
king of heart Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Jus stay close but not too close and hit K > S > 2D
Fatalis Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 You're just doing a meaty attack. You have to hit K right before he gets up and then do the combo they listed (K > S > 2D). You want to hit Sol before he can do his DP, you have to walk up a bit each time.
xJakartax Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 Gotcha. I'll try it out when I get home. Thank you!
Mumm-Ra Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Some of these are really hard to S rank, I cannot reversal consistently to save my life, and even if I mash during the Recovery one I get black beat lol.
SoWL Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 and even if I mash during the Recovery one I get black beat lol. This is the mission that I'm having trouble with. Even if I set my pad to Turbo, it still misses the recovery window. Am I supposed to recover in a certain direction, or is the window really that small?

stickystaines Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Doing the Zato mission was probably the hardest for me to complete. Not only is doing reversal blitz shield a ballache, when i did get it i would miss the reversal throw a lot of the time. Just managed to barely pass that one.
Final Ultima Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 For those of you struggling with the Recovery mission, remember that forward and backward tech are faster than neutral tech. Just mashing buttons won't be enough if you don't hold a direction.
SoWL Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Now I'm stuck on the "Accurate Input" mission, mostly because there's no demonstration and I just have no idea what I'm supposed to do
Mumm-Ra Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Accurate inputs is just running until the "perform a Long dash!" lights up, it teaches you how acceleration affects momentum and combos, you cannot connect the combo they want you to do unless you're going fast enough. no idea what the heck it has to do with accurate inputs tho
Kintaro Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Accurate inputs mission teaches you to not mash buttons when doing combos. It wants you to dash a certain amount, 2P, K (2), c.s, then sweep, revolver. You can't mash the combo out cause the combo requires a certain rhythm of input.
xJakartax Posted December 6, 2014 Author Posted December 6, 2014 I'm stuck on the Zato-1 with the Blitz Shield now. It's so tough. I'm sure I can get it after enough tries, but the timing is crazy hard.
SoWL Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Yeah, I understand that the combo requires a specific timing, but how am I supposed to get it without ever seeing it? I constantly drop the Revolver, since Ky drops down way too fast for it to connect. Also, the recovery mission doesn't really get any easier even if you hold down a direction.
Final Ultima Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Unfortunately I don't know what I can say to help you out on that one. As long as you've got dash momentum going into the 2P, hitting each next move in the sequence as the previous one completes should have the Bandit Revolver land every single time. And for those that are curious, there doesn't appear to be any bonus for S-ranking all missions, although I guess we won't know for certain until Leo is released along with Missions No.59 and No.60. It's nice to look at though.

Almost tempted to make a video to show it, but I think you should be able to get it. Most likely you're not inputting the revolver fast enough to catch Ky mid air. tataki Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 You only need 30 for the trophy, so no need to go OCD on the badly designed ones.
SoWL Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Finally figured out how to do that mission - you have to hold forward during the combo, only releasing it do do Bandit Revolver. And of course, it's not mentioned anywhere. At least now I can get to the challenges I can understand, like the Zato one Is the second Slayer challenge character-specific or something? I'm trying to complete it with Faust, and none of my pokes are fast enough to punish Mappa even on IB, and if I go for the specials, such as pogo, it tells me that I failed right after I hit him (probably because it's too slow?).
Jakestation Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 I got S from everything quite easily except blitzshielding mawaru and throwing zato was crazy hard to do.
tragic Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Zato challenge isn't that bad if you Blitz Shield with 2+S+HS, then wait a split second, 6+HS to throw. The trick is the slight pause.
tataki Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 In some missions you don't need 7/7 for S. In the reversal one 6 is enough.
Yukikaze Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 What is up with the reversal 1. I'm lucky if i get 1/7. I went in to practice and did 20+ DPs in a row no problem. So why doesn't it come out in challenge?
